Project Player Two

With Season Fifty-Two fully underway In the VHL, we can finally see if the much awaited player two project is really worth its weight. Today we’ll take a quick look at where the ten players from the first group of the project two went.

Phil Shankly; 1st Overall @Phil

Once it was announced that Phil would be one of ten members with the first crack at the can in the player two project, the league pretty much had the same consensus that he would be taken First Overall.

Rhett DeGrath; 2^nd Overall @STZ

As STZ so eloquently put it, his agency only produces 1,000 TPE hall of fame calibre players. So DeGrath will be the looking to prove to those around the VHL the next eight seasons that he should have went First Overall.  

Daryl Dortch; 4^th Overall @evrydayimbyfuglien

Dortch could have gone higher in the draft, but with the names in front of him the Titans were more than happy when he appeared at the number four pick. Good member that seems to build decent players, good pick here.

Lee King Snatch; 5^th Overall @Smarch

I intentionally didn’t update my second player in hopes to find a team where a General Manager was playing a huge role in scouting and looking after his roster. I think many knew what I was doing once the draft started to get closer, but only Advantage seemed to want me out of the four GMs that picks in the top five. Hopefully I can build another good defenseman and help Stockholm win a cup.

Grigory Kopralkov; 8^th Overall @Toast

Toast was picked by the New York Americans Eighth Overall but didn’t last long for the organization, as he was traded to the Riga Reign before the beginning of Season Fifty-Two. The trade was labelled as the next best thing since sliced bread.

Alexander Thrower; 9^th Overall @gregreg

Greg was the next man up in the player two project to be drafted, and he drafted himself to the Cologne Express. Thrower is under 175 TPE so he’ll spend another season in the minors this year.

Undertaker; 14^th Overall @Molholt

A man that was very much under the radar right up till the moment Stockholm picked him with the Fourteenth pick, Undertaker already made the jump to the big leagues with a massive update before the season. Look for him to be a key player in the Stockholm rebuild at least for the next three seasons.

Overall^thKaylan Noffke; 20 @Daniel

Noffke quickly disappeared after declaring for the Season Fifty-Two VHL Entry Draft, but just before the draft the youngster from Australia made a brief appearance back on the boards. If he can come back full-time this pick will be a steal for sure.

Overall^ndOur Lady of Perpetual Motion; 22 @frescoelmo

The last member of the player two project, OLPM likely won’t be a VHL goaltender anytime soon. Look for him to help out a different VHLM club in the next few seasons before possibly making his rounds as a journeyman goaltender down the road.

Judocus Dermaux; Retired @President Donald Trump

The first casualty in the player two project, Dermaux didn’t even make it to his draft day. Too bad so sad!

After examining the numbers brought on by some members expressing concern over members getting spots that shouldn’t go to them in the player two project, it appears as though seven out of the ten players that were allowed to enter the Season Fifty-Two draft will make an impact in the VHL at one point or time. Those numbers shouldn’t be ignored, if we were able to retain new members at even half that rate this league might not have even had the need for the player two idea. In closing, I must say I understand the concerns that were mentioned before, but I also challenge the second class of the player two project to try to meet or excced the 7/10 players expected to make a significant VHL impact.

next season will be Muller's last then after that I will create another player so that would put me at until S56 that I would be allowed to create a 2nd player. thanks fresco and DT for that

the league shouldn't be subjected to two of your players anyways, player 2 wasn't meant as a punishment
