Holy smokes it's been ages. Happy to see familiar faces like yourself still kicking it around these parts of town, hope you've been well! Isn't it suitable that my first review is for an OG member like yourself.
 
Love the feeling the signature gives me. The effects that you chose, and it's simplicity gives me a calm before the storm aura / feeling. I'm already picturing Vancouver Wolves vs Moscow Menace, leading game 6 by the score 7-6, 3 minutes left on the clock, lining up for the faceoff and this picture is taken. The photo selection and main logo swap are flawless, don't think it could have been better. Also, I don't know if it was the original photo, or you did an additional blur, but the difference in sharpness really makes the players pop. my only recommendation is to swap the pants logo or even better simply remove it as for some reason it feels like the pants logo pulls my eyes downwards and away from the main focal points.

Well everyone Calen McKay has arrived down in Mexico City to play in the VHLM and the one thing he lacks is a cup, but he does have two BBQ grills which is perfect to invite his new teammates over for a good ol fashioned BBQ. Truth is I just wanted to use that title for this VHL Article and that's why I wrote it. That being said if someone does show up at this VHL BBQ please bring some red solo cups as we have tons of drinks but people are getting bottle service; literally they are being serviced directly from the bottle. McKay doesn't get paid a lot to play in the minors so he didn't have leftover money to spend on cups or even bowls to drink from. I'm sure someone on this forum or league has access to a Costco gold card or even could stop by a Walgreens on their way to the residence. McCay is hoping one day he can drink from a real VHL related cup but again, at this rate he won't be hydrated enough to get to that stage. By the way, does anyone know where to find blow up dolls shipped like Phil Kessel? One of the girls here (Amanda or something) has a fixing for some Kessel and I told her she could go visit him if she just went through the border to Arizona. What the hell has this VHL Fan Article turned into by the way?

Review: 12 years too long to be honest, you're graphics are as good as they always were; which is really good. Personally feel the blending and patterns that are blurred in the back are ungodly. Great work! I love the render choice as its an angle we don't traditionally see in signatures from what I've seen.  Text work reminds me of a thriller movie trailer trying to sell me on the fact it's coming to theatres May 13th or something. Great vibe and the  definition in Ehlers face without it being over saturated/grainy is perfect. Overall, would love for you to at least post a graphic once ever year or even 2 years, instead of every 12 years.

I was recently asked why I came back to the VHL. It didn't sound like a question laced with negative tones but more so a question that legit was wondering what got me back. Well first off, because I will always be a Hockey fan so it's the sport that primarily got me back. Second off, I've been in this league since day one and though life can throw curveballs at you and you have to take those pitches head on, some things for enjoyment never really leave. For example writing stories and news articles about a fictitious hockey player isn't really that boring, nor is it nerdy. It's no different than authors writing stories about vampires and teen conspiracy theories about werewolves. I simply gave a lot to this league and the fact it's still around is an ode too many members for keeping it going through some of the dark years and battles. Plus making a Be-A-Pro in NHL 2022 can sometimes respire that energy you need to pour into making a VHL player. I genuinely enjoy this place and the people who are in it. But also looking back and seeing number retirements and HOF members who have come back brings me hope that its something passed on for generations. At this stage someone here has to have a kid that's 15 years old on the site? Do we have a second generation member yet?

Oldest son is 7 at the moment, so no second generation member there yet. He has no idea what this is and I rather keep it like that for a while   They're already hijacking the ps4 and tv so lets keep the pc mine for a while.
