I’m glad we picked up a few wins.  It’s gonna be a tough conference.  There are a lot of good teams.

I’m worried that I’m gonna be letting the team down this season.  I gotta step up.

I trust Frank and PMb so I know whatever decisions they make it’s going to be good ones.  Plus they are good peeps.

Simon is being a shithead and letting Toronto and Davos win all the games.

Hmmm.  Well, I guess that Seattle is doing pretty good. No surprise there.

We are watching La Reina del Sur again.  Just finished season 1 and started back up on season 2.

1. I'm glad the season is finally here for the Wolves to kick some ass together. 

 

2. I wasn't super happy to start the same 0-4-1, but had faith we could turn it around eventually. 

 

3. Glad we were able to bring in some human players so we didn't have to sell off the team early.

 

4. The fact we started with 1 point in the first 5 games and now sit two points out of second in the NA

 

5. A bunch of teams starting off strong. to likely fall from grace before the end of the season. 

 

6. I don't have a lot of time for TV when I get home each night, so I have been watching a lot of Disney Jr and Treehouse lately.

1: I'm pretty excited due to being on a new team and having another shot to make the playoffs before the end of my career.

 

2: I was at about a 7 or 8. It's difficult to turn a season around after such a rough start but we made a few additions and it looks like my panic was for nothing.

 

3: I like the trade for us. It sucks to give up picks but we needed some depth and the players we got seemed to help us so far.

 

4: NYA struggling is a bit of a surprise to me. They have some crazy players like Richmond and a former Goalie of the Year with WWWWWW...

 

5: Chicago being bad. They traded everyone so it was clear they were preparing for a down season.

 

6: Solo Leveling and ReZero. Both are amazing animes so if you like anime then yes, highly recommend.

 

7: Uh...I feel it's gonna be some sort of sports gear. Like a hockey stick or bat or something but I don't know. Let's go with a Sword. Not sure what could be a neck of a sword but best I got.

1.     Do you read any of the VSN articles? Why or why not?

Nope, Since I stopped writing for the VSN a few season ago I just cannot find the material worth reading. It also seems to have gone down hill in providing interesting topics from a fact based standpoint; more opinion based rather then facts. Look at the BEST ALL VHLE players; they were not in fact the best VHLE players but the players that played in the VHLE the longest aka Career VHLE players. That shouldn`t be celebrated in my opinion. 

 

2.     Do you listen to any of the VSN podcast? Why or Why not?

Nope, I have tried in the past and tried again today but it was so disorganization and clearly not thought through what was going to be stated. It made it hard to consider their points valid when they couldn`t really determine what they wanted to say in the first place. Also ranked some team too high and some too low just based on standing alone with no facts to why teams were place were etc... I want hard clear precise facts when I hear the VSN talking not opinion and bias. 

 

3.     Do you listen to any podcast from/about the VHL? Why or why not?

I haven`t listened to one in a while since Spartan stopped doing his for a while, and the Australian boys have gone bye bye as well so it has been a while since I listen to one. I also don`t really have time to listen to podcast due to when I have time to read or listen to material from around the league. Aka at work...

 

4.     Is there anyone individual that you look forward to reading their media spots? Who and why?

I used to love reading @dogwoodmaple material as it was usually entertaining. Most of the big writers here I find are hard to follow or before my time but I try to read everyone that is part of the teams media every week as I think it is only fair and they can be interesting; if not slight traitorous like pumping up the tires of New York. I won`t lie at first it i read that as sarcasm and does come across that way only due to New York struggles again!! LOL!!

 

5.     Scoring has been an issue for the Vancouver Wolves what should the GM do about it?

I think we should drink a few Blood Marys; great right pissed off and have a bar fight. Maybe even a line brawl as that will bring the team together and stop drinking our goalie his already full of enough holes!

 

6.     Should we see any further punishment after the drinking incident over the weekend? What should it be and why?

Since I hate the drink Blood Mary; the players involved should have to drink as many Blood Mary as they can then run 5K. That should fix them from drinking the tender or at least think twice. Somehow this made me think of a bad drinking story about a young guy drinking and thinking he was hooking up with a cute sexy Asian girl to find out he hooked up her grandmother. LOL!!

 

7.     Bonus: Favorite drink? Why?

I am a rum and coke guy as I used to order a triple rum and coke in a pitch every time I go to the bars. Made me famous at the bar since I was usually one of the only guys walking around with is own pitcher of hard liquor. Even my wife remembers me for my pitcher and yeah, I used to wear big fluffy fluorescent yellow slippers to the bar. Dam I was dumb or just really plastered all the time!! LOL!! My standard really dropped after living in Banff for three years and heading to the bars every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Not to mention special Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. I wonder why I handle my liquor so well now!! LOL!!

1. I don't think I read VSN articles. I read articles written by my teammates and that's it.

1. Every now and then, but lately I have not been as active. I just recently looked at forum for the first time in a couple weeks.

Yes but only if I find the title interesting or it's a topic I find interesting. For example as soon as I see VHLE in the title I skim right past it. I also have a hard time reading the ones about the VHLM unless it's a prospect we're interested in drafting. Maybe I'm just a bad member?

I rarely listen to the podcasts and I should really make time to do that. I used to listen to them more but sometimes they're quite long and I can't find a good half hour to dedicate to it.

Same as the above. I think you've motivated me to start doing it again.

@jRuutu and @dogwoodmaple always made media spots that gave me a chuckle I always look forward to reading there's.

They should probably fire the GM And get someone in there that can fix it. It's been an issue on and off for seasons and I can't figure out why. Last season was finally a nice start and then we just regressed back to what we had been doing previously. I wish I had the answer I want to see our players put up points and win awards.

Yes @Scurvy and @Smarch need to apologize to Soju and let him ride the front seat of the team bus. I'll have part 2 out next week. I've lacked the creativity and had some writers block this week.

Probably Riley Martin.  He can win a fight, unlike Logan and frankly Bollos is the Lady Byng of the VHL

My cousin.  604 and fearless.  Fellow southpaw he was a beast in Junior hockey (Spokane) and was drafted by Chicago in 1st round.  Fought a lot in AHL when league was at its toughest. Away from ice he was just as nasty. Always a risk going to bar with him as it didn't take much to set him off.

I’ve only seen Ninefingers and Martin gets in fights.  At least Riley Martin either wins or ties.  Ninefingers just loses.  But even worse, Trueno doesnt even fight.  Bump up the fighting

Prob will go with Tommy Sleeves.  He’s got the pedigree

My mother.  She had to put up with six kids and we did a lot of shit.

1. I think it's a good theme week. My last player was a tough guy so if I wanna do a graphic it makes my job easy

2. Seems like a good idea to me. get other peoples views.

3. Bollos de Trueno. Up there in hits with Logan Ninefingers in hits, but also has almost 4 times as many blocked shots which makes them pretty tough

4. Tommy Sleeves. Tied for first in fights with 5, but leads the league with 3 wins

5. My sister. She just beat cancer and she kept going to work while she was receiving Chemo and was feeling like shit
