  1. I disagree. As Molholt listed above. You are still taking a player from the draft and giving him to a team for free. Not to mention he gets to trade Humbert for a draft pick. So technically Cologne made a switch and got out of it in a better situation because they get a free player and potentially another draft pick. Considering Seattle and Toronto had to forfeit their 2nd round picks this past draft for the exact same reason, I'd expect this to be the same. Not to mention I had to spend a 1st round pick on my player back when I took over Cologne and that was a season way from the draft too. It shouldn't really matter how close to the draft it is, its the principle of taking a player out of that draft.
  2. He makes too much money as well for his role on the team. There was also that instance where Tootoo basically went to the bench, then came right off just to get to Dorsett. Actually it's hard to really know what was going on. From what I saw, Tootoo didn't go to the bench, he was already there. He came out late for his shift and was skating to where he stands on the ice. The fact Dorsett went over to him is puzzling and Burrows could hold his own against Tootoo.
  3. Greg by law you have to change your avatar now haha
  4. Derek Dorsett has one thing in mind every game and that is to go out of his way (even if it puts his team at a disadvantage) to fight or go after the tough guy on the other team. Time for this guy to sit in the press box if you're a Canucks fan.

    QUE/DAV ; VOID

I think this is Part 2
  7. Greg's player doesn't get featured in the Draft Rankings now
  8. Actually STZ shackled me to the bike rack outside the Hartwall for 72 hours until I accepted Knew it! But only because STZ is kind of harsh
  9. For the most part though guys around the league want to be in place. I do love how now they are considered to "already have a tough job". Wasn't the case awhile back.
  10. But a job most of them apply or want to have. No one is in there with a gun to their head. They can accept a position or decline it at any time.
  11. While your at it blue team, the HOF section isn't able to be responded in. So the Induction will be a quiet one haha
  12. Wouldn't them earning TPE to apply to their player be a better example? That's exactly what I mean. GM players counting against the cap sometimes makes them not earn as much TPE to reduce their salary. Yeah but I think working around the GM players salary is part of the skill someone at that position has to be able to do. You take the salary out of it and they earn 1000 TPE and just go out and load up. I mean either way there are pro and cons to each. I just think taking the salary off the books makes it easier to be a GM.

  14. nah
  15. I'm going to make sure you and Steve Moore have the same career conclusion. My 50 something strength and 40 checking makes that a very real possibility Davos Arena Announcer: "Dear Davos faithful, we'd like to welcome former NHL coach Marc Crawford into the building for tonights game! Give him a round of applause. Staring lineups for Helsinki and Davos up next!"
  16. You made it all good with a Steve Harvey .gif!
  17. He is technically a player in the draft. Otherwise they just got a free player for nothing. Come on Shawn!
  18. I didn't.

  20. It seems like only a few season ago Mason Richardson had been drafted into the Victory Hockey League by the Cologne Express. Richardson went 2nd overall behind teammate Thomas O'Malley at the time. Now two seasons away from retirement he sits in Davos ready to gear up for possibly his last season with the Dynamo. Richardson paid his respects to former General Manager Ryan Power who stepped down from his position early today. Richardson spent several seasons in Cologne before being dealt for current free agent Bismarck Koenig who could join him in Davos as soon as this year. "I have one final year on my contract and I'm going to put myself in the best position to win another cup. That could be in Davos with my current squad or in the future could be somewhere else. Our team turnover changes every year so we have a new crop of young players in our system and on our roster. I'm just prepared to play hard in both my second and last seasons in this league before I fade off into the sunset. Goal is always to win a cup, so playing hard will obviously be the staple", said Richardson after day one of training camp.
