i think we're going to need to fire the Seattle coach. Someone needs to light a fire under that team. ;-)

scotty reacted to Fire Tortorella in Riga Reign Jersey Retirement
MIKE SZATKOWSKI JR - G
384GP, 193-149-23, .924SV%, 2.36GAA, 47SO
S40 Continental Cup Champion
S41 Scotty Campbell Trophy S41 Aidan Shaw Trophy Retiring a number is one of the highest honors an organization can bestow upon a player. In the history of the Riga Reign organization, only twelve other players have been remembered in this way. I’d like to formally congratulate Mike Szatkowski Jr. for his dedication, perseverance, and hard work as a member of the Reign. Szatkowski Jr. was without a doubt one of the top goalies to ever lace them up in Riga. In terms of all-time Riga stats, Mike finishes 3rd in games played, 3rd in wins, 1st in shut outs, 2nd in save percentage, and 4th in GAA. If the S35-S41 era Reign were able to extend their run over the duration of Szatkowski Jr.’s career, I don’t think it would be too farfetched to predict that Mike could have finished 1st or 2nd in most of these categories. Szatkowski Jr. joined the Riga Reign via the GM Re-create rule. Joining the team in S36, Szatkowski Jr. would man the net through some good times and some bad times. While the team came up short from S37-S39, Mike helped backstop the team to a Continental Cup championship in S40 and a tough Game 7 loss to the New York Americans in the S41 Finals. Once again, congratulations to Mike and Mike Szatkowski Jr!

So what you are saying is that the common denominator behind these problems is the head grader........

scotty reacted to JardyB10 in VHL Meme's
Actually on Saturday we were at buddy's place for his girlfriend's birthday, and I wanted to clear up some space on my liquor shelf. So I brought this 2/3 full bottle of wine that had been opened for like, half a year. It tasted like vinegar. I drank it out of a sippy bottle.

scotty reacted to HF92 in Hines to Seattle
Hines to Seattle!
Jace Hines was first introduced to the VHL world just before season 44 began play. Throughout last season he made a name for himself as a 6’1” goal scoring machine. Each week Hines passed several other draftees on “Kendrick’s Big Board.” While many teams were fond of Hines and his scoring ability he slipped into the second round. He was disappointed with falling into the second round but Seattle is the best situation for Hines. It was a really big deal for Jace to stay in North America, being from Colorado he wanted to stay in the NA to be closer to home. Also, Hines’ agent, the hall of famer Brannan Anthony, is a former teammate of the Bears GM Mike Szatkowski. The situation that Hines has been thrown into could not be any better and he looks forward to a long and successful career in Seattle.
