Sunday is coming to a close and teams around the VHL are scrambling to submit their Team Point Task.
Last week at a press conference Phil Villeneuve was adamant about winning this friendly(ish) competition and stated that if Riga didn't win or finish within the top three then he would leave the team for free agency and find a locker-room with better activity.
This left several members of the VHL shocked. Until the results are in, no one will be able to truly verify whether this is all just smoke and mirrors or the strong-minded will of someone who really wants to stir up shit.
Although Villeneuve has not commented about the team's progress of the project, he has not stated anything reassuring to ease the mind of his wonderful GM - Gow.
Whatever happens, happens. Leaving Riga will have detrimental effects to Villeneuve pay - as he is not worth what Gow is paying him and his lack of talent would definitely result in reduced playing time elsewhere.
It is safe to say that if he does try to move out of Riga - he's an idiot.
But then again, that's why he's a hockey player... not a scientist.
