Blake Campbell's Childhood
Blake Campbell was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and led the life that most people would around there. His family and him lived in the suburbs in a nice, towering brick house with large windows. The neighbourhood was safe and quiet and you could often find the streets filled with children playing street hockey on a Saturday night. Everywhere you looked there was snow, ice and more snow so pretty much everything you did in Denver had to do with ice and snow. The one large perk to this is that hockey season is longer and for the Campbell family that's amazing to know. Why is that you ask? Because the Campbell family is one big hockey family! We're talking never miss a Colorado Avalanche game since 1998 big. They live, breathe and sleep hockey. Although his entire family absolutely loves hockey, there's three people who have impacted him the most.
Firstly, Blake's cousin Brian Campbell plays in the NHL and is fairly well known for being a consistent, strong offensive dman for his organization. He was also the cool uncle who sent the cool hockey presents at Christmas time. Next comes his father, who he has said was one of his best friends growing up and somebody he could always count on. The last person to have a large impact on Blake's role and progression in hockey is the person who has also had the biggest impact on young Blake's career and life. They call it eachother their brother because that's exactly what they are. Blakes brother Jack was born 4 years earlier than Blake and had actually moved with his family from Michigan to Denver before having Blake as a baby. Being 4 years older than him, Blake obviously looked up to his older brother a lot. When they both started playing hockey, their parents thought it would best best that they didn't play the same position so Jack got the goalie equipment for Christmas and Blake got the player equipment.
It worked for a while as both gained a lot of skill in both their positions, but Blake wasn't having as much fun as his older brother Jack. He continued to play though because that's what his older brother would do and everything he learned was from his brother. However, after the season was done, Jack had a talk with Blake and encouraged him to do what he would like most. That year, Blake asked for goalie equipment for his birthday because he knew Christmas would be too late if he wanted to be a goalie now. His parents, grandparents and uncle Brian surprised him on his birthday with brand new, red and white, matching Reebok pads, glove, blocker and even a sweet new stick. Immediately, the boys went down stairs, Blake laced up his new pads and all the kids at the party made up two teams to play a couple games. Blake continued to work hard at learning how to make himself stronger, consistent and better. He'd stay up late on game nights studying video footage of some of the best VHL goalies to ever play the game. He knew he was a long ways a way but if he could learn to play like them he'd have no worries. The moment that hockey season ended and most kids were hanging up their skates, Blake and Jack were still lacing their up and Summer Hockey Schools. There wasn't a moment that these two weren't playing on hockey and focusing on getting better. From the moment they were born, they knew hockey. Their determination, effort and skill hadn't gone unnoticed and it didn't take long for professional league scouts to catch on to this goaltending duo. Just as they always did during their childhood, the boys once again had something in common. They we're both playing for the stars! Except Jack Campbell was picked up by the NHL's Dallas Stars and is now playing for Texas in the AHL. Blake on the other hand played for the Denver Stars and is now awaiting his future in hopes to one day make it big the VHL.
The Denver Stars
He was selected 17th Overall in the Colorado Hockey League (CHL) by the Denver Stars and had automatically begun to start making a name for himself for how hard he worked in practice and for how strong he was with the media. He became a leader in the locker room, a voice on and off the ice and a strong figure for the Denver Stars organization. Not only that, but he became one of the best goalies to ever play for them and he was doing it all as a rookie player. By the end of his first season in the CHL, he managed to post a record of 25-13-3 with 2.89 GAA and a save percentage of .902 which had him nominated for rookie of the year only to come up short in votes for 2nd place.
His second season with the Denver Stars was now an important one for him, whether he knew it or not. Due to his stellar performance during his rookie season, eyes were on him to see if he could repeat his strong play and show consistency. If he were able to do that, it would be safe to say that his skill level and potential are slightly or greater than the average goalies. Campbell didn't not fail his crowd of fans and spectators wishing him on as he made his last season look bad. He went on to win the Patrick Roy Trophy for best goalie during the regular season and was a nominee for MVP of the season. He also led his team to the championship finals only to lose in 2nd overtime of game 7.
Where is he now?
Blake Campbell is currently training at his Cabin on the mountain in Denver and is awaiting to see which team will choose him as their starter for the upcoming season. He continues to work hard and hasn't taken his focus off the main prize of becoming an elite goalie in the VHL

Blake Campbell playing for the Denver Stars Everyone could potentially become a great player but there are fewer goalies in professional leagues than players and to be honest, a goalie is a while other create compared to a player. It takes a huge amount of focus, vision, determination and many other things on top of a high skill level. Most goalies train from an extremely young age and it still takes them many years to master with very few coming close to perfecting the position. With people all over the world trying to attempt to make the big leagues in the VHL, your chances are very low to make it. The lower the chances, the harder you will have to work. Many I'm sure are deserving, but there's few more deserving than young goalie prospect Blake Campbell, who absolutely knows a thing or two about putting in the hours to become great. He's the younger brother of the NHL's Dallas Stars goalie prospect Jack Campbell and he has followed in his foot steps from a very young age. He looked up to his brother for being a great goalie and always wanted to become one, however, he started out as a center. He became good at the position but eventually grew old of it as it wasn't challenging at all for him. It wasn't too long after that he'd eventual find his new challenge. On his 9th birthday, Blake's parents both him a set of Reebok pads with a matching glove, blocker and stick. His helmet dawned a wolf biting his white, big teeth as the face part of the mark. He had never been so excited for hockey season to begin. It didn't take long for Blake to get the hang of the position and eventually had competitive amateur teams calling his phone consistently at the start of every season. His strong player, determination and effort earned him high reputation among scouts .Professional scouts have labelled the younger Campbell brother as the one with the most potential saying that he's really passionate about making himself better and that in a lot of ways he's become stronger at the position saying he's become the better "Jack Campbell". The brother rivalry is there but it's all fun and games for them. The real rivalry right now for Blake is himself. He wants to make himself the best possible option for any team to take. He wants to be the guy that wins you the game, even if there was a teammate who got a hatty. Jack Campbell's Agent BANACKOCK released a brief statement earlier this morning from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Within it, he announces Blake Campbell's draft eligibility for the upcoming draft plus more. "Firstly I would like to say that I am officially announcing that I am eligible in the upcoming draft. Secondly, thank you for the warm welcome to your league and all the help I've received thus far. I'm not going to lie, this is way more overwhelming than the SHL. It has always been an interest of mine to become a goalie and master it. I currently have a very strong offensive winger in the SHL, am helping my roommate with his Dman (and have great results for him) and now have the urge to see if I can figure being a goalie out. My focus is on SHL as I am a CoGM with a good player and have put tons of work into him (been in the SHL since S4). I'm always going away up North to work in a Camp." His Agent ended it up with a hopeful statement though, With that said, my full intentions are to turn Blake Campbell into one of the leagues current elite goalies. Who ever picks me, there's a risk but there always is. Help me learn this site and in return I will help you by working my ass to ensure I'm the best I can be in net for you."
