Last season was the first time someone usurped Smitty – it was Lincoln Tate with by far his best season to date. Here's what the TPE whore defencemen have achieved so far: Tate – S71 Labatte & Wylde & 1st Team Adrienne – S70 Wylde Flowers – S68 Wylde, S71 2nd Team Pavlov – S70 1st Team & Cup Hogan – S71 Beketov, S68, S69, S71 Cup Summers – S71 Beketov & 2nd Team Hackett – S69 2nd Team Fontenette – S70 2nd Team A lot of defencemen, no one really standing out yet. This doesn't mention guys who haven't got awards for the efforts like Garcia, Valentino, Block. Meanwhile, Roque Davis is on the way up already. With none of these names scheduled to retire for another 2 seasons at least, it's really all to play for. Never has such a high proportion of the high TPA players been defencemen, especially when compared to the wingers in the league. It feels like some defencemen should be going into the Hall of Fame out of this era but who is going to take that step?
