2. Haven't watched a movie in a longass time but I think it was Star Trek: First Contact (rewatch)

3. As much as Inspector Pitt is great, Jean-Luc Picard would kick his ass because 24th century technology vs Victorian technology? Yeah, Pitt isn't winning that one.

Questions:

1. Did you partake in any Black Friday sales? If so, what did you get?

2. What is the most overrated holiday food, in your opinion?

3. What holiday traditions does your player have? Are there any from their home country, whatever that is?

1. I tried to but I unfortunately did not. I went shopping for my girlfriends family at Marshalls, turns out they don't have ANY sales for black friday! Spent $60, was not ready to do that.
2. Cranberries. I feel like its just a knockoff version of gravy. I've never used cranberry sauce, highly doubt I ever will.
3. He's from Italy, so obviously no matter the day, he's gonna demolish a slice of pizza (maybe the whole pie). :)

My Questions

1. If you could only watch one TV series for the rest of your life, what would you choose, and why?
2. Who was your role model/favorite hockey player as a kid, and do you still like them?
3. Do you follow the NFL? If so, what's your favorite team and what are your thoughts on their season so far?

Questions from @Oatex

1. If you could only watch one TV series for the rest of your life, what would you choose, and why?

The original MacGyver, because at some point I would be in position where I know the show from A to Z, so then I actually could start replicating what he did in the show and learn new skills in life, rather than watching some drama where it's just the entertainment factor and nothing else.

2. Who was your role model/favorite hockey player as a kid, and do you still like them?

All our Latvian NHL players in 90's - Artūrs Irbe, Kārlis Skrastiņš, Sergejs Žoltoks and of course Sandis Ozoliņš! Love them still, unfortunately only 2 are still with us :(

3. Do you follow the NFL? If so, what's your favorite team and what are your thoughts on their season so far?

I do not follow NFL, so I wont be able to comment on this question much. But I have Titans cap and Steelers winter jacket haha (Im not from US)

QUESTIONS

1. What is that one vegetable/fruit that you don't understand how people can like it?
2. Do you find it easier to answer these random questions here or your teams press conference questions?
3. Has your season already ended or are you still in the fight?

Durian fruit....have no idea how but lots of people eat it and like it

2. Do you find it easier to answer these random questions here or your teams press conference questions?

Here as our teams PC is not as active. More wide range of questions here as well.

3. Has your season already ended or are you still in the fight?

Ended a long time ago but enjoying seeing how the playoffs develop.

1. When we get together for Christmas, which usually isn't actually on Christmas but just some time around the end of the year that works for at least most of us, we have gas station pizza. Why? Because it's Casey's pizza and it's delicious.

2. Should win the Top Defender pretty easily, though I don't expect to win either Top Offensive or Top Defensive Defender. Still, I was hoping for a better season, especially with how things started. Not sure I was ever really expecting much more, but I was feeling good about having my first 100-point season.

3. Wild fan, so I'd say they're doing pretty good, considering they've got the best record in the league. I don't follow the NHL too closely, so I go into every season with expectations that they are going to be at the very least a playoff team. That's a strange philosophy to have, as a Minnesota sports fan, but that same MN sports fan in me does not expect them to stay on top.

1. If you are not still playing in the playoffs, have you already begun to set your expectations for next season? If you are still in the playoffs, did you expect the post-season to be going as well for you as it has been?

2. How much do you care for the role play aspect of sim leagues, or are you purely in it for the simulation?

3. Do you or your family have any pets?

If you are still in the playoffs, did you expect the post-season to be going as well for you as it has been? We didn't make the postseason, but I'm excited for next season because I've been grinding to improve my player drastically. I'm going to make sure I'm an impact on the floor.

2. How much do you care for the role play aspect of sim leagues, or are you purely in it for the simulation? I let the gameplay do the talking for me, but I like some role play aspects of sim leagues. However, I would prefer just the simulation if I had to choose.

3. Do you or your family have any pets? Not as now, no.

1. A million dollars. If we're trying to be a bit more realistic, I don't usually ask for anything! If I want something, I want the money for it instead! But if I'm going to be asking for the impossible, that impossible would probably be some something like a games console. There's not much reason for me to have one, I use my PC for just about everything!

2. My player deeply despises poutine. He basically arrived in Canada and tried more dishes than ones that he's used to eating, and absolutely hated the poutine. Though, to be fair, he got it at a McDonald's. He still never wants to try it again.

3. To wake up, then fall back asleep for the rest of the day! That, or just cuddle with my girlfriend. That'd be perfect!

Ask:

1. What's your least favorite part about the VHL?

2. Another December related one! What is or has been your favorite part of December?

3. How does your player prepare for the holidays?

1. I honestly don't have anything that jumps into my head instantly. I guess a more active discord chat with new faces in it would be pretty cool.
2. Only 4 days in, but already talking about snow days at school, so that's pretty nice. Definitely looking forward to my birthday in a couple of weeks.
3. Signature move invented by his great grandpa (Alex Bridges the OG), you wear your socks inside out for every game. Proven to score every time you do the tradition.

My Questions
1. If you could have one gift ($2500 USD or less) for Christmas, but you ONLY get this one gift, what would you choose?
2. What is your favorite Christmas related drink and/or dessert?
3. Does your player have a unique or unordinary backstory to him/her? If so, what is it?

1. If you could have one gift ($2500 USD or less) for Christmas, but you ONLY get this one gift, what would you choose?

A: IRL coming from a family with a budget around $100 (per family member) every Christmas I don't even know what to do with that much money. I guess I'd like a new GPU for my computer since the one I have is dying.

2. What is your favorite Christmas related drink and/or dessert?

A: Spiced Eggnog!

3. Does your player have a unique or unordinary backstory to him/her? If so, what is it?

A: Not particularly. The name means something to me but the backstory to Trokker was fairly generic I think.

Q1: Keeping with the Christmas theme do you have any holiday plans to see extended family? Perhaps a trip to see grandparents, aunts, uncles or other relatives?

Q2: Do you have any little ones? If so, what is the one item on their wish list that makes you question the youth of today? For example: I see a brand new iPhone that just ain't happening, but I'm not opposed to tech gifts for kids...

Q3: Shifted back towards the VHL and the ongoing post season... had any playoff series surprised you yet? Any upsets you think shouldn't have happened?

We will be travelling to spend Christmas with my parents as we usually do.

I do have a 2 year old so at this stage we still get to decide what we get for him as he wants everything he sees. No requests as of yet but I think that will come later on as he gets older

I think the biggest surprise to me was the game 5 continental cup replay and the replay being the exact same score lol

3) Yeah, so I flew from NY to LA to try to patch things up with my estranged wife. She took a job that became a career, and I wasn't counting on that. Things were a little on the rocks - was thinking about spending the night in Pamona - when all of a sudden this group of Germans showed up with machine guns. Looking back through older comments for the hell of it! Here's something from Page 9...

1. The first season I played, I had a pretty decent showing I'd say for someone with under 100 TPE for the entire season! I fortunately have hit the 100 TPE mark, which means I'll probably be scoring a lot more!

2. Someone on the Wild who impressed me? Probably CJ Daniels since he scored a lot, that's all I can really think of!

3. Pepperoni, Pineapple, and ham. I will not take any further questions!

1b What's your player's current best moment in the VHLM if you're in the VHLM?

2. They say speed kills, but do you think there's a minimum speed that someone who's looking to be a scorer should be looking at compared to a defender, or do you think speed values remain relatively the same?

1a What was your player's highlight in the VHLM if you're in the VHL?

i think just getting drafted for the first time on my player was pretty cool and then getting traded to a contender for a deep playoff run

2. They say speed kills, but do you think there's a minimum speed that someone who's looking to be a scorer should be looking at compared to a defender, or do you think speed values remain relatively the same?
In terms of the sim, I think skating/speed is overrated when it comes to team performance. For individual points, having more skating/speed than your line mates (assuming similar PA/SC) will mean you have the puck more and more chances to get points.

3c What's the best and worst part of winter?

The holiday season is just an amazing time of year. Also fun to go skiing! The downside is that it can be so damn cold and snow impacting day to day is annoying.

1. Since it’s winter right now, I’ll say relaxing on a cold day with a hot chocolate or a cappuccino is the way to go. Coffee is for waking up and I drink tea when I’m recording (so not when I’m relaxing) but those are all top tier hot drinks imo.

2. I’m not sure what they will switch it to, if they ever do. I’d like for them to name them something like the Utah Yetis

3. I would need a massive playlist for all the different things I do, but if I had to pick 1 song then I guess I’ll take something like “Change” by “Deftones” cuz it’s a classic.

Questions

1. You are suddenly transported to the North Pole and discovered Santa and his entire village of elves are real. He asks what would you like for Xmas. What would you ask for, and it can be any 1 thing but only 1.

2. What are you doing this year to contribute towards the VHL donation drive?

3. You can meet any 3 people in the world and get to sit down with them all in the same room at the same time. Who would they be and why?

1: I would say a nice lifted truck with a bed filled with $100 bills would be the ideal gift this year, we'll see if Santa delivers.
2: I might chip in a couple dollars. I'm a high school student going into college so money isn't really my hotspot right now, but I do try and give whenever I can.
3: Easy. Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark, and Leonardo DiCaprio. They're all super interesting guys and I think it would be a pretty enjoyable time lol.

My Questions
1: What's your favorite book that you read in school, and why?
2: If you had to be a fan of a new NHL team, which team would you choose and why?
3: What's your favorite kind of soup? Does your answer change with the season or is it a year round favorite?

I think that would have to be Kane and Able. Really interesting book and I like how it is narrated switching back and forth among the 2 main characters from childhood to late life. I still re-read once every 2 years or so.

2: If you had to be a fan of a new NHL team, which team would you choose and why?

I am a Leafs fan but if I had to be a fan of a new NHL team it would probably have to be Pittsburgh. They were my second favorite team back in the days of Lemieux and Jagr.

3: What's your favorite kind of soup? Does your answer change with the season or is it a year round favorite?

Chicken noodle soup has always been my favorite, doesn't change with the season.

1) Super early Continental cup champion prediction, who do you think it will be and why?
2) Are you following the world cup of hockey? Predictions for who you think will win the gold?
3) If someone told you “This sentence is false.” Is it true or is it false?
