Is there a dearth of active Hall of Famers?
Bayley replied to Victor's topic in Archived Media Spots
Davison4HOF I think if I wasn't on a rebuilding team for the majority of my career, I would be more into the higher case of being HOF. I think for that reason, I may not. -

I highly recommend @Viperxhawks19 for this job. He was amazing working with me and interacting with members of the team. He did the press conference every week and was constantly looking for ways to improve the team and asking questions. It was a pleasure working with him, I really think the deserves the chance, and he will absolutely be here for a while. I also showed him STHS, so he can set lines and do that, what can he not do? Worth the hire.

Fair point, I forgot what it was called lol

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play in a fictional hockey league where a text based simulation engine does all of the work for you? You may play NHL on your PS4 a lot, but you want to play that game with more people or maybe you suck at video games and would rather write or make graphics. Ever wonder if there was a league you can join to meet new people and have fun with others who genuinely enjoy sports? Well, wonder no further, we have the Victory Hockey League or VHL for short! In this league, you can create your player and take the journey from being drafted (or waivers) in the VHL Minor Leagues where you could play for teams such as the Philadelphia Reapers, Las Vegas Aces or Ottawa Lynx. There are other teams in the Minors, so do not worry if you do not like any of those locations. From there, you will enter the big leagues through a draft. The VHL GMs will reach out to you and scout you, just like in real life. Ever want to know what it feels like being wanted? Well, wonder no further! In the VHL, there are teams like the Prague Phantoms, Riga Reign, DC Dragons, and Vancouver Wolves among many more. You will play for those teams and make your path to the Hall of Fame. How do you get better? Well, there are various ways to get better and get closer to your goal of being in the Hall of Fame. We have written options (500 words or less) as well as graphic options for all you creative folks out there. By doing these per week, you can hit the cap of the amount of points you can earn and add to your attributes every week. It is as simple as that! If you do not have time to do written or graphic, we also have welfare where you can just make a post and STILL get better, how easy is that? There are options for everyone to participate and enjoy the league as a whole. There is a great community with a lot of people willing to help! If you have questions, feel free to pop into our discord, we can help you with builds, understanding point tasks, navigating the forums, or anything you may have in order to help your experience here in the VHL! There will always be people to help such as General Mangers, Board members, and just people in general to help you get the answers you so desire. If you are in other leagues, we do have some affiliate partnerships for you to take advantage of! We have so much for you to do here, so, we look forward to seeing your player created soon! ------------------------------------------- Here was a fun little recruiting pitch I made for the VHL. I think it covers a lot of what people may look for as well as not giving all of the information away so people go into the discord, pop onto the website and ask more questions. I think some recruiting pitches give out too much information so it may turn people off. I like to give a little feel of what it's like and let them join to figure out the rest. Let me know what you think.

RIP Dave. I was told this the other day by someone, I couldn't believe it was true. I had many interactions over the years with 701, he went way back with me. He was polarizing, but always had everyone's best interest. I genuinely enjoyed my interactions with you. @701 RIP my dude, gone way too soon.

Philadelphia Reapers Press Conference
Bayley replied to BladeMaiden's topic in Team Press Conferences
1) It’s been an intense season so far. How are you holding up? Any injuries? One injury I have been trying to get better is my Torn ACL, that's why it took me so long to get here. I am feeling better now. 2) Prediction time. Who do you think will win the World Juniors? How come? I would have to say Europe because they are going to be the best team. I have to do more research, because I am honestly not sure. 3) Who do you think will win the VHL? How come? I think Vancouver is going to win because they have a decent goalie. 4) Thanks to much smaller ear buds you can now listen to music during the game. Are you listening to anything? If so, what? Do you think this helps you out on the ice? I do not listen to music very often other than before the game. I do listen to a lot of Taylor Swift. We have a couple albums either Lover or Reputation depending who we are playing that week. 5) Due to COVID-19, sports now have to merge. What sport would you like to merge with hockey? How would the new sport play out? I would like to play soccer. We play soccer on ice. Think how cool that would be! 6) Our equipment cleaner workers were deemed non-essential so there’s no one to clean your jerseys or equipment. How is your equipment holding up? Do you do anything special to take care of it? I never washed anything anyway, if anyone cleans my stuff, they get cut. -

Micah Adrienne Junior Review There was always a lot to like about Micah Adrienne as he played Junior hockey in the Netherlands for the U-20 team. Not really know much for his offensive prowess, Micah Adrienne was always known more for his size, frame, as well as work in the defensive zone. I would not expect that you would see him on the scoresheet or even on the PowerPlay, but I would absolutely expect to see him against the other team's Power Play considering where he comes from and what he does. He is not the greatest shooter despite having a goal for the Philadelphia Reapers, but he projects really high. During his time with the Netherlands U-20, he was paired with Bjorn Borgman of the Den Haag HIJS. These two complimented each other very nicely, so it is going to be about learning how to play with someone else. I definitely think that this is going to be the biggest struggle. Everyone sees him as a leader in the locker room, even for his young age. Do not get distracted by his look, he looks like a baby, but he is a grown man. Now, there was a huge setback previously with the Torn ACL. This is one concern that many scouts have. It could absolutely limit his ability to reach his potential of being a top 2 defenseman. Some are going to look at that and maybe shy away from taking someone like Adrienne. He has definitely been vocal about the fact that he has worked back from that, but even Philadelphia has hesitated a bit to go all-in with Adrienne. They have hesitated to put him on one of the top pairings and give him a lot of minutes. They may be worried about that knee as well. However, he will work as hard as he can to not make that limit him. It is absolutely a risk, but it could be worthwhile to any team that is looking to scout him. What can be expected of Adrienne in the VHL/VHLM? I would expect someone who is going to be defense first. He is not going to put much into scoring for a few seasons, he wants to work on his hitting, defense, and overall puck handling skills in his own zone. He has a plan, and he is sticking to it. There's risk there as I mentioned, so there may be more safer picks than Adrienne. He learns quickly, but you need to be patient with him and his development. So, what do you say, VHL? Are you ready for the NEXT Adrienne?

The career of goalie Finn Davison will be coming to a close at the end of the season with the Vancouver Wolves. Coming from being drafted 17th in the Season 64 draft, Finn was taken originally as a backup in Davos. They looked to split time as he only started 34 games during his rookie year. But, even before that, he was never drafted into the VHLM as he was a waiver pickup by the Ottawa Lynx. In his one season in the VHLM, he played 34 games with a 16-16-2 record and his GAA and Save Percentage was less than ideal, so you can look it up. In the playoffs, he was a star. That is where he first got noticed. He had a 6-5 record with a .919 save percentage and 2.11 GAA. This ranks as one of the better playoff series in the history. In the career of Davison, he played for 4 different teams (Davos, Moscow, Riga, Vancouver) and had a career 216-193-52 record with a .919 save percentage and 2.57 with 31 career shutouts. He has 1 Greg Clegane and 1 Aidan Shaw trophy to his trophy case. In the end, he was always compared to the elite goalies that played around him. But, at the end of the day, it was a career. It may have ended too soon, so we will remember what could have been with Finn Davison. Best of luck, let's get a cup.

1) At this point in the season, you’ve played every team at least twice now. Have you developed a hatred for any team in particular? Why or why not? Being a new player to the team, I am ready to start fresh and develop hatred. 2) We have a slew of tough games followed by a bunch of easier games. Which games do you look forward to more, the ones against top teams or bottom teams? Why? I like the ones against the better teams. I get to show off and be better and get better. 3) The Reapers will be playing in a charity game where we have a celebrity coach. Which celebrity do you think should be our coach? How come? Taylor Swift because she actually is a big hockey fan and she is amazing, so obviously, she needs to be our coach. 4) Which celebrity on the other team would you like to lay a huge hit on? I am not sure what this means? But, that bitch Carole Baskin. 5) With our signing of Tiger King Joe Exotic, we have started a program to train tigers to play hockey. As a Reaper you have to help with their training. What hockey skill are you teaching the tigers? We are teaching them how to eat the bad people. Like Carole Baskin's husband, not that she knows about what that means or anything. 6) How are you going to teach them that skill while not getting mauled by the tigers? Well, this is awkward, you have to eat the other team. -
I honestly can't say no to a pitch like this. you are the best thing that's ever been mine. I also follow in @OrbitingDeath's footsteps as my brother. @Proto, if you had minutes to offer, of course, I'd go back, but I want to play a bit.

I'd like to thank @ShawnGlade for taking a chance on me as a backup. We started in Davos and people started to look in my direction. I'd like to thank @Victor, @hedgehog337, and @Beaviss for taking a chance on older Finn. Hell of a career, hope it can be capped with the best thing of all... a Cup.
