The New York Americans had a very impressive and well heralded run for five seasons in the Victory Hockey League.  In these five seasons, they led the league in points a record four times, won the Continental Cup twice and additionally made the finals one other time.   It was a dynasty that already saw Odin Tordahl get his number raised into the rafters, and it will now see another one.

The Season 35 draft saw the beginning of the New York Americans rebuild, and it got off with a bang.  That draft would see a certain defender drafted in the first round that would play for the Americans for seven seasons on his way to what can only be described as a legendary career.

This player served as the captain of the Americans for a team record five seasons.  However, this player brought a lot more than leadership to the table.  He would win the Sterling Labatte Trophy an incredible five times in five seasons.  This would break the previous record of Daniel Braxton, who won it four times during his Hall of Fame eight season career.  After winning his fifth Labatte, this player would move to forward and go on to win one more cup and have a ton of success during his last two seasons as a VHL player.  Along with the accomplishments already mentioned, this skater led the league in assists a record three times, and additionally was a top rookie and top leader award winner.

It was an absolute blast playing with this individual and having him in the locker-room was fantastic.  He set out a goal for himself to make his best player yet, and he just did that by creating what I consider the greatest defenseman in VHL history.  He is a sure fire Hall of Fame player and one of the best players of his or any other generation.  Please help me welcome Conner Low into the rafters for the New York Americans.

Hey, thanks kindly. No I should have never moved up front but a championship came with me with front and Bentley on the back end so it worked out alright

On a side note, this guy made one of the classiest moves ever by stepping aside to let Odin lead the Americans. No pressure or request made, he just thought he would do it, and I'll never forget his generosity.
