@dasboot Seriously i just thought every once in a while an updater checked to see if i was on topic, i was convinced no one tuned into my audio lunacy. btw your podcasts are always so entertaining, whenever i listen to you @JardyB10, @fishy, @Spartan @thadthrasher or @Berocka I think man i want to team up with these amazing people. the most fun i ever had doing podcast were back when i had a team  and my players would hop on with me,  to this day i miss those crazy recordings.

Podcasts are an underrated part of this league, and I’m so happy that more people are podcasting every week. Today I downloaded I think every podcast that has been released in the past two weeks and listened to nearly all of them. They are such an easy way to take in league information and get different point a views without having to read from the forum.
 
A few things I noticed was that mostly people are doing solo podcasts rather than with others these days and I’m sure there are many reasons from not having good enough internet to record properly like me, to maybe just times not lining up with others. There were a couple with @Brewins15 and friends but unfortunately there the audio was hard to listen to and 3PPAO isn’t releasing on Spotify now for whatever reason so couldn’t listen to that. @rory ???

The cool thing is you can add listening or even recording podcast to any part of your life. Like @Spartan driving and podcasting at the same time, even though it was 50% cursing at drivers or @Minion walking somewhere and hearing the crunch of leaves under his feet. 
 
Either way, I recommend going and listening to as many as you can whether it’s @Berocka’s new start up podcast, @JardyB10 cursing at everyone, getting an inside look @fishy’s hectic week with modding, listening to @thadthrasher’s soothing voice and how his hockey game experience was (super jealous), @N0HBDY taking shots at jardy and not editing his newest episode after doing such a good job in the previous or listen to @jRuutu talk about spreading assholes. I see @BladeMaiden just released one and I’m excited to listen to that tomorrow. I also made one too but who cares. There’s something for everyone out there. 
 
If you are one of those people that does listen to podcasts, I encourage engaging with the content creators whether that’s commenting on the thread and asking questions. I know as a podcasted it’s definitely better when people engage. I’m going to make it my goal to comment and ask questions on every one that I listen to. 
 
Also maybe a podcast section in discord would be nice like we have graphics and writers ones, especially now that we have so many people doing it. 
 
This turned out longer than I expected, sorry for tags but go listen to a podcast. 

Overall nice podcast, audio levels might have been reduced a tad bit too much, had to crank my volume up a bit to hear you. I was particularly curious about this 2nd point so I skipped ahead to find it, mainly because it is a growing topic in not just our community but in the world. With the addition of tags in the main server, there's been a lot of attention on them. Personally, I hated the tags as they were before Dlamb changed a few of them and is still redesigning them to all fit the new theme.
 
However, these role emotes are purely a byproduct from being at a level 2 boost for the server, which I'm not sure if it's sustainable unless there are people willing to boost every month. Essentially, I don't know if role tags for pronouns is a long term solution, although even I would rather see those as role emotes than the modge podge that we have now lol. However, I was just thinking that it could just be easier for people to add "he/him" into their server nicknames. There's quite a bit of leeway for name lengths, and that would be an easy and clear long-term method (after my 2 minutes of thinking about it) to make your pronouns known. A lot of GM's used to identify themselves as a GM beyond the color coding with " | MOS GM" as an example after their names. 
 
I get that it's inconvenient to have to change your name to match your pronouns, but I'm not really sure if we can expect everyone to open up everyone else's profiles to see what their selected pronouns are, if there are even any. I was made aware of alternate pronouns earlier today of a user whose profile I didn't even think to open up. While adding pronouns to nicknames may feel restricting to the user, I can't think of a better long-term method that won't rely on continuous server boosts from benevolent members. Love that you brought the topic up though! Was literally thinking about the difficulty of recognizing folks' pronouns from that situation earlier today, perfect timing  

This right here is the TLDR of the podcast, if your pronouns are that important to you put them up loud and proud and upfront. I honestly don't want to hurt feelings and i know the majority of the community is like that as well.
 
Idk if i said it but i don't think i am an expert on any of this stuff but i just think it should be talked about because we do need a long term obvious solution to the issue and I don't want to clutter the discord but i also want people to feel safe and respected. hopefully we can find a good mix
 
thank you for your thoughts on this topic and for not skewering me for my basic shower thoughts on the subject, there are multiple things we could do. As with most things i am just riffing and poppin out ideas in the hopes that a few will really make a difference or inspire others that will.

No thank yous needed on this one, it is has been a honour getting to know you better and it makes me regret not reaching out sooner.  Least we can do in this world is stand by good people and try to help them through the storm. So happy that the league has been working so hard on making this a transformative moment for the VHL and that you have been so strongly supported.

This was fantastic Blade! I'm glad you decided to make this, it's very touching to see people share things that are so meaningful, whether that's their thoughts or a piece of art or anything. I know you often think of yourself as someone who can get painted in a negative light because of your hot takes and strong opinions, and maybe some people do (though not that I've personally witnessed), but I don't think you're anything but a force of good for this league. Even/Especially when you're bullying poor Quik
 
I know you've mentioned taking a step away from the league when Venus dies. I'll be among the many who will miss your presence and eagerly/hopefully await your return

Hello, 
I just wanted to come on here and say a quick thank you to anyone who supported my article this week. There were a lot of reasons that I decided to finally come forward to say something about it. I just want to take this time to thank some people etc.
 
@Alex_J32 and @Moon_50may be the two people who have been most involved in everything that has happened. Hearing my ramble and scream about everything going on and just having open ears. I feel just slightly bad about the states they have had to see me in. They made what was happening a lot easier to deal with and a lot easier coming forward knowing the two of them were always behind me.
 
To @BladeMaidenand @Horcrux, Thank you for having my back and fighting this battle with me. Two of the strongest people I have ever met. You both deserve the absolute world. 
 
To the people who have reached out to me and asked what they can do and have conversations with me about this...Thank you for caring and taking a step forward to help. Thank you to those people who showed their support and backed me up even if they didn’t know exactly what had been going on or didn’t realize how big the issue at hand was.
 
To mods and commissioners who have been great in starting the process of change and working with me and others to get things done right and well. Thank you for your patience and for listening to what had to be said. I appreciate how seriously this has been taken and the care that has been shown.

Can’t say it was easy or comfortable but I’ve been here over 4 years, I figured that i’ve at least seen enough that I could be a voice and start the conversation.

My first Graphics 

Well what about nyko calling me a cougar in gen chat, in the middle of when i was asking not to be harassed? Literally we had a member framing me as an aggressor or cougar while i was unable to respond i was so uncomfortable. 
 
this is just from last night.. 
 
And sure the mods dealt with the first part of what made me uncomfortable but not with the mentality of the other user trying to flip blame on me.
 
this is a culture issue 

Just want to go out and say I’ve been asking for representation in the bod for years. I have personally been affected by these issues for years. When I joined I wanted to GM and be a member of the Admins one day because I knew that strong compassionate voices were needed in the VHL so that ALL our members can feel safe.
 
shout out to @Josh and @fishy who were supportive last night when i finally decided to come forward with an issue after years of ignoring things because I didn’t want to make a scene after being told for years i just attract drama.
 
but we need more, because we should have more female members but the end up leaving because of things like this. This is not our culture we are better than this!

Representation and visibility is important in general. People are more likely to respect women and other minorities when they are given responsibility and power.
 

@rjfryman just happy I could help at all, this brought me back to when I did this with @McWolf . Even though I don’t consider the help I gave major on any level. The league is lucky to have such an amazing Commissioner of these world tournaments  congratulations to everyone who got hired and a big nod to everyone who didn’t as there wasn’t a bad application in the bunch. I would like to say that although the problem last night played an influence it was not the main reason this was posted

I know personally I have gone to a few staff about stuff that has happened in DMS and nothing has happened. 

so this is not entierly true

I know way too many circumstances where going to someone did absolutely nothing and it was brushed under the rug or called being dramatic etc.
