That's not the case of course, its just most members' mannerism here really. Everyone's work is probably underappreciated but it is appreciated. I think you'd be among the top ranked VHLM GMs if you asked anyone. I mean, your early VHLM articles in the mag probably got more praise than any of my articles ever. But you can't expect the same reaction every time - when people say great mag edition they aren't ignoring your contribution.

Yeah my main concern about this before was weakening of draft classes, which the two player system covers. I still don't love the idea but the limit could be increased to 11 or 12 seasons. I still think there should be a limit though and harsh depreciation and carryover as proposed. To those concerned about those protecting the current system: 1. 7 season careers, as mentioned, are not an end yo HOF career. Lindberg, Osborne, Wahl just a few recent examples. 2. We're not protecting our personal records - most of them belong to a now inactive Scotty Campbell. And they'll be hard to reach anyway as Streetlight showed with the O'Malley example. All-time stats may be a bit skewed nonetheless but I'd suggest starting an additional spreadsheet for everyone who retires after the implementation of this + two players. Because I feel second players will change league stats anyway.

Also stevo, Tylar, Caillean - you're not serious right? I mean you can buy the VHL.com upgrade - even if you miss every second week you're missing out on what, like 20 TPE? Over your entire career!

This does not absolve you of the crime of including unenforceable clauses which should really be covered by an element of trust between player and GM!

I was just updating the VHL/VHLM awards section of the Hall of Fame the other day and found some quirky things from a historical perspective. With my S50 project kicking in soon on the mag I won't have a slot to talk about these however, so here's a quick rundown. Lowest-scoring VHLM ever Bogdan Podarok had a fine last season in the minors, inspiring Bratislava to a second straight (and sixth in 18 seasons) Founder's Cup. He was head and shoulders above the opposition but also has the distinction of being the lowest-scoring top scorer in VHLM history. His 121 points were just 1 ahead of the VHL's leader Edwin Reencarnacion and no one else had led the VHLM with less than 130 points. Back in the day 200 points was a common sight and Evgeni Fyodorov of course set the record with 186 goals and 272 points back in S21. This is no slight on Podarok though, scoring levels have been steadily decreasing in the VHLM ever since a hard cap of 175 applied TPE was instituted 7-8 seasons ago. This season there was a two-way tie for most assists with 63 – some previous winners won it with more than 126 that Cian Mercer and Ken Anderson had combined. Only two players had 100 points at all, which would have been unheard of in the old VHL. This is a positive change IMO as high-scoring VHLM gods were a disheartening sight for newer members before. It just seems odd to someone accustomed to seasons like this, this, and especially this. I changed my mind, I don't actually have anything else interesting to point and this article would get too long anyway.
