Hello everyone and welcome the VHLSC Draft Rankings #2! I know we said there wouldn't be one this week but we quickly threw one together to keep the people happy. Also the past two weeks have been very busy in regards to TPE earning by our prospects and we figure we'd highlight those gym gains. Storylines for this draft have been drawn already by some of the youngsters. Hudson Abbott (@Scooter) has been working exceptionally hard and has climbed his way into lottery conversation; all while being a first generational talent. We even have three new prospects to speak about in the coming weeks ahead. Takashi Fujimoto (@HFD) is brand new and has risen the charts so much that he finds himself in first round territory already. Riley Harper (@Daniel) also introduced himself this past week and has already jumped up the board fairly quickly. Verner Reinholdt (@Devise) is new to the charts and his slow rise has put him in a good position going forward. Still no word from Big Gow (@Fire Hakstol), Revan Gotze (@Wilson), Journeyman (@eaglesfan036), Ofer (@xDParK), Ryan Beadle (@GoFlamesGo), Alexander Wolf (@thatdamnwalrus), Arthan Lawrence (@Jeffsan21) and Johan Soderberg (@Foehammer). The ever evolving Victory Hockey League has seen its fair share of complacency over the years in different spots but one area needs a big shake up more than anything. Yes, this VHL Fan article is entered around retention and recruitment of our member base. At times the reason many grow tired of our league is because they can sense it to be "dry" of constant excitement. In the last year or so this league has seen less giveaways, less incentives and overall less things to get your heart rate going. I am not speaking about spats, fights or even disagreements that make a board gain a bit of headway; I am speaking about things that make people check in every few hours to see what exactly is going on and if that said things relates to them in anyway. Often times I hear the topic of recruitment being discussed by several key members, but in reality they aren't actually doing anything outside the site and that right there is the problem. People will take 5 minutes to help recruitment if it helps their player improve, but where are these things? Who has the authority to provide an avenue for said recruitment incentives? A lot of thoughts, not a lot of actions and that is why I myself have somewhat stopped putting in a consistent effort in recruiting. For years I pumped it like it was a 2 lbs weight, but now I just will stay silent. You have heard the last of my recruitment VHL Fan articles for awhile.

Brampton Blades are pushing for a playoff spot and at this very second it looks like they would qualify. They are hot on the trail of the Yukon Rush for the third spot in the standings and we'll see if they can keep up their recent stellar form. Saskatoon seems to be doing great at the 2nd spot and the Ottawa Lynx with their star studded lineup seem to be running away with the VHLM crown this year. The Lynx have yet to lose in a regular contest to date. If any VHLM team wants a chance at the cup they will most likely run through Ottawa or Saskatoon come playoffs. Brampton of course is only looking at their recent play which has seen them go 7-3 over the last ten game stretch. Markus King and his team of ever-improving henchman have been on a tear and are only going to improve as the year goes along. *For Markus King
