Gentleman’s agreement that as soon as the picks become available, we trade them.

*If Fitzgerald updates by the end of playoffs, Helsinki trades S67 HEL 4th to Quebec for S67 QUE 3rd @Beaviss
  4. Do me a favour, don't ever sim VHL again please. kthx
  5. Like I said, that's a decision for their VHLM career that affects their entire career. It's not something I'd want a first-gen member deciding within their first season in the league (and would not allow a re-create for free when they know the league already). If, by their 2nd full season, they want to make the switch, then they can afford to make the purchase, which nullifies any need for a free switch.
  6. I'm against letting players make decisions for the VHLM team that would affect their entire career. Much as they may want to help out their VHLM team, they'll only be there for a max of 2-3 seasons, and what happens if they regret making that decision later on?
  7. Can switch from skater to goalie, and vice versa, within one month of first-gen creation. Re-creates who want to switch Skater/Goalie can do so until their pre-draft playoffs start (i.e. S64 playoffs for S65 draftees), while retaining their original carryover, but lose all tpe earned with the retiring player. Forward/Defence needs to be purchased no matter what
  8. Not sure I really agree. The position switch isn't extraordinarily expensive. It can be easily purchased by the time you enter your post-draft season. If it's about changing your draft ranking, then let teams know you plan to position switch. If it's about wanting to switch positions, do it once you have enough money, which, again, not much is needed...
  9. It shouldn't have been allowed, but it is what it is. AGMs taking any kind of pay is a new thing, and like Beketov said, the roles haven't been "League Approved," which is part of why we're not huge fans of it to begin with. It used to be basically a mentorship role, where the AGM was paid by getting the experience, and eventually being promoted to GM of some sort.
  10. Yeah, I mean that makes a bit of sense, but it kinda doesn't at the same time when you consider that the first gen purchase requires you to basically be inactive for 6 months before you can buy it. I think for now, we're ok leaving it as is. With the other stuff that's being discussed, we'll need to figure this stuff out anyways, so no point in making changes twice.
  11. I recruit you, and get TPE for that. You recruit Shark, I get TPE for that too (Pyramid Schemes lol)
  12. Yeah, not sure when AGMs started claiming 2 TPE, but even if the GM isn't claiming any, AGM can only claim 1 TPE per week.
  13. Oh man that drawl is aces @Stoffiday sounds like Ike you’ve got a fat lipper packed in there, just talking with that sweet southern charm
  14. Helsinki Titans Press Conference Week Ending: January 6th, 2019 What were you doing when the clock struck midnight for 2019? Helsinki swept the board this off-season on free agent signings. Who's your favorite addition to the locker room? Who would win in a drinking contest, Sidney Crosby or Vaydar Odinsson, and what would be their drink of choice? We saw a few breakout performances last year from Borwinn, Crosby, and Odinsson. Who on the team will surprise the league most this season? To start the season, we've faced Riga 4 times. How do you feel about those games, and does it change your outlook for the season? What is your favourite VHL or VHLM logo, and why? @BarzalGoat @DaftRaincloud @Quik @Pandar @Jubo07 @BOOM™ @joeyboucher1 @SidTheKid87@monkeywrench15 @JohnnyT_77 @Sonnet @BBNAT @Jtww @Hybrid1486 @Sohva @bagelbitesisbae @leafsman @Joobles@Beaviss @BluObieZ
  15. Honestly, I don't know when it became a thing that every player starts with 30, no matter what. I know that the 30 base to start began after I went inactive the first time, possibly even after Gallo. To me, when it was first talked about, though, it was supposed to be only a first gen thing, to help new recruits get their foot in the door and not get blasted by guys with max carryover. Once that member re-created, it was supposed to be their carryover that they used, not the free 30, so it was a true max of 75 carryover, rather than really a 45 max that it is now... Not that I'm really against leaving it as it is, but I don't think more TPE for recreates is really the answer either. I'd prefer to go the other route, though I can see why people would be against it.
  16. Just seeing this now. Like I’ve said before, I’m always available to talk if you need, I know it’s been a tough stretch for you lately with the land deal falling through there. As for the team, letter or no, you’re a large part of the team, and someone whose opinion I respect. Hopefully 2019 brings better things for you @BOOM™, love you man!
  17. Hope everyone had a safe and happy night! (Even if it was 26 hours ago for them @BOOM™)
  18. I’ve got a few issues with this. First is that we have no idea what kind of impact coaches make, and whether it’s significant or not, either option presents an issue. If there’s no significant impact, then what’s the point? if there is a significant impact, then that brings up a whole bunch of issues. First being how long until we have actually decent coaches after implementation? You can’t start them close to being really good, or it defeats the purpose. But then how long until we have enough decent coaches for the league, and how long until some of those become “good” coaches? Especially if they’re capping out at 5-8 tpe per week with an update scale that would take roughly 500 tpe to create a good coach. Then you have to wonder how this will impact an already volatile sim. Do players really want to be on a team where there’s a shit coach? You’ll have players leaving really quick if their “coach” sucks. obviously, there’s the issue of removing players from the player pool. But also it’d be similar to goalies right now, where there’s only so many spots, and no backup slots to even satisfy it that way. If somehow this did become popular, theres the possibility of coaches not having teams. ————————————— I'm not completely opposed to the idea of implementing coaches, but it would need to be on a team level, rather than members. Basically, it would need finances for teams, based on performance. Teams can purchase different levels of training camp and different levels of coach, depending on how much they have available. Regular coach + training camp would cost $15M (5/10), and then go up or down from there, with teams receiving a base of $20M, and $12M just for showing up each season, with different bonuses for making the playoffs, winning a round (or having a bye), winning 2 rounds, and winning the Cup. Something like Ike that would make more sense, if we ever decided to go down this road, IMO
  19. Honestly, I was surprised to see him there, not bragging lol
