  1. If we're talking Erik Karlsson.. I'd imagine you'll follow suit and leave to hey?
  2. OSL offers: 1M We've talked in PM's. COME and help us bring the STORM!
  3. Looks good.
  4. Welcome, man. @Hunter
  5. Welcome, Mikey.
  6. His life story is likely the first you've heard of in the VHL. You hear the regular stories of them growing up in their respective places of birth, growing up with their families, who either struggle or don't, and typically, they play hockey since young and it's a given that they're going to continue on this path. But, this isn't it for Maxim Kovalchuk. Well, sort of. We start of in Sochi, Russia, where he was born. It one of Russia's largest resort cities and was home to the Winter Olympic games in 2014. Despite not partaking in this event, Kovalchuk wish he could and evidently, possesses the ability to take place in such event. Nevertheless, here we are. Maxim grew up a normal life. Well, as normal as they could become. His father was a drug user and drug dealer in Sochi and was known under the name as "Sergei the Strange". He was in the Russian Russu" group and was heavily known by police federally and internationally. Despite this, his mother, who was also a paramedic, divorced him while Maxim was aged 5 and became single for some time. During which, and likely different to 99% of things you read on here, his mother found a partner of the opposite sex. Yes, the VHL supports everything and while some shit is super weird, this is not. Love is love. Anastasia Kovalchuk met Maria Bavlechnko and wed, making Kovalchuk one of this first players to enter the VHLM with obvious and announced singular marriages couples. Good for him. At the age of 5, he entered school. A little earlier than most, but his mother.. mothers.. believed that his ability and intelligence was above the rest. Was this because of feminism? Who knows? but later in his life, he'd likely learn to thank them. Throughout his school years,he learned that being smart was a good thing. He gained his grades, paid attention in class and was always respectful to anyone that wished to gauge his attention. Despite being smart ins school and getting good grades, he also managed to get the bitches and was extremely involved in school. He never missed a party, whether it was at the dock - a meeting spot that the kids partied at, or banging the hottest bitches in class, school or schools away - Kovalchuk was a fucking legend. You can imagine this carried on for quite sometime, and if you did, that's correct. His lifestyle continued and progressed much into college. As a back up plan, he took political and law studies. If he decided to shit the fucking bed on his hockey career, he'd prefer to have something to back him up on. Thank fucking christ he did. During college, he bagged every single hot bitch that walked his way. He snorted molly, cocaine and smoked a fuck ton of weed. He danced, he partied and he said fuck you to the government. I'm here to learn, but I'm also here to have a fucking good time. What a greta fucking mentality to have. Hey? I'm trying to get through this bio, fuck off. He managed to keep his good grades, and the hot bitches. He went through college, playing on the top hockey team, getting the top grades and banging the shit out of the top girl in school (who made little freshman's nerds pants wet when they walked down the same hall-way). While in school, eventually he found himself struggling with substance abuse. It started off, like most young little shits in school, dibbling and dabbing in this, trying out that and hanging out with your pals at some house, listening to trance music, slugging the brews and watching some fucked up shit to get a good trip going. But for him, it started to escalate. The partying started to become too much, not that he was doing it on his own and a full blown addict, but the partying started to consume him. It did not make him fuck up with hockey, but it started to increase and become more frequent (his partying). He continued down this path for a few months before some of his buddies came together, all knowing they were on the same boat as him (and the same hockey team) and decided it was time to slow the shit down or things could get negative. One night, while sitting around a fire and passing around a joint, they decided it was time to put the hard shit away and start focusing on other things - like a career in whatever, and for Kovy, hockey. Just to add in, Vyacheslav Smirnov was one of the buddies sitting around the fire with Kovalchuk that night and both are fellow Russians entering the VHL at the same time. (in case you missed the Smirnov bio, they go way back). That night, Marijuana would be the only thing these straight up G's would touch for the rest of their days. Sort of a proud mom moment right there, hey? School finally ended for the summer and Kovalchuk ended up getting called to go back to Russia to play in a summer league know as the Russian Summer Hockey League. Real original name, right? Yep. During the regular season, he fucking lit up the league and left fire everywhere he went. Through the 32 game season, he got 18 goals, 23 assists for 41 points as a blue liner on the back end for a team that was otherwise fairly mediocre. They finished the season 20-11-1 and made it one game away from winning the final where they got their assholes handed to them in a heavy defeat (5 to 2). After the year finished off, his phone rang from the VHLM commissioner Beavy saying they wanted him in the league - that a player like him is special and it's time for his career to grow and blossom. The next day, he boarded a plane and was off to North America for a meeting with the commissioner in Ottawa (why they were there, who knows). The plane landed, he got off, they hand the meeting and he signed his first real big deal with the Oslo Storm for 1M shortly after. Now, he eats Lobster 3 times a week with the most expensive champagne to gargle after brushing his teeth. 1058 +10 Kovalchuk
  7. lol Federov was my first to hit 8 too... sad days
  8. Not bad, man. Good to see the effort and enthusiasm. You look good thus far
  9. Looks like we may have a bruiser on our hands. Welcome to the league @MrYams
  10. Welcome to the league, man.
  11. I also wouldn't put it into Leadership and would more so put it into anything else (other than Discipline) @CahillNFLD
  12. Welcome to the league, pops.
  13. So tag him, not quote me. Either way, @BBNAT welcome to the team
  14. @Laflamme let people go. Youre refusing to let me let people go, which LaFlamme and I discuss together anyway, so not my issue. So don't say "again" and whine and give me shit. I cant let people go. I would If I could. However, the league should not prevent players from going where they want to go. Especially amazing, hardworking members like @BBNAT. 1st GEN STUD?!! Im not an assistant GM. I'm a Co-GM. LaFlamme and I discuss all moves - transactions etc. It's a joint team.
  15. Oslo steals another @Laflamme
  16. No. Good for Ahma, not hard feeling for that move. Dick move? sure. But enjoy the site and your time here. Only being a cunt and retiring Valmont. ? Kovalchuk will play somewhere else (fix the fucking smiley shit).
  17. Player name: Maxim Kovalchuk Position: Defense Number: 44 Height: 6'2" Weight: 208 Birthplace: Sochi, Russia Kovalchuk? Does the name ring a bell? Ilya Kovalchuk? Ah, not for that reason - so the name likely rings a bell but not for the right reasons. While there hasn't been proven to be any relationship between the two, you could say the two are based off their amazing and incredible, elite talents on the ice surface. For Maxim Kovalchuk though, he's a man that holds down the blue line and manages to stay happy in one league. So you don't have to expect this guy to run away to another league because he's a money hungry twat whose loyal to his own country. Maxim is here to stay and he's here to dominate. For the Banackock agency, they did things pretty decent with Aleksei Federov on the blue line, but now with a little experience under their belt developing d-men in the VHL, we're expecting Kovalchuk to fully come out swinging. Where he lands is a mystery, but the young d-man already made it clear in a one post to Toronto GM that he has zero interest in going to Davos and has 100% intentions on sitting out if they feel the need to take him. Pretty ballsy for a new guy hey? We like it. For his skills, he very oddly doesn't follow suit of a d-men. You expect them to be pretty good defensively, but this is something he lacks. He's prided himself on being a shoot first, heavy offensive guy on the back end and that isn't about to change anytime soon. While his skills will slowly increase and he's likely to be developed into a two-way kind of guy, for the VHLM, we're expecting him to play strongly offensively and tally up those points. but for that, we'll need to drop him under the microscope a little better. Let's take a look, shall we? STENGTHS Scoring and shooting - It shouldn't surprise you as it's something he's heavily been focused on all throughout his career. The man has an amazing shot and this accounts for a lot of his goals. Now, if only he could clue in and start focusing on other shit, he could actually become a real offensive threat. Skating? Puck handling? That sort of shit. Loyalty - Despite shitting on Davos because he doesn't give a shit about their GM and would rather play for someone with higher nobility, he's a very loyal guy and if you land him and know what the fuck you're doing, there's a good chance he sticks with you for quite some time. Though, this can change, so be weary GM's. Not sure If he wants to fuck around and play on lots of teams and chase the cup or what yet. I'd stay the fuck away if there's better options IMO, but it isn't called a gamble for no reason. Eventually, PH - It isn't nothing yet, but he's focusing on other shit. Scoring was big, then skating and then, PH. Lazy right? Can't spell the word. How bout the word count? hehe. PH is huge for anyone that wants to be offensive and while I'm in the VHLM, fuck everything else. I want to win 0 of course I want to. LaFlamme and I are going to run this shit and hopefully crash Smarch's dreams, but it will all start with Kovy's offensive dreams. Weakness Defense - For a d-man, we expect a lot more than 45 or whatever the fuck he's at. Like, is he Ovechkin in his early days but a d-man sitting on his ass waiting for that chance to score? Dude, you're a d-man. Fucking act like one? Or not. He serves a purpose and knows his goal in this league. He'll grow and become a two-way player but at this current moment, it could likely be he biggest, positional weakness. Checking - Big boy, big body, little hits. This is surprising for someone of his size but other than Ovie and maybe the select few, what Russian can really hit and kick the fuck out of players? Probably a good question. This is probably another thing you can expect to go up soon as he wishes to be dominant but I wouldn't expect it "SOON" and more "SOONER RATHER THAN LATER". He's got other shit on his mind. Face off - He's a fucking d-man, so why the fuck would he have this? But, the ways of the rookie report wishes for you to talk about his weakness and if he has one, it's likely this. While he isn't hurting, he isn't fucking great and to be honest, anyone on Davos could beat him and other than a couple players, the rest are shit and the teams overrated. Kidding, but we're trying to start beef for a fun rivalry. but really, don't draft me. Either way, go the offensive way, crush the VHL and FO's are overrated. +8 Kovy
  18. That would be greasy with all things considered. But yeah, any team but Davos. I'm the opposite of Ahma ?
  19. We messaged you. Oslo offers: 1M.
  20. Mats Johnsson - D Jasper Canmore - F You up. @Tagger
  21. Twinger < Smirnov (though, the fact you don't add into FO will help you). Ironside << Kovalchuk (I'm gonna get you!) P.S Only team Kovalchuk won't play for is Davos (and doesn't care for Riga).
  22. Maxim Kovalchuk is a name that abruptly took the VHLM by storm. Shortly after fellow Russian Vyacheslav Smirnov came forward with his eligibility, Kovalchuk followed suit and made his name known to the league. Both players come from Russia, are the same age and funny enough, played for the same teams while over in Russia. Alike, they also have both taken their new presence in the VHLM/VHL community very seriously and have come out of the gates flying. Though, currently, Smirnov is slightly ahead - we wouldn't say for too long as both players will be developing at the same rate for this week and will see both players - despite different positions, at the same skill level. For Kovalchuk, his goals are to be a dominating, offensive beast out on the blue line for the Oslo Storm this season and if he had it his way, he'll enter the VHL draft after the season and maybe be long gone and onto better thing. I like to score goals, man. What person that plays hockey doesn't like to score goals. It gets you pumped - like, fuck yeah. You're helping the boys out, padding your stats and looking good to everyone watching. I want to be that guy, that they can count on to come out big and really make things happen. Eventually, I'll fold into a two-way guy, but for now, I want those scoring titles for blue liners in the VHLM. Count me in on it because it won't take long for me to start climbing. Let's go OSLO! +2 Kovalchuk
  23. He's a crazy Russian, and when we say crazy, we mean at hockey. Vyacheslav Smirnov officially announced his eligibility only 24-ish hours ago and is already off to a racing start. Quickly earning 70 TPE (30 start, 40 carryover), and then racing to another 33 VIA shit around the league, he's poised at getting in the VHLM, dominating and making his way to his new teammates in Seattle. Following being named to the leagues waiver lists, we seen him and Kovalchuk sign with the Oslo Storm, who of course, they both have ties with VIA their agent and both Oslo Storm managers. This is a big move for the organization considering they also managed to get the amazing, beautiful @Beerfridge who could lead the league in points this season. But, for Smirnov, what's his goals? "Well, this task here gets me the weekly 12. I want to be a dynamic force in the offensive zone, while also maintaining the ability to win draws. Though, currently for Oslo, it sounds like I'm going to be playing the wing - which is fine, so other areas rights now are my motive. This season, I'm looking for big things to happen and GM Campbell and @Laflamme I'm sure will treat me good and have me playing some decent, productive minutes. I think I've earned that, despite being in the league only a short while. I'm here to play big, play quick and develop into a strong player for both Seattle and Oslo". +2 Smirnov
  24. Thanks for the offers. I really considered Yukon to win and not be that guy to go to one team with both guys - and gave OTT consideration as I like D_A, despite a weaker team. However, the team just landed Stronk - so we gotta keep getting stronger! Accept Oslo offer: 1M
  25. Welcome, welcome. @Laflamme will be inviting you to the club shortly (bothering him on Discord now).
