What aspect of our team’s play has impressed you the most so far this season? We are winning more. No matter what, this young team has been able to close out more games! 5. Which underachiever is more likely to salvage their season: Los Angeles or Davos? I'll always say LA here because I like their branding a lot! 6. Which VHL team has impressed you the most this season and why? Us! I knew we would be better but we started off as one of the better teams and the future is bright! 10. Which team from the most recent expansion will be the first to win a cup? (you know the answer ) WAAAAAARRRRRSSSSSAAWWWWWWWW!
  2. 1. Warsaw has started hot, what do we need to do to keep this play up? Just gotta keep playing our game and have confidence! 2. Krishna has been one of the best goalies to start the season, how important is it for him to continue the great play? Very! He is a big part of our current team and future! 3. Who is the player in the locker room that always keeps you laughing? I am probably not around too much to have a good laugh unfortunately but we have a great group! 4. The team often goes out for dinner after a win, what do you order as a dish for everyone to share at the table? Nachos of course! Who doesn't love nachos? 5. Have you been happy with your play to start this year \? Yes! A plus 9 and 10 points in 14 games with 6 goals is awesome! 6. We have a lot of rookies on the team, who has impressed you most thus far? I feel like we are mostly 2nd year players but Muffbeav has been solid so far as a rookie!
  3. 1. S75 starts this week! How pumped are you for the season? Very excited! Team should be much improved! 2. Are there any specific goals for yourself that you have this year? I would love to get 50 points so that is my goal! 3. There have been a few more trade talks for Warsaw, would you rather keep future assets or try and improve right now? I don't think this team will contend yet but we have the pieces, getting a good similar timeline piece would be nice. 4. Was there anything during the off-season that surprised you in the league? Not that I know of. I have been off doing my thing! 5. Do you feel the off-season went by quick or slow? What could be different to make it better for you? Off-season is always slow unfortunately or at least feels slow! 6. Does this roster have what it takes to sneak into the playoffs this year or are we a couple more away? Good question! My guess would be no way but if things come together and the builds are decent enough, anything could happen!
  4. Lexi Glass Vows for a Much Better Season 75 It was a rough season for the Warsaw Predators last year but it was mostly expected as the team relied on a heavy influx of talent from the Season 74 draft and draft classes just a few years removed. The team was one of the youngest in the league but also a very active young team that could grow from within into a potential powerhouse. One of those Season 74 draftees that the team has been hoping to pan out was the 2nd round pick, Estonian Right Winger, Lexi Glass. The Estonian Princess had been in the news quite a bit heading into the draft with the desire to be a cup winner and one of the league's top scorers and it potentially scared off some teams from using an earlier pick on her with her likely listening to any offers to make her goals happen. We caught up with Glass to ask her about last season and her future, here is what she had to say: "It was a difficult adjustment going from VHLM to VHL play for sure. I feel like now that I know the routine a little better, I can take that and use it to get better. Our team won the World Juniors and I hope I contributed enough to Team Europe's success there. Season 75 will be much better for me because I am experienced a bit more now in this league. I continue to work on my game to keep me in top shape. I think my defense and overall puck handling ability will grow a lot and I also want to get stronger. For people speculating about my future, it is just crazy. I have been here just one year and am happy playing for the Predators, let's talk about how this team is going to improve, thanks."
  5. 1. We were able to play very well in the Lottery Tournament, winning the whole thing. What can we do to carry that momentum into the new season? We are a better team than people think. Can't sleep on us! 2. Bigger surprise champion: Vancouver in the VHL or Miami in the VHLM? Miami because Ottawa is clearly the best team 3. Of all the finals series to go down over the past few weeks, real life or sim league, which was your favorite and why? The End of PBE was good because it meant the losing season was ending and a new season breeds hope! 4. We were able to bring in Jeffrenomitsu The Third from Riga yesterday to bolster our ranks. Got anything to say to the new guy? Welcome! Glad to have you on the team! 5. If any current NHL team were to join the VHL as the next North American Conference expansion team, which team would you want to see and why? Boston Bruins because they are my favorite team! 7. What is the longest distance you ever ran without stopping? I ran a half-marathon in real life so like 13 miles!
  6. 4 more years

YIKES he is now losing the two states that make it 1 term.

  7. 1. What are you player's plans during this off-season? Keep grinding trying to be good at hockey! 2. Halloween was just a few days ago, did your player dress up and go trick-or-treating? Did they eat any candy? Heck yeah! As a sexy elf! And yes, of course, got to love the candy at this time! 3. After a long, hard fought season, a player can often forget about mental health. What are you (or your player) doing to maintain sanity? Being able to have alone, relaxing time is key! 4. If your player needed to take on a part-time job during the off-season, what would it be? Lexi is a part time model in the off-seasons 5. Are there any changes you'd like to see happen for S75? None come to mind other than something favoring Warsaw to win next season! 6. As professional hockey players, we know that a well-balanced diet is important. One of the most important pieces of that diet is protein. What's your favorite cut of steak, and how do you like it done (raw --- well-done, in between)? New York Strip, Medium, Yum!
  8. 1. Already feels like we haven't played hockey in forever, what are you doing to satisfy your craving for more hockey? Watching game tapes and everything to try and improve mental ability on the ice. 2. Are you watching this year's VHL playoffs? If so, who are you cheering for? I am not. I am preparing to have our team be in this position. 3. We're planning a team paintball tournament, you are a captain, who is your first pick for your team? Give me Krishna. He can protect me and stop the paintballs! 4. Now that you can relax on training a bit for off-season, what are your go to cheat foods? Potato Chips yummmmm! So good! 5. We'll soon have a ton of players join us from the draft, what are your ideas for some hazing? They can carry all my bags and everything. Will be nice for a change! 6. How did you do with VHFL this year? Are you going to have to study harder for next season? I did not do very well but I don't believe I was last so that is good! Probably not, I will wing it!
  9. 1. It has gotten a lot better. It was rough early on but I am happy with the ending. 2. Always. Never back down. 3. I only eat meat and cheese on my Tacos. I am boring like that but the simpleness is so good. 4. I have not but I want to try it out. I am usually a Madden/2K person though. 5. Yeah I think that would be really fun when time allows! 6. I would love 20+ goals and I think that would be easily reachable in year 2!
  10. 1. Since the trade last week that brought in Latrell Mitchell and Willie Dredge the Preds have gone 6-8-1. Do you feel the team has improved with that trade? Yes, I feel like we are doing really well lately. The team acquired some great fits and is now coming together well. 2. Speaking of trades, today is trade deadline! Do you feel that Warsaw will be involved in the market or keep quiet and why? (If it is passed the deadline why or why not were they active?) No reason to be super active right now with such a good young base in the team. Expected quiet. 4. With rosters being set after today going into the playoffs, who do you think will win the cup? I will go with another I have seen just above and say that Moscow will win it all for Mother Russia. 5. How many more seasons before you think Warsaw is contending for a playoff spot and maybe being the team to add pieces at trade deadline? It should be interesting. I will be optimistic and say we could compete for a spot for next season and then take off from there. Hopefully, because I want to win! 6. Warsaw has two players leading the rookie scoring race, Lamb with 60 and Grachev with 54. Do you think these two finish top in the league and if you had to choose between the two, who wins top rookie of the year? Give me Lamb right now just because of the points lead. If they tie in points, give me a coin! 7. With off-season just 20 games away, what are your plans for off-season? Keep working at my game! Need to get better and improve on this somewhat underwhelming season!
  11. 1. Coming off the biggest trade in team history, how do you think this team will gel with the addition of Latrell Mitchell and WIllie Dredge? So far so good! The guys have been great and the future is bright with them in the lineup! 2. If we were to shore up a position through another deal leading up to the trade deadline, which position would it be and why? I'm always for adding new defensemen so I'll go that route! 3. Now that we've passed mid-season, what has been your main focus to help us convert some of these close losses into points in the standings? I really am just trying to round out my build to play better. So far it has been pretty bad. 4. Former Predator Arthur Dayne has scored 3 goals in his last 2 games for the Calgary Wranglers, and Alex Bridges chipped in 9 hits for them against Helsinki as well. Are you surprised to see your former teammates have success elsewhere? Not at all! These guys are great players and deserve to get the recognition! 5. What would you name our team mascot? Gabe the Predator. I don't know why, just the first that popped up! 6. Although our first round pick will be tied up in Muffbeav, we will still have a high second-round pick on our hands. What position do you expect us to target with that? If I had to guess, either defense or center. I don't know though!
  12. 1. Now that we’ve gotten a good amount of games under our belt, how do you feel you’re settling in with the team (or your VHLM team)? It's still a big work in progress but the team has been coming together we'll! 2. 8 of our 17 regulation losses have been by 1 goal. Where can we improve to start turning those close losses into wins? This is a hard one. I think it just comes with growing the youth and team chemistry! 3. How has the adjustment to the VHL been for your player? Rough rough rough! Lexi Glass has not played up to her full potential so far! 4. Which team has surprised you the most this season and why? I don't know many other teams but I will say us because we are so young and doing decentish 7. How’d you feel about the Stanley Cup Finals? I expected Tampa to win so it's okay. At least my Bruins lost to the cup winners 6. We have the best power play% in the league, but the 4th worst penalty kill%. How would you rate our performance on special teams this season so far? We are a great scoring team so I am not surprised by this! Team will get better as we grow! Quote Report
  13. 1. With a few games under your belt, how do you think you player is doing? Not well so far but hoping for a big turnaround going forward with some extra training! 2. What some places you think you need to improve in. Definitely skating and puck handling. Need to be able to hold on to the puck and get good shot opportunities. 3. Unfortunately we haven't had much luck on the ice, what do you think we need to do to get out of our slump? We will probably be like this all season, we just gotta keep growing! 5. EU teams are looking like powerhouses this season. Is this the year they surpass the NA conference in terms of strength? Very possible! Though I can't say it would be sustainable! 7. Who do you think will be our standout player this season? I am going with Krishna. He has a really rough job with a bunch of rooks in front of him but can put together a solid season by just going out there and being the best! 8. Who will win the Stanley Cup in the NHL? Dallas or Tampa Bay? Unfortunately, I believe Tampa Bay will. At least my Bruins will lose to the Stanley Cup champs.
  14. So far this season, the Warsaw Predators are one of the struggling teams in the VHL with just 12 points in their 17 games. Overall, the team is struggling a lot to get any sort of footing going in the league this season and for a team filled with a lot of young players, it is understandable. One of those young players that has a big role on Warsaw is Estonian Princess, Lexi Glass who through 17 games, has just 7 points on the season with 3 goals and 4 assists. She currently has a -14 while on the ice and has taken 41 shots in total, good for just about 2.5 per game but the goals have just not been going in for her so far but she looks to keep training and change that moving forward. Glass has been decent at the defensive end so far at least in the hits department as she has 24 in the 17 games which is a good amount for a player who is not known for her physicality while on the ice. Look for Glass to continue to grow her overall ability defensively as well as work on her skating and puck handling abilities to continue to get better as she grows as a player. Glass is known as a sniper overall but 3 goals in 17 games is not really a sniper's dream so there is a lot of work left. She has some of the most natural goal scoring ability and really needs to put it together at the professional level to make a difference in the VHL.

  17. 1. With the draft finished, who do you think had the best draft and why? I think the answer is clearly Warsaw, we got a ton of talent and some steals in there as well! 2. How do you think our draft went? See above. Anytime you are able to get 1OA and get the overall talent that Warsaw got, it is a good draft! 3. Muff the madman actually did it and gave everyone huge bonuses in their contract. What do you spend your first paycheck on? I am going to put that money straight into the bank! Gotta save up that precious VHL money! 5. What are your expectations for next season as a team? I think in general it will be a very fun season. Low expectations and youth getting ice time, going to at least be fun! 6. What are you hoping to accomplish next season as an individual player? I would love to score at least 20 goals, If I can average 20 goals at least per season in my career I will be happy! 9. What have you been doing this offseason? Not much just continuing to get my name out there and train. The sky is the limit and gotta stay ahead of the press!

  19. Glass Ready to be Drafted The day has finally arrived! September 10th, 2020 is here and that means the Season 74 VHL Draft is about to take place and among the hopefuls looking to be drafted, sits a super talented right winger in Estonian, Lexi Glass. There have been a lot of different speculations about where Glass will go in this year's draft and it does not make it easier since she has come out and said that she does not know if she would be a one team player. The talented winger has expressed that she would always want to hear out teams in free agency, including her own to really be able to fit in and help an organization win multiple cups. She understands that it could hurt her draft stock but has never wanted to be anything but honest to any GMs that are willing to take a chance on her. She wants to be taken based on her talent, ability, and overall locker room presence and wants to help an organization win but also hold whatever organization she joins accountable so that they know a winning plan and can put together a team around her that is capable of being a cup winning franchise. When asked about desired locations, Lexi has always said that she would be open to play for any franchise including staying somewhere in Canada where she has currently spent her better part of one plus seasons having spent time in both Mississauga and Ottawa, making the playoffs both times. Glass appreciates the Canadian fans being so overwhelmingly accepting and loves her opportunity to play in front of the fans even in a place like Mississauga where she only played a handful of games for the Hounds, though she did pick up her first ever professional goal in a playoff games with the Hounds in Season 72. Teams such as Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary could give Glass the opportunity to stay in Canada but she says that location is not the first thing on her mind. "We have a team in Riga which is right next to my native Estonia, which would be cool because my old friends and my family could come watch me play but playing in the VHL means so much more even though it would be a great honor. Playing in Canada still in my career would be cool too because I have only known Canada so far in my young VHLM career but it is not the only place I would play. I could expand my other talents in a big place like New York or Los Angeles but again, is not at the forefront of my mind. From Riga, to Canada, to America, to somewhere else, I just want to play hockey!" Glass was not given a super great opportunity to show off all her goal scoring skills to this point in her VHLM career, suffering from a lack of overall shot numbers, but hopes to change that at the next level. "I know my overall abilities and I can be a lead goal scorer for a team. I just need that chance. I want to help a team be dominant and I would love that chance to do just that!" Will teams shy away from her potential free agency plans or will they take a chance to show a clear direction as a cup contender? Find out tonight in the Season 74 VHL Draft!
