I am so happy to be the GM of Team Mercenaries this year. Last year this team was able to surprise everyone and take home bronze! The competition will be tougher this year, and one position in particular doesn't have the same type of skill as last year, but I am still confident that this is a team that can at the very least compete for a medal! The cast-offs are here, and just like John Scott, they aren't just going to lay down and let you step over them! Without further ado, lets introduce the S48 Team Mercenaries roster:

I like how you used sub font for your texture, it looks great. Not huge on the whole sepia coloring, I think you could go with the original coloring. The font should be lower imo, focal point wise and shits. The lighting is good and your background work looks good too. Looking forward to your next artwork.

After downloading the pack, I came up with this, still a little iffy because it's still too similar to MY previous style for my liking, but I found some new techniques.

The Seattle Bears shocked the world in Season 43 with a Continental Cup Championship.  The unexpected cup ended a long winless streak dating back to Season 28.  The win finally ended the second longest drought behind only Stockholm (Vasteras).  In the time leading up to the cup win and the time since the franchise hasn’t been very good.  In fact the team as a whole has been pretty bad since the early seasons when it won back to back cups.  With some semblance of stability and a few seasons rebuilding this franchise could finally see some changes for the better.

Forwards

S41 - Jakub Rhinehart

Rhinehart will never be considered a VHL superstar or be talked about in terms of former great players.  He will however be forever remembered as one of the most dedicated Seattle Bears’ players in franchise history.  This dedicated depth winger has taken pay cuts and refused to take larger contracts elsewhere in free agency.  Despite numerous teams interested in bringing him aboard to winning programs and potential Continental Cup Victories he still remains a Bear for life.


S46 – Shawn Muller

Shawn Muller has young kids around Seattle excited and old men hoping for a return to winning days.  He is a top end prospect ready to make the jump to the VHL in Season 47.  Muller is a two-way forward that plays sound defense and creates offensive opportunities on the counter attack.  For such a young age he shows great patience on the ice and has an unexpected knowledge of the game.  Expect to see him on the Ballot for Top Rookie and possibly the Boulet next season.

S46 – Niels Skovgaard

Skovaard is another great forward prospect that excels more so offensively than Muller at the expense of physicality and defense.  Niels has more of a superstar mentality and kids hope to grow up and play like him someday with the flashy moves.  Another likely candidate for Rookie of the Year expect Skovgaard to become a household name by the end of Season 47.

S45 - Jace Hines

Jace Hines is very similar in play style to Niels Skovgaard whom we previously mentioned.  These two will fight all season for first line minutes as Hines is having a fairly productive rookie season with Seattle.  In 57 games this season Hines has scored twenty-two goals and 40 points.  That is good enough for third in the league for rookies.  Scouts say he doesn’t have the same top end prospect talent as others but he is expected to be a good second line winger.


S46 – Jory Rose

In the Season 46 Jory Rose fell down further than many predicted.  He also went higher than many other analysts predicted.  That was the uncertainty behind Rose heading into the draft.  Now nearly a season in he is showing the potential that many saw within.  He will be making the move up to Seattle for Season 47 and may earn the starting job.  Rose brings playmaking ability that most of the other Seattle prospects lack.  He is one of the few special players who can make those around him play better.

S45 – Maxime Deschamps

Lastly but not necessarily not least is Maxime Deschamps a physical enforcer who prefers a control style game.  He doesn’t often crack the top three star lists or score the game winning goal but he is a crucial player that every team needs.  Deschamps sets the tone for the rest of his team and can provide a much needed spark of energy when the team is down.  When the team needs some retribution to start a fight Maxime is always at the center.  Seattle hopes he can make the jump to the VHL next season.

ok not bad, but there's a few things that could use some work. first, and most obvious when I first look at the sig, is the render placement. you have his head perfectly centered in the sig, which is something you almost never want to do. mostly you will want to have the head near the top to leave less empty space up there and to include more of the render in the image. next is the lateral placement of the render. I recommend reading up on the visual rule of thirds. your current sig has good render palcement, but this one feels almost stuffed in the corner.
not gonna go too in depth on everything on this one, but the other thing I wanted to touch on was the background. the background on this one is super overexposed, which draws attention away from the focal point. as a general rule, the background of a sig should be darker than the foreground (render) so you don't strain the eyes of whoever is looking at it. that's all I have for now but @boubabi is more knowledgeable than me on this stuff so if I said anything incorrect he can correct me

Also everyone who hasn't done it already they canceled the team point task this past offseason.  We can double one point task this year to replace it just link to the thread in the announcement or mention it in your update thread.

So, I don’t know if this is news to anyone else, but it definitely is for me.
 
Have you guys ever been in photoshop and something fucks up but doesn’t let you undo enough to fix it? I know it has happened to me and it’s massively annoying because you have to delete layers, start over, etc.
 
Anyway, if you’re in photoshop there is a way to get more undos! The default is 20 but you can crank it up to 1000! I don’t know where exactly these menus are on PC but you just need to go into Preferences-> Performance and under “History and Cache” there’s a slider for “History States.” If you crank that up, you can have up to 1000 undos. I currently set mine to 500 since I assume it fills up some hidden folder on my harddrive somewhere but even 500 seems like more than enough.

I have been playing at 175 TPE for a few updates now not knowing that 200 was cap instead. I had 23 TPE added this last update, hope that helps us get a slight edge going forward.
