  1. Hey @Gooningitup First off, welcome to the league! I wanted to take a couple seconds and reach out as we think your player would be a good fit to our team! Please note, other GMs may also offer, so feel free to take as much time as you would like before making a decision. Join the Aces! We are currently going to be a team in a rebuilding phase, but we have a ton of picks this offseason as well as my player going to be joining the team next season, we are looking to go for it all next season. I think we will be in great shape to do that. We would love to add you to the fold! I think you could be a huge addition to the team. So, how about we make Vegas your home and make VHL GMs want you to be part of their team? I know you will receive a few offers, so I wish you the best if you do not choose to take your talents to Vegas (though I hope you do!). Just quote this offer and say "I want to get Lucky" if you want to join the Aces!
  2. sure
  3. Rotterdam, Netherlands:: VHL hopeful defenseman, Micah Adrienne has suffered a torn ACL while playing for his Junior Hockey team in the Netherlands. He was very much hoping to join the league next season, but that may be taking a step back with this really huge injury that will be requiring surgery. We did catch up with Micah who had this to say: Micah, a 6'8" defender will be looking forward to his time in the VHL. Teams are starting to watch this guy. He has a unique skill set, I mean, it's not like every defenseman looks exactly the same in some fake sim engine, now does it? Let's look at exactly what this guy has. What to expect: Big frame: At 6'8", he is going to be someone that is going to be a huge presence during any teams back line. This is someone that will have a very long reach as well, so getting around him is going to be pretty tough. You will have to use your speed, which this guy has as well. It's going to be very interesting to see how teams are going to plan on beating him. Defense first: This is someone who is not going to light up the scoresheet. I mean, it's not someone you will probably want on the PowerPlay right away, maybe the Penalty Kill, but he's not going to be a Quarterback for any PowerPlay. He focuses on his defensive ability first and foremost. Development: There is no doubt that this guy will develop quickly. He is someone that learns very fast, so adding speed, puck handling, passing, and other skills are things that will definitely come quick to him. He will already have defense, so adding the other aspects should come pretty quick. Be patient: You need to be patient with this guy. He is very raw right now with him learning quite a bit from his brother and how he plays. He watches a lot of the VHL and is more than excited to be entering the league sooner than later. That really bodes the question. Who needs a big defender? Are these in need in the VHL? Well, we are certainly going to find out soon enough. Well, hopefully he gets back to normal from injury. No one wants to see him stop playing especially with the amount of talent that this guy has. With

  13. @BladeMaiden, our competition from the start being two goalies with really little position to make it. I always compared myself to you, so I have to say that you were the hero in keeping me active and updating. The graphic is rough. I am trying to get better and learn layers. It took me a bunch of time, but I will get better

  15. With a record of 13-45-5, it has been a really tough year for the Las Vegas Aces. However, there have been a few bright spots for the team, you could call them the unsung heroes of the team. D Mike van Stronk - The defenseman has put up 33 goals and 54 assists in his 63 games, that is right, he has 87 points as a defenseman, can you believe that? What a crazy statistic considering what the team has really done. The overall of the team is not great, the power play is just over 20% and the PK is abysmal. van Stronk has been a great bright spot for the team, he is one of the unsung heroes. D Blacker Velvet - Similarly to van Stronk, Velvet has 79 points in 63 games. It is weird how the top 2 players on the Aces in points are both defenseman. I think that this has really been a great look for their VHL teams who will want a lot from these guys. The numbers are there, but we will have to see about the activity.
  16. I try too hard sometimes.
