LOL I actually never noticed that... The passing and the points should really be inverted. I think the thinking was that "well you have 2 chances to get an assist on a goal... and only one on a goal, so Goals should be worth more." But by that same token... there's 3 possible points on a goal... so why is a point more valuable than an assist (which IS a point) I think the scale should be more like 8 for goal, 9 for assist, and 10 (or 12) for a point.
