Was Portal Practice Facility a Mistake?
Victor replied to Gustav's topic in Suggestions and Complaints
I like practice facility on the forum because it's like a pulse check of how many people are active each week.... -
In today's VHL, 80+ points every season + Scott Boulet Trophies = definitely. You'll be in the Moscow Hall of Fame, the only HOF that matters.
-
It's the last season in the VHL for probably, so far, the most individually successful draft class of the 60s – S63. No one who retired last season is a guarantee for the Hall of Fame, while Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen and Rayz Funk are the only two younger players with that HOF vibe about them. S63 in the meantime has a lot of strong candidates, and with half the season gone, are they helping or hindering their case so far? Julian Borwinn @Jubo07 Firmly in the race for the third top scorer win of his career, Borwinn is also just 31 points off 700 career points. Generally, that's just below the mark where you become certain of a HOF place, but only two players have hit 700 out of players whose careers started after S60 – Podrick Cast and Matt Thompson. Considering the era and his trophy case, Borwinn should be a shoe-in. Kallis Kriketers @hedgehog337 As a recent trivia question revealed, all goalies with 300+ career wins are in the HOF. Last week, Kriketers became the 11th goalie in VHL history to join that club. His final season in D.C. isn't really helping his case, but with 3 Shaws, 4 Cleganes, and that era-transcending S69, he will probably get the call alongside Borwinn, playoffs be damned. Joseph McWolf @McWolf He's not having his best season, but McWolf is still just about in the mix to get 8 straight 200-hit and 100-shot block seasons. That puts him in very niche territory – with 500+ points significantly ahead of the decent guys like Jordan Berglund, Jack Sound, and James Lefevre, but behind the big names like David Walcott, Fabio Jokinen, and Japinder Singh. Given how hard it is for defencemen to score these days, McWolf probably gets in sooner rather than later. Everyone else After that, it gets a bit muddled. Ryan Kastelic @Enorama, Dan Wilinsky @oilmandan, and Tzuyu @tfong have been remarkably consistent for their whole careers but never quite broke out into superstar territory. Likewise for Alexander Pepper @Sonnet, a star in S66 but currently on pace to be that first 300-win goalie outside the HOF. Randoms @hedgehog337 might just end his career with 2 straight Scott Boulet Trophies but it was probably too late a surge.

Surely the worst case scenario for Riga is forever remaining a top 3 team and not winning a cup. Haunting.

Faced with the threat of 3 straight losses we were like.. nah.

Cancel the cup parade boys we're going for first overall.

Oh wait that's a lie, put some respect on 9-season wonder Markus Lidstrom. -
I also wasn't here, but I assume it had to be one of Cologne and Quebec and 1) Quebec was in the midst of 4 straight finals and 2) Cologne had just been run into the ground by Anderson. I too think it's a great shame but then that would have been the case for any of the 9 non-Stockholm franchises. And even Stockholm had a dope logo.

This content. Right here. Inject it straight into my veins. and won a cup to boot! Leyenda. Love that @Tagger is still hanging on against an indefatigable robot. Although I guess Encarnacion is a bit of a monster too. -
Knew this was a fantasy when I saw Vasteras.

I wish Telker was partying with the point-per-game boys. ? In the playoffs perhaps....
