Breaking your webpage because that's what we do here at the Power Poll, dammit!

With the Entry Draft happening earlier this week and the historical point tasks coming to an end today, it seems like a perfect time to look back on the history of the Entry Drafts here in the VHL.

S40 is probably one of the stronger drafts with Richardson and O'Malley running away with the TPE totals very early on in their careers, but how does the draft overall match up with previous drafts?

There is many highlights looking back through just a few of the seasons that I've been here for, and members who have been here for much longer will be able to touch on more since they were here for the drafts. For those who don't know much about the history of the Entry Drafts though, check out Muffins' first overall rankings which, surprisingly, takes a look at the first-overall picks from every draft in the history of the league.

Of course, we can't just look at the first-overall picks. There were many steals and players that blossomed to become great players with the league despite where they were picked. So the Power Poll this week will be on that topic! What two Entry Drafts stand out as the best for you and why? Try to recall how much TPE was earned by the players and how well the players performed in the big leagues! The poll is two drafts at a time as I couldn't use 40 choices. I would've stretched this topic to infinity if I could have. Damn forum!

Anyway, make sure to comment with your vote especially for something like this!

lol these noob votes for S39 and S40.

S17 HOFers: Strauss and Fowler

S18 HOFers: Kanou, Shaw, Hakkinen, Brekker, Saeijs. And all the other solid players like Chouinard, Clarence, Scarlett, etc.

Honorable mention to S27 + S28. Chershenko, Rafter, Smalling, Rybak, Sullivan, Labatte.

There's a chance that 30 players from S40 draft make the HOF though

Also why it shouldn't even be on this list, rather any draft that hasn't been HOF eligible yet.

1. S17/18

2. S27/28

Happy to say I was apart of both.

What made S18 so special was that while there were a lot of HOFers, there were a lot of solid 500+ TPE guys too.  That 3rd round had like 4 of them alone.

S17/S18 Team

Peyton Nydroj (700+) - Markus Strauss (812) - Cam Fowler (900)
Mathias Chouinard (700+) - Tarik Saeijs (913) - Anton Brekker (777)
Matthew Gunnarsson (431) - Jukka Hakkinen (702) - Chad Murphy (496)
Erik Pysyk (342)- Pekka Jarmuth (314) - Syd Drayson (441)

Olivier Scarlett (900+) - Michael Angelo (530)
Rhett Gouldhawke (482) - Vadim Volkov (500+)
Jordan Berglund (411) - David Vidal (359)

Aidan Shaw (1071)
Daisuke Kanou (979)
Joey Clarence (700+)

S27/28 Team

David Smalling - Alexander Chershenko - Volodymyr Rybak
Miles Larsson - Phil Rafter - Ying Qin
Brody Hodgson - Connor Evans - Troy Athera
Jack Mason - Leroy Jenkings - Nicomachus Noel

Ryan Sullivan - Elijah Incognito
Nic Riopel - Klaus Muller
Damon Wolfe - Jim Gow

Alexander Labatte

Both are very top-heavy but S17/18 is definitely far deeper and you can see why the S18 draft is so special.
