There has been a lot of talk across the forum following the "Pick who wins gold" post. There appears to be a strong consensus of users picking Canada as their Gold medal champions.

While as GM I take this as a complement, you may be surprised to learn that Canada is not the all out favorite to win it all. This is purely based on each rosters average TPA.

Lines, tactics, backup goalies and STHS' daily mood can of course effect the outcome of any game.

Below is my power ranking including tournament rank in each data set;

Average TPA Across the WJC

Including all 9 forwards, all 4 defense and starting goalie

1) Europe (GM @Esso2264)
Forwards: 243.9 (1st)
Defense: 256.8 (1st)
Starting goalie: 310 (3rd)

2) Canada (GM Jubo07)
Forwards: 232.7 (2nd)
Defense: 202.25 (3rd)
Starting goalie: 350 (1st)

3) USA (GM @Bonzaijoe)
Forwards: 157.9 (3rd)
Defense: 237.5 (2nd)
Starting goalie: 338 (2nd)

4) World (GM @Eudaldkp)
Forwards: 131.8 (4th)
Defense: 155 (5th)
Starting goalie: 161 (4th)

5) Asia (GM @Galdoblame)
Forwards: 85.4 (5th)
Defense: 160.3 (4th)

Interesting take but my opinion is goalies are everything in STHS and Canada having the best goalies makes them stand out for me

If that were the case Calgary would have won the past 4 cups in a row.
