Helsinki Titans Press Conference  Week Ending: February 3rd, 2019 1) The Titans are going to the playoffs for the first time since S61. How does it feel to bring such a historic organization back to the big stage? 2) The Titans currently sit at 3rd in the standings, partially in thanks to an incredible 11 game winning streak. What changed within the team to help make that possible? 3) The VHL All-Star game is coming up soon, which Titans would you like to see represent the team? 4) You've been playing with veterans and potential hall of famers in Keaton Louth and Mats Johnsson all season. What kind of an impact did they have on you as a player? 5) Which team would you like to end up playing in the first round of the playoffs? One of the most fun things with expansion is unveiling new teams. One of the most stressful things about expansion is...unveiling new teams! To anyone who was here before Season 60, you'll know that most of our current logos, for both the VHL and VHLM, were designed by a member who is, well, no longer a part of our community. Even if you weren't around, you've probably heard of him, and perused a certain thread where he appeared quite often. Well, with that member gone, finding new logos was a bit of a challenge, as seen with the issues that came when it was time to add Halifax to the fold. Fortunately, work done by @Banackock and @Beaviss lead to us finding logos that we are all extremely happy with, and a source to return to when the time comes to add new teams to the picture. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the way the process turned out, and, as @Victor can attest, I absolutely love the Menace logo!

Everybody and their mother knew that, with the way recruitment has gone, the league would see itself growing, at some point in the future. If you told me when I took over from @Higgins that that future would come in Season 65, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Season 62 had a nice bump in first-generation members, though it was heavily carried by recreates, with 5 going in the first round. Season 63 saw the first real impact of first-gens, with 9 of the first 10 picks being new members (and the first 4 all being first-gen)! Season 64 was another heavy first-gen draft, but probably won't be remembered as fondly as S63. Still, one thing all these drafts, and the upcoming S65 draft, have in common is depth! Teams in the VHLM are starving for space, and nearly all have hit the 8-player waiver limit. The inclusion of 2 VHLM teams creates 18 top-9 forward slots, 8 top-4 defence slots, and 2 more starting goalie slots. What's more is that, depending on how recruitment goes, we may see a need for even more teams, even sooner than many think...

Eh, clearly it doesn't stop at the starter. If you set it too low, it's very possible the goalie who comes in second will get pulled as well, which was seen here lol Something odd about seeing a tenure start in the future, but continue to the present...

@Members This is to announce that, retroactive to last week, all re-creates for the S66 Draft, and onward, will follow a new set of carryover rules. We have decided to separate starting TPE from Carryover TPE, while also creating a standard carryover percentage that will apply to ALL players, who retire with at least 50 TPE. Going forward, members who retire a player with 50+ TPE will earn a 4% carryover, to a maximum carryover of 50 TPE, which will be added to the initial 30 TPE that all players begin with, meaning a starting maximum of 80 TPE for all re-creates. If you re-created a player last week, please post in this thread, and we will adjust your player's TPE to the correct starting amount. Thank you, @Commissioner

Doubles is applicable to non-doubles week PTs. So you cannot add doubles to Theme Week. Nor can you double a Free Week.

Yes, maximum of 7 Uncapped, and themed tasks must be submitted by Sunday February 3rd. If someone has already claimed a non-theme task this week, they may claim theme week next week, but all submissions are due by the end of this week People with jobs may also claim the following, so long as they complete their work this week: The @Recruitment Crew may claim +7 uncapped @VSN may claim +6, but will have to submit a VHL.com for the extra +1

Obviously, that did not happen, as I was still reeling from my portal mishap from the other day. With that said, this season's theme week will run for this week, ending February 3rd! If you have already submitted a point task (unless by some luck it was already on theme), you may submit a point task for theme week this week, and claim it for the week ending February 10th (must be submitted by February 3rd to claim the Theme Week bonus). Now for the good stuff: this season's theme week will be based on League Expansion.
