As I said in response to the lengthy PM you sent, my issue with what you said had nothing to do with which side of the conversation you happen to fall on, and everything to do with your take about how this type of conversation doesn't belong here. THAT type of statement is hurtful to the people who have to live with this every day. Not everyone has the ability to go to a forum and pretend that nothing fucked up is happening. 

No one deserves to live with this.  It’s sad and tragic. There’s too much of it out there everywhere.. I wish for a world where people could see people as people. Work together to help one another and improve where we live and how we live for the betterment of all. We are different but we are all human. Such diversity because of where and how we grew up, but still people who all deserve the same. We all deserve happiness, acceptance, safety, health and to be treated fairly and with kindness and respect. It saddens and frustrates me seeing how it’s become and is. I deal with it at my work with my crew and constantly face it and have to go against them with their hypocritical and harmful views about this stuff, Covid etc.. it’s made me so stressed at work. 

It’s because of that and past things on the forums + discord with these situations, I didn’t want members coming in here to say hurtful things, to draw a line in the sand and cause bad blood and division amongst the community. I didn’t want to silence anyone or anything. I appreciate and respect those who fight for great, worth and deserving causes. Anytime we discuss something like this, things get too heated, people take sides and the league becomes full of frustration, anger and division. It wrecks good things. I didn’t want that to happen and escalate (but it has started to like it always does). 
We’re not allowed to discuss politics because people get too divided and heated with their opinions. I just wanted to avoid hate and anger amongst our amazing community that has seen so much growth since I first joined many, many years ago.

Not sure it's a matter of opinion whether or not someone deserves to be shot by police four times for lunging at someone with a knife. Cops were able to handle Kyle Rittenhouse, or in the example Devise shared, they were able to handle an active shooter in Moncton literally looking to kill cops. They should be able to handle someone lunging at another person with a knife. At the very least, a taser would've been enough force to do their job. They unequivocally did not do their job here.
