The Plot Thickens: Wahls September is Getting Worse? Last week I promised you more tea dear readers, and more teas is what you shall get! Just in case you live under a rock, I’ll remind you that the VHL dispersal draft happened just a few days ago. This is an exciting time as top ranked prospects from The VHLM received news about what teams they will be going to when they hit the big league. This season was the most exciting that Wranglers fans have had in a long time with a strong draft and GM Bushito @Bushito making some amazing grabs. Players like; Sigard Gunnar @Big Mac the Offensive Stud from the Philadelphia Reapers, Teemu Lehtinen Jr @Sixersfan549 who is powerhouse winger from the Houston Bulls and Fang Flashback @uphillmoss the famed VHLM Goalie who stops pucks with his face & totes around a inflatable rubber ducky, also from The Reapers (No surprise there, that is where all the weirdos come from). So you might be wondering why any of this would spell disaster for Wahl. There are Rumors that Calgary management is done with Wahls behind the scene antics and ready to bring in a rookie who will replace the drama mongering tendie. Brick has gone on the record saying “ Calgary management has saw fit to get me a back up goalie, as far as I am concerned the kid is not a suitable replacement at this time. I would know, I tried to train that kid in Philly for former Reapers GM, Katherine Blade. That being Said I can see a kid like him becoming a star, he has the personality to succeed and with some time he could be something special. As far as what I do behind the scenes, that is between me and Calgary Management, it is really none of your business!"

Ya this isn’t personal for the guys who were brought in because you definitely hold value and are great members. I don’t think anyone could say anything against you, @Esso2264 or @Psanchez55 and it is why I didn’t mention the guys coming in. I have too much respect for you guys to drag you into my feelings about what went down. However, it holds true that @Sharkstrong became a major part of what i loved about Calgary and for me personally it sucks to see him go.

Doom And Gloom In Calgary For Brick Wahl These are dark days in Calgary for Brick Wahl. Earlier on in the season you could have asked Brick if he thought things could get worse in Calgary and we would have answered he could not think of a worst thing happening than John Frostbeard @FrostBeardbeing acquired in a Savvy move by Seattle GM Banackock @Banackock. The fuzzy faced Latvian was one of Wahls close companions on the team and he was amongst the most heartbroken players on Calgary when that news hit. Which explains why the living Wahl of a Goalie would not have believed anyone who told him that a tougher trade was yet to come. News broke late in the evening that Calgary had made a trade, Brick who is known for being involved in the goings on of upper management was blindsided. This trade came out of nowhere. Without so much as a word Elasmobranch Fish @Sharkstrong had been sent packing to Shawn Glade’s @ShawnGlade HC Davos Dynamos. Sources close to Wahl say he clutched at his phone in disbelief upon reading the news. It’s not like you can blame the poor guy, two close friends gone within weeks of each other. The Only statement Wahl was willing to make at this time was “There are some people you can not replace in the Roster, it is not about points or winning, they are just worth more than that as people. Elasmobranch Fish is part of what made Calgary feel like a home for me and now with him gone I can honestly say it feels empty” Wahls eyes welled with tears but he blinked them back “ but in the end this is part of hockey and I will do what I can to ensure my teams success, I know he will do the same for his new team. I hope Davos knows what an amazing player they just acquired.” Wahl was asked about what he though about the direction the team was going in, his only answer was “No Comment.”

Awww that’s cute, Devise mentions you are his first choice to be his replacement and you get feisty again... or is it that you have draft picks and you feel you can compete? You call out GMs for focusing on winning and yet you sold your team’s future for multiple seasons for a shot at the cup, that is the definition of a hypocrite. In response to you calling me out over S66, oh you mean the season my team won the cup?! How dare I talk about winning and having a great team the season I actually won. Really Peace? Like I am supposed to not care about winning...ok then. Just to refresh your memory I didn’t trash talk everyone, but I guess that is how speaking your mind and being confident gets interpreted by insecure men. I don’t even consider @Peace to be my rival so it must be very one sided ... I mean if he really wants to he can get in line with a few other GMs and AGMs that form a boy band of Philadelphia haters. I heard they practice on Thursdays so he can still make it to this weeks practice in @InstantRockstar‘s garage lol

At the end of each VHLM season win or lose each team enters a time of transition. At this time, most teams will lose anywhere from 10% to 100% of their active rosters. While some GMs will take this opportunity to face down a new challenge and rebuild with a new set of eager faces, In Philadelphia it is probably one of the saddest times of the season for us. The reapers have always set up their organization to be supportive and every time we lose a member to the VHL is like saying goodbye to family. Sure, they come visit and talk but it is not quite the same. Players priorities change and they get more invested in their new teams, as they should. I have been asking myself how long an organization I have set up in this manner can run effectively ? It is clear that my locker room is run differently than most in the VHLM but I have been wondering if setting up a home atmosphere in the VHLM is a mistake. Did I take away from the purpose of what the VHLM is supposed to be? A lot of the structure of Philly was created to prove I could run a locker room that was set up for the long term and that I could keep a VHL type locker room active. Now with that goal clearly dead, at least in my eyes, the question remains how much I should keep the same or change with the new season approaching?
