You talked about how the rebuild has gone well for Helsinki and the Americans. Lets not forget that you "received" Thordal and Kellinger AND Tukio via the Free Agency which are basically Elite. Yeah, the Americans made a good job overall, but having some talented player via the free agency helped a lot.

Just my opinion though.

While that is true, part of that is reputation based. Generally, the teams with the GM's that showcase the best ability to compete now and in the future end up winning the free agency wars.

I actually traded for Tordahl (a top-4 pick as well).

I also had the pieces to attract those players and had two legit starting goaltenders at one point that I could fit in due to strong cap management.  Not to mention, Tukio was a one year thing...regardless the rebuild has been very strong even when disregarding him.  That was just a move to try and win a cup.

I then moved pieces out to bring in these players and then younger players (Kyle, Tyler, etc.) to extend the string of success.

Make sure it's correct then.

You know full well that you underpaid because he was a pending FA and wanted to go to NY.

Not that I'm complaining. I got BOOM for free for a season, plus a cup, and then effectively Jardy. Tordahl just gravitates towards promising good teams.

Davos had also won the S24 cup over Toronto, just like S38. ;) Davos also has more cups than Calgary, and two ahead including S7 Avangard. Plus S11+S13 is only other time (apart from S36+S38) a generation has won two cups apart from the back-to-backs you mentioned. Davos is already the best franchise in league history.

125:15. I can't believe I survived something of this length, although I listened to this while I was framing a basement. As a first time listener, this was great. It had excellent content, transitioned from topic to topic nicely and was well-constructed. I loved the trash can segment, also the Bieska pronunciation was funny.

Professionalism: 2/2
Pretty organized for having 4 guys in one podcast. Devise sounds like Bob McCown sort of. Devise also controls the flow really well.

Editing: 1/1
Music yes, porn in the background, no.

Overall: 6/6
