  1. Hello, everyone! With permission from @diamond_ace I have written this hiring article up for anyone who is interested. I am hiring an assistant general manager for the Saskatoon Wild... but there is a catch. The person who is hired will be my replacement when I take over the VHL's Toronto Legion starting in S71 - pending VHL Commish approval, of course. That being said - because this is a replacement position (on the grounds I do become the Legion's GM) - your hiring needs to be approved by the VHLM Commissioner team as my replacement. In a way this is an open 'Who's the next SSK GM if Peace is promoted' thread, but it's unique because I get to choose who I want to hire well. Officially I think you'll be named interim GM when (or even if) I become the Legion's GM, and as an interim GM the VHLM Commish team will be monitoring your activity and inclusion as a GM. The VHLM GM and AGM roles are all about member retention. Help when you can, encourage activity and promote a healthy environment. There are some requirements for this position. You'll need a PC capable of running the STHS Client v3, so anything with Windows 7, 8 or 10 is acceptable. I can't speak for Apple products, but I think they need help to run the client, you'd have to test for yourself. Additionally you'll need Discord so you can communicate easier with other VHLM GMs; lastly, and this one is important too, you'll need some 'history' (really just proof) of activity on the forum. It doesn't have to be direct, but keeping a player up to date with updates and occasionally commenting on threads is good enough. Don't worry about any AGM experience or anything like that, this is why you'll be hired on as an AGM seasons in advance. As Saskatoon's AGM and potential replacement you'll be learning about STHS, waivers, our rules (they are separate from the VHL's rulebook), drafting and... well everything related to GM'ing a VHL team. You won't be paid this season, but as your responsibilities increase we'll split the GM pay until you take over the club. Good luck, applicants! - Peace

  9. This was an interview done during S65’s offseason really, and you were very trash talking everyone when S66 started and during it so shush it.
  10. VHLM GMs aren’t allowed to include future considerations / conditions to picks per the rules that govern us.
  11. Ah, so trading Glade to VAN was to get Glade some hardware after all. Lol
  12. SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN -- Saskatoon Wild GM Rylan Peace released a short video today some would call 'blog style' after the Ottawa Lynx completed their sweep of the Minnesota Storm at the conclusion of game four. The Wild GM congratulated the relatively new Lynx GM on a job well done and their first championship in the VHLM. Peace also briefly applauded the Storm's efforts throughout the playoffs, especially defeating a powerful Philadelphia team, but the majority of his press release was addressed to John Perdue and Anthony Amberback. Amberback played a critical role to Ottawa's post-season success with twenty six points. The strong defender is second in team scoring, landing just under Underyew - who's immensely impressive 34 points likely wins him the playoff MVP award - while achieving the highest points per twenty minutes among any defender in the playoffs. Of course Ottawa's offensive nature made it possible for such a strong performance. Perdue, unfortunately, was benched for the entirety of the playoffs as the rules that govern VHLM GMs dictate inactive members are played below active and engaged members and their players. He averaged just over three minutes a game during the regular season, where the left winger managed to pot eleven points in seventy one games before sitting the final regular season game. Perdue was once a reliable scorer for Saskatoon, so his disappearance into inactivity is truly disappointing. The Lynx defeated the Aces in the first round in five games, moved on to defeat Halifax in six before sweeping Minnesota in four. Minnesota on the other hand swept aside the Bulls in four, and impressively dispatched the Reapers in five before being unfortunately swept under the rug by the Lynx. It was a good and surprising playoffs this go around.
  13. Many seasons ago and you're still invested in Saskatoon. I love it.
  14. Lies. I left the Discord because it’s a (or was) a cesspool of toxicity. Doesn’t mean I left the website altogether. I don’t mind if my player makes it or not, I won’t be around to watch the live stream anyway - unless you stream a ton 10 PM MST - so I’m not truly engaged.
  15. The storm rage on? Well... the cold never bothered me anyway. >.>
  16. TORONTO, ONTARIO -- A series between Toronto and Vancouver should have lead to the automatic assumption it would have an offensive nature, given that these two teams lead the VHL in goals throughout the season, but anticipating a defensive showdown wasn't out of the realm of possibility either. The Toronto Legion maintained the gap from Vancouver and finished with thirty four additional goals, but Vancouver's two-hundred and thirty markers was nearly twenty five more than any other team. To assume it would be an offensive showdown between two similarly built clubs would have been correct, but it came as a surprise to Toronto's Rylan Peace after his club lost the first game 5-4 to Vancouver. Understanding the nature of the series would be offensively, Toronto adjusted for game two and came out ahead 8-5 to tie the series. Toronto's offensive depth was on full display in game two, but it still took Toronto scoring at least six goals for the victory. And for the second game in a row Vancouver had scored five against Toronto. "This series certainly doesn't favor the 'tenders," Peace stated. "I'm stunned it's been so offensive. I figured - honestly - that both clubs would try to lock up each others scoring lines but I've been wrong so far." Toronto lead game one 4-1 at the end of the first period, but Vancouver's defense cut them off from goals cold turkey for the next forty minutes as they clawed back into the game. Toronto watched in horror as the game went from 4-1 TOR to 5-4 VAN to end regulation and couldn't manage to force overtime despite generally outplaying Vancouver throughout sixty minutes. Toronto didn't have that problem in game two. "I suppose it's worrisome, sure." Peace admitted. "I don't think it's viable to keep producing offense like that though, eventually the series will 'come back to Earth' in a sense." Peace has two goals and two assists in two games against Vancouver. Game three and four will be in Vancouver.
  17. I can be a pretend VHL AGM for you, Devise, but I can't officially take the role of Toronto's AGM without stepping down from my position with Saskatoon. @Devise It's not that I wouldn't, but I can't have a management job in the VHLM and the VHL officially according to the policies that govern me as a GM for a VHLM team. I'd still like to take over Toronto when the time is right, but I'd also like to serve as Saskatoon's general manager until the time does come where I can step up into the VHL. I appreciate you having enough faith in my to announce it publicly though, means more than you can imagine lately.
  18. The majority of the time... any public vote turns into a popularity pissing contest.
  19. Good write up, but as for my contract that’ll be bumped up to league minimum during the off season.
