Drafted by the Helsinki Titans in Season 39, Tyson jumped right into the VHL and scored 10 goals and added 33 assists, for 43 points in his rookie campaign. Clearly those are some respectable numbers for a first-year, and he even made himself for noticeable with 110 hits as well. In his second season, he followed up with 51 points, still with 10 goals, and this time he was a positive on the plus/minus side of things with a +16 and 104 hits. His first playoff appearance was that season in S40 in a seven game series loss to the Riga Reign, where Stokes had four assists and 10 hits in those seven games. In his third season, he upped his goal total to 17 and had 47 points with a +19, his best goal and plus/minus totals of his career. That season in S41, the Titans lost to Riga in the Semi-Finals in six games, where Tyson Stokes put up four points in their 11 total playoff games. In Season 42, Stokes was looking to build off some respectable seasons, and he did that with 23 goals and 29 assists, giving him a career milestone of 52 points. He eclipsed the 200 hit mark with 210 as well, the most he's ever had in that category too. In the S42 post-season, this time Helsinki was taken out in seven games by the eventual cup winners, the Cologne Express. Stokes only had one point. Season 43 is the season in which Tyson Stokes gave his best effort to date, where he split the season with the Helsinki Titans, being traded to the Toronto Legion. He put up 25 goals and 39 assists, for a sum of 64 points. He had his most shots ever with 272, and hits with 280. That post-season, Stokes and the Legion were swepted by the cup-winning Seattle Bears in the first round, with Tyson having three points. Last season in Season 44, Tyson Stokes dropped a little bit in point production. He scored 22 goals and 23 assists, giving him 45 points. He was traded in that season to the Stockholm Vikings, going from a losing squad to a winning one. His post-season luck did not change in S44 though, as the Vikings were taken out in 7 games by the Cologne Express. Stokes had 5 points in Stockholm's 14 game playoff run. This season, Tyson Stokes started the year on the Quebec City Meute, but found himself traded to the New York Americans. He seems to be currently on pace for his most productive season to date, with 50 points in 59 games so far. With 11 of those being goals, he looks to have developed into more of a playmaker this season with the Meute and Americans. It will be interesting to watch Tyson Stokes and the Americans for the rest of this season, as they have played themselves to being one of the VHL's favourites to win the cup, being first in the North American Conference. Toast 887
Content 3/3 - Fever is a good dude and I remember drafting him back in the VHLM. Hopefully Stokes does get another moment, but not at Riga's expense anyways...
