King: “Gotta find more consistency on my end. We’re doing our part to get stronger, faster, better on the ice but unfortunately, we haven’t seen that on the ice. That’s the push right now is to translate that success.

 

2) How do you measure a successful season?

 

King: “Success is measured by the team’s success. Individually, I want to be consistent on and off the ice. But ultimately it comes down to the team’s success.”

 

3) would you rather win a cup on a team with a dead locker room or almost win on a team with an active locker room.

 

King: “I think a team that’s active can win a championship. I also believe hardship leads to stronger champions.”

 

4) Outside of Hockey, do you watch any other sports?

 

King: “I used to watch Football but I don’t watch it anymore. I watch wrestling but not as much as I used to.”

 

5) Who are some players you look up too?

 

King: “Lidstrom in terms of players. In terms of the VHL I would love to model myself on great GMs like Spartan and Bana and of course Beaviss.”

 

6) You have to cut one player from your team. Who is it and why?

 

King: “Right now it’s me. I’m not satisfied with my play.”

Playing clean defense, I think I am a good defender but find myself in the box with some frequency.

That will vary by season but this season anything short of playoffs won't be a success.

I'd rather be in an active locker room for sure.

I watch some football, and esports.

Other great defenders of this era, Smitty, Condor, McWolf, Hackett, and of course of own Jeff Downey.

I would cut myself, couldn't bring myself to cut someone.

1. Emi's hockey boots are pretty stinky, she doesn't wear her socks in there and her cheesey feet smell gets all over them. Yuck.
2. I think I would be likely to get lost on a road trip, I'm not very orientation oriented, and I would be too busy drinking monster energy to figure out where I am going.
3. I heard a roumour that Venus is a big skunk plushy nerd.
4. I can imagine that there would be some similarities between managing a team and managing a city or country, so I would imagine that beavis would make a good politician with the experience and skills that he has learned form GMing.
5. When I have to fly between Halifax and Vancouver, I like to watch chicken  run on repeat, I like the part where they nearly get turned into chicken pies. Yum. Dead chickens are so delicious.
6. When we win I take a long nap to reward myself.

-I honestly do not think we need anyone else, we are already pretty full up and battling for ice time

-I would throw scoring up from 99 to 109 for sure, break the system

-I have been pointless for the last 10 games so definitely not, it's been a rough patch

-Defense trumps over everything, if you are to be a good player you need to defend

-Only if it is an after party for winning the cup

1. Honestly we could've used a proven goal scorer. With young performers in Tightrap, King, and Sandstrom, it would've been good to get a veteran for depth. Either way I think we'll be okay, Sandstorm and Tightrap will do well in the postseason and King gets going in a flash.

 

2. Scoring. I wish King was a more consistent scorer.

 

3. No. King had had a lot of struggles and it's a point of pure frustration that's beyond me.

 

4. It's a commitment. If you want to be a big part of this community it takes a lot of extra effort.

 

5. I'm focused on a postseason bid for the Wolves.

 

6. I think another expansion is a bit far off. I'd like some other things to be addressed before we start thinking about another expansion.

I think we are in a good spot, not sure what we could do tbh.

Scoring maybe?   More goals is more good.

I feel like I am slumping a bit compared to last season, but I should end up with more points than I did so I guess that's a positive.  My defensive numbers are down, but I think overall our D is better than it was last year, so I may just be doing less individually.

 

4) What is something you got to learn as soon as you joined the league?

I learned about creation deadlines and how when you create the day before the deadline to the next draft, you should probably recreate the next day.

 

5) Are you looking forward to the off-season?

Hopefully off-season is a long way away for us!

I think expanding to non traditional hockey places is a neat idea.

1. "Right now I'm focused on the postseason. We had a good end to the regular season, seem to have found a little bit of our game and mine especially. I'm focused on the playoffs, I want to win a championship."

   I want to grow in my finesse with the puck and be more elusive and better positioned, I can shoot well but if I am in garbage spots those shots mean nothing

   Honestly with how crazy and wild this group is I think it should just be a reality show

   Usually massive orchestra, get me in the zone
