1. This is my first season with the VHL. I'm looking forward to learning the ropes and seeing what the VHL is all about!

2. Checking out the new graphics from other users is always a good time. I'm new to the forums so I'm still checking what is out there.

3. I haven't had a chance to take part in a simmed league yet as I just joined a couple of days ago. Currently don't have a favourite yet either but I'm sure I will once I start to get in to this!

4. I do, I'm looking forward to experiencing the VHLE after the VHLM.

5.  I wouldn't mind sticking with the same draft teams but I'm also open to moving around to other teams and getting to know other players I as continue my VHL journey. 

6. I enjoy Blokus! It isn't too time consuming and strategies change depending on your opponents moves.

- I’m excited to join a new team and experience the VHLE as a player for the first time ever!

 

2.  What is your favourite thing to check out on the forums?

- I sometimes check games, but when I’m less inactive I like to listen to all the podcasts.

 

3.  How many sim leagues have you been a part of?  Which is your favourite?

- I’m presently in EFL, and was briefly in SHL. I was part of 2-4 other defunct ones. The VHL will always be my favourite, though I enjoyed the SSN too.

 

4.  Do you plan on playing in the VHLE?

- Yes, for my entire career as a matter of fact!

 

5.  Do you want to stick with your draft teams or do you want to move around to lots of other teams?

- Depends. If my draft team seems to be set up well long term, I would like to stick with them. But sometimes you just gotta jump around!

 

6.  What is your favourite board game?

Good question. I like Catan, and Clue when it’s wearing skates. The Game of Thrones board game is fun too.

Just noticed I did the right one this week.

 

1) Seeing my players first full season. Gonna be fun.

2) Graphics, love looking through them to see what I can add to mine.

3) Just this one so im gonna have to say this one.

4) If I can avoid it no, GM's are much more spotty there, I had one who didn't even communicate in the LR

5) I prefer to stick with teams but if I know the GM I dont mind a trade.

6) Monopoly or Chess probably.

1. My player is working their way through the rookie season in Seattle. I didn’t expect him to get a lot of points right away and he hasn’t so that’s okay. Seattle’s performing well that’s all that matters.

 

2. Houston needs to find some more offense. After adding a great goaltender and making some tweaks to lines we should see some more success soon.

 

3. Has to be Mexico, starting their season 10-0 isn’t just luck. 

4. I like the number 9. I used to always like 7 or 11, but in my senior year of high school I played for the team and went with 9. That was my last hockey season of my career and the most enjoyable as well.

5. I love trivia. It’s so easy to get two TPE in like 2 minutes of research.

 

6. Always been a country fan. The slow songs mellow me out and the fast paced songs get me fired up I love it.

1. With the help of my GM and AGM for the Houston Bulls my players performance is looking good so far. I wasn't sure what to expect but knew my player would do well with the help I've gotten. 

2. I think our team is on our way to improving now that we've picked up a new goalie. 

3. Mexico City Kings are currently undefeated. We'll see where the season takes us and them!

4. Always tended to lean towards #56 so will have to go with that. 

5. I enjoy doing these Press Conference questions so far for TPE. I haven't dug too much in to other TPs yet so that may change as I check out more stuff.

so far I think Gage Barclay is playing extremely well for a rookie. No loses, decent sv %!

just keep practicing, review the game tapes and pick up on our mistakes. And earn that tpe!!

3.  Who is looking like the biggest threat in the conference?

With 26 points in just 10 games, Grizz Tazzo is absolutely dominating the ice right now

39, Dominik Hasek has always been my idol, his playing style was like no other!

 

5.  What is your favorite point task to do?

 

love the pressers. Love the opportunity to answer new and fun questions every week and seeing everyone’s thoughts and opinions!

Lots of EDM, especially Timmy Trumpet, nothing better to get ya hyped before a game

1. My player's nickname is actually his name. The real name from trailer park boys is Randy, but Mr. Lahey calls him Randy Bobandy.

2. We seem to be able to succeed against Halifax and Vegas, so at the moment I am not worried about either.

3. I pay attention to whatever league my player is in and also the VHLM always.

4. The most confusing part to me way the TPE cap. I always wanted to earn so much more.

5. I watched some clips on instagram but didn't tune into the live event. Looked meh.

6. YouTube! I can watch anything I want at the click of a button.

3. I pay a little but of attention to the VHLE.

4. I was overwhelmed by all of the different things I could put my tpe in, but I've gotten a handle of it now.

6. I watch more stuff on streaming services, but I enjoy watching YouTube videos way more than I do watching most shows/movies.

1. Slater, team members like to use my players last name as a nickname. Not so generic would be 'lives later' mocking my players first and last name! 

2. Nah currently not too worried, we still have some games ahead of us and the tides could turn.

3. I haven't been paying attention to the other leagues since I'm relatively new to the VHL and am getting used to how everything works.

4. Figuring out TPE tasks! But I'm starting to get the hang of it now.

5. I watched one game so far but am not currently invested in it. 

6. A mix of all three. If a bunch of new shows come out to the streaming services I have I'll have a binge stream session for so many days. Once I run out of shows/in-between seasons of shows I'll navigate towards cable and YouTube. Then I'll yoyo between the two until more interesting things are released on to the streaming apps I have.

1. Can't believe we are halfway through the season already! I'm still getting used to how things work around here so I currently don't have any suggestions for what we could make on this second half of the season. But I'm interested to see what others have to say! 

2. Not really surprised with any stats my player has at the moment. I feel like she could be doing better so I'm just going to keep doing TPE tasks and build up her stats. 

3. I'm relatively new still so I'm unsure about big trades between teams. Looking forward to see what happens though. 

4. I'd like to try out a .com article or a media spot. I get one out eventually, every week I keep saying I'll do one then fall short. Maybe this week will be the week! I have a general idea on how to get started on them but my limited knowledge of the league's and hockey in general makes it a bit harder to figure out what I'd feel comfortable doing. 

5. The DC Dragons logo is a pretty fun one! 

6. Right now Hawaii is sounding and looking pretty nice. Especially with all the snow I'm getting where I live! Could use some sun and the beach.

1. I think we keep this train rolling. We're in a good spot with a good group too.

2. PIMs, my last player was never in the box and apparently my current player is a goon.

3. I think someone in the top teams of the VHLM will make some "going all out" trades. We'll see if any rebuilder teams have the assets.

4. Podcasts for sure. I don't know how to set it up on Spotify and also just too lazy to do it.

5. I've always loved the haunting feeling from Prague's logo. It looks really cool.

6. Anywhere that's warm at this point since winter has been dragging along.

1. I just arrived to the platform. I really can't say but from looking at the standings it seems like you guys don't really need anything.

2. That Alex Carlson moved up in his hockey to play in the vhlm.

3. I would assume sellers will sell and buyers will buy. Make a push to be able to go far into the playoffs.

4. Well, reading a lot last night I think I got the hang of it. It was confusing at first but I looked at what others did and then it made complete sense to me. Especially with the guidelines.

5. I am biased so I will say the bulls.

1. I think the trade was good and am interested to see how more of our games play out!

2. It was a good topic for theme week. I enjoyed seeing the graphic and media spot updates from other players for theme week. My work week can get pretty busy though so sometimes its nice to plan things in advance. With that being said it would be nice if the theme for theme week was announced earlier than the week it is on so I can plan something in advance. Even if it was announced a week earlier it would help. Otherwise this was my first time participating in a theme week and I enjoyed it!

3. I still feel new to the whole drafting process. I really enjoy playing with my current team and wouldn't mind staying with them since its been a great experience! I'm open to the possibility of being drafted to another team too as I get used to playing in the league. But not sure what other team I'd have in mind at this stage.

4. We've got some great folks in our locker room! I enjoy chatting in the room with everyone so its hard to pick people. @Baby Boomer, @Dack, @Legacy, @AJW and @Triller are pretty active and have some good banter! 

5. I enjoy playing Volley ball but haven't played it in awhile, watching wise it would be hockey with the MLS as a second. Although since I've moved out of Vancouver I haven't kept up with the MLS games as much as I did before. It was easier to keep up with the MLS when your in the city and able to attend the games live!

6. Long weekend in Canada/BC is still on going for me. Just using it to chill and catch up on TPE tasks! I was hoping to get outdoors and get some sun but it decided to snow this weekend.

 1.  I think both sides fleeced each other. Miami gets a forward if I'm not mistaken that will be there next season to help their rebuild. Houston got a goalie who is ready to win now like Houston is. It was a good trade for both teams.

  2.  I didn't know what team ls have rivals so I made up one with my player. It was fun.

3.  it doesn't matter who drafts me.

1. Indeed I am! My player has been performing alright since I've been able to get more TPE tasks done and continue to work on their build. 

2. I'm gonna guess the San Diego Marlins. 

3. Not many we seem to be on lately! 

4. My player unfortunately is not able to grow a beard but if she could, she would grow it out in spirit of the playoffs! 

5. Mystery Men. It was late... On TV... And not super great haha

6. Teleportation! Then I could teleport to places I'd like to travel too. Or be able to get to appointments last minute and have more time for other things!

1. I am pretty excited for the playoffs. Pretty cool a brand new player can be on a good playoff team.

2. honestly, it does not matter. They will lose regardless.

3. 4 games all houston wins

5. I dont much many movies. they are too short to get invested in characters. I prefer tv shows. Last of us was the last one I watched.

6. My super power would be to mimic other  super heroes super powers.
