It is one of the hardest accomplishments to achieve in the league because it takes dedication, hard work and some luck. As you may know the Quadruple Gold Club consists of a championship in the following; VHLM, VHL, World Cup and the Super Cup. Currently there are only four members of the Quadruple Gold Club. The four handsome devils showing off their Quadruple Gold Club rings. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Quadruple Gold Club 1st Member Tuomas Tukio ~ Goaltender Founder's Cup: S30 World Cup: S32 Continental Cup: S34 Super Cup: S35 Club Member Since: December 28, 2013 (S35) The first member of the Quadruple Gold Club was a member of the Triple Gold Club before the Super Cup was ever started. When the Super Cup started in Season 35, Tukio was on the winning team and he was promptly promoted to the Quadruple Gold Club as the first ever player to complete the rare accomplishment. Tukio is the only goaltender to ever reach the club as well and has proven himself to be a winner at all levels, despite heavy criticism along the way. Tukio won with the Kolari Panthers in the VHLM, the Helsinki Titans in the VHL and represented team Finland at the World Cup, winning all three championships as part of Finnish based teams. 2nd Member Wesley Kellinger ~ Forward Founder's Cup: S31 Continental Cup: S35, S39 Super Cup: S35 World Cup: S37 Club Member Since: May 11, 2014 (S37) Wesley Kellinger was the second player to join the Quadruple Gold Club. The elite center was a part of a winning Yukon Rush team in Season 31 and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Kellinger would go onto win a Continental Cup with the Quebec City Meute. Kellinger joined the Quadruple Gold Club at the end of S37 when he represented Canada and helped lift them to a gold medal victory. Kellinger was the first skater to join the Quadruple Gold Club. It's no wonder many teams wanted to add Kellinger to their rosters after he joined the Quadruple Gold Club. He would later join the New York Americans and win a second Continental Cup. 3rd Member Chico Salmon ~ Forward Founder's Cup: S31 Super Cup: S35 Continental Cup: S37 World Cup: S37 Club Member Since: May 11, 2014 (S37) The third member of the Quadruple Gold Club joined at the same time as Kellinger, but because he had joined the Triple Gold Club later than Kellinger he is considered the third. Chico Salmon might not be a name that many people would have guessed was a member of the Quadruple Gold Club. He wasn't the flashiest player in the league, but he brought a winning mentality to every team he played on. He won a Founder's Cup with Yukon in Season 31 and in Season 35 he picked up a Super Cup championship. Season 37 was a great one for Salmon as he was apart of the Continental Cup winning Toronto Legion and the World Cup winning Canada team to earn himself a spot in the Quadruple Gold Club. 4th Member Jack Sound ~ Defenceman Founder's Cup: S30 World Cup: S34 Continental Cup: S37 Super Cup: S38 Club Member Since: July 20, 2014 (S38) 5th Member Tom Slaughter ~ Forward Founder's Cup: S35, S36 Super Cup: S38, S41 Continental Cup: S39, S41 World Cup: S40 Club Member Since: December 7, 2014 (S40) The fourth and final member of the Quadruple Gold Club is Tom Slaughter. Slaughter joined the club in Season 40 when the United States steam rolled the competition in the World Cup. Slaughter tied Tukio's record for fastest entry into the Quadruple Gold Club taking only six seasons to complete the feature. In fact it appears that Slaughter is vying to become the 5th member of the Quadruple Gold Club as well because he only needs another World Cup championship to have two of each. Slaughter won his Founder's Cup's with Ottawa and Bratislava and won his Continental Cups both with the New York Americans. He is the only active player that is a member of the Quadruple Gold Club. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you know who the members of the prestigious Quadruple Gold Club are. The story doesn't stop here though, as there is many players who are getting close with two or three of the required championships. The fact that there is only four players in the Quadruple Gold Club after seven seasons shows that it truly is the hardest accomplishment. Who will be #6? I'm actually surprised that there are so many considering that the once-every-three-years schedule now means most guys only get 2-3 shots at each World Cups and Super Cups. Plus the Super Cup has only been held what, twice? Anyone who played before couldn't have gotten it. Most I've ever had was 2 actually. Beketovhad World Cup gold with Russia and a cup with Seattle. I blame Zack Sound and the fact that there is limited data for world cups from the old site.
