So he picked up the option on Dickey or the new President did? Because thats shady if AA picked up.
It looks as tho Shapiro is running the team. Apparently he blasted everyone in the first meeting for trading so many prospects this year.
1. I thought he took over next Monday?
2. Shapino doesn't really have a good track record himself when it comes to trading players/prospects. Not sure if that is a smart move.
1.He does, but much like the PM the incoming one makes all the decisions, Beeston doesn't do anything
2.Shapiro has a good track record of trading veterans for decent prospects, but never amounted to much in his seven years as GM outside two playoff apperances
So sound like AA didn't like his little speech? In the grand scheme of things the only prospect that was traded away that can really be regretted is Noah Syndergaard.
AA and Shapiro apparently didn't see eye to eye on the direction of the team and just now AA was announced Executive of the Year, so he knew he might as well take off now when his ceiling is what it's at. Can't blame him
Yeah that's a smart move. Well should be an interesting off-season in the 6.
