  1. I 100% missed your hiring @Subject056 announcement above. I knew AJ got it but assumed it was only him.. I didn’t purposely mean to congratulate AJ but not you!! Best of luck to you in the role! I believe adding “newer” members to these roles could have a positive affect on recruitment and retention.
  2. Congrats, @AJW! Excellent hire. You work pretty hard for the league. Recruitment is huge. I’d love to see what your team can do now! Good luck !!

One game away from it all but we let it slip. I think we made a lot of great changes this off-season. We juggled a lot of cap around, replaced two significant retirements, picked up a big FA and are looking good as we inch closer to the regular season. Thank you, Seattle Bears members and those within the family, for your time, efforts and loyalty to Seattle and the VHL. I appreciate you. GO BEARS GO!

  10. Bana Blabs Down Under #76 Another Blab brought to you by Talk-to-Text, an easier way to do this. Thanks, Siri. Despite you many, often simple, errors. Hello for the second time in a few short seconds. The excitement was killing me as I waited for midnight back home to finally strike the new week here. June 12, this is the magical day. I’ve been waiting for it. Or we could go. I thought it was gonna take a long time because of my excitement. It actually went by pretty quick and I’m rather fortunate for that. The excitement was so strong for me to re-create my new player that I pre-wrote my media and articles for this week a short amount of time before. I guess that’s the one perk of Australia, being a little bit ahead when it comes to things VHL. You kinda get to work on things ahead of time. It’s honestly like cheating away lol you kind of get eight days. Lots has been happening in the VA chill the last few days, so that’s really exciting. For a little while their things are moving slowly as a lot of general managers were waiting to see what happened with salaries, free agency, and even some of the draft. This is going to be the last big blab of this player's career, so that is very exciting. This player was okay! Overall no complaints. Just wasn’t as super invested and they never quite panned out to their potential in my opinion but like I said, lots to blab about! Let’s BLAB. The World Cup is simulating out right now and eastern Europe was looking really good. I think we won nine out of 10 games in the round robin. My player was third on the team so things were going OK. I really wanted to build a little bit of hype for this World Cup. A lot of people, like me, really enjoy these tournaments. I love competing in the league setting similar to the National Hockey League, but I also like going for gold medals. The start of this off-season was also a little slow with very few trades, so I think building the height for the World Cup would’ve made things a little more fun. Eastern Europe ended up losing to Western Europe. Western Europe finds a way to slash at eastern Europe with a poisonous digger and send Kovalchuk into retirement, limping and crying. I’m really happy with how Seattle turned out this off-season. Losing Booberry is an incredibly huge loss. How do you replace that? He was literally the highest rated goalie end player in the league and league history. The goalie we did how was young and did have promising potential, however, they were definitely struggling and the signs just didn’t show success now, or in the near future for Seattle. So they went out and got a goalie. They also solved their defense problems when nano retired. They added in some forwards when lamb left. They also brought. They also brought in Weaver from free agency from Riga. We did all this while also still holding onto our S90/91 1sts which was big for me. The 91 was 7/10 important but I didn’t want to move the 90’s at all. VERY EXCITING TIMES TO BE SEATTLE. I’m pretty excited to recreate which is promising. This last player was too mediocre. It felt stale. I didn’t put 0% into them at times either I don’t think. That part is okay but I knew a restart was needed to get that flame alive. I’m hoping this players career is more fun. I’d love a dominant layer for once, lol. That would be nice.
  11. Bana Blabs Down Under #75 S88 VHL Index S88 VHL Playoffs Another Blab brought to you by Talk-to-Text, an easier way to do this. Thanks, Siri. Despite you many, often simple, errors. hello everyone. What’s going on in your life right now? How are things going? If you want, let me know in the comments, woo! For me, things are going pretty good. We recently went out for brunch with my partner’s cousin, who lives in Australia. It was the first time we met each other, and it was a unique and fun experience. We met at 11 for coffee and some later breakfast. When we were walking away and done with a little brunch cousin date, I was very surprised to hear. My girlfriend told me that it was two hours while we were there. Felt like less, which I guess is a good thing ha ha. Flip out over to the VHL, free agency has gotten underway and is starting to get closer to the end. The draft also happened today and it went pretty smoothly honestly. The GM’s did really good and those who were helping run it did a very good job as well. The draft was at 7 AM my time so that is always fun to. Lol now? Let’s blab. Mikhail Kovalchuk is going to be playing his final season. I am retiring my player after writing my articles and all of that. Starting over and I’m honestly pretty excited to do it. The hybrid build system or whatever came in middle through my players career. I’m excited to build from the start with the new system we have. At the start of April my partner was very skeptical about watching Game of Thrones. They said they tried long ago in the past and just couldn’t get into it. I told him to give it a fair shot and I bet they would like it even though it’s not that kind of thing. Sure enough they were hooked and we ended up watching the entire thing I think in a month and a half and that’s including a eight day Bali trip there as well. No, we’re watching House of the Dragon and both of the shows I guess kinda lit a fire to name my next player. Seattle so far has made a trade this off-season. That’s pretty crazy! We did a lot of moving and a huge chunk of the roster is brand new to the organization. We managed to move a lot of Capparelli this off-season, and do a lot of juggling. We also got rid of a goalie that was younger, but struggling with activity, and also found the right way to replace our elite goalie that just retired. Then we restructured our defense of Cours, and even replaced some of our forwards and changed things around there. THE END
