  1. Oh yes it is! I'll work on this tonight and tomorrow
  2. Appreciate the kind words & feedback honestly. Coming from you I'll take it all day haha.
  3. 1. Playoffs have begun! What is the greatest team we have to look out for? Always the first team we face, so at this point it would've been Miami but we took care of business, now we look forward to our next opposition. 2. What one player on our team needs to perform well in order to lock in for our success for the playoffs? Unfortunately the pressure falls on me, because as a goalie you need to perform to win games, of course it is a team game but without a good goalie performance, you're toast. 3. What would playing in a playoff environment mean for your player? Further excitement and also a bit of gratitude. We've worked SO hard all season to get to where we are, so for it to all come full circle is amazing. 4. Everyone has different emotions when they unlock a certain milestone, how is your player feeling after securing a playoff spot? Very, very blessed. As a rookie goalie who was behind most other goalies, my expectations have been SO far surpassed it's not even funny. 5. How does your player normally prepare for gameday? Very quietly, on his own most of the times, mentally preparing for everything and being ready to die on the ice. 6. Pineapple or Mango? On Pizza, Pineapple, but overall, Mango.
  4. Not a whole lot of people can say that they are currently in the playoffs as both a player, and a general manager, but I am one of the few who can. As someone who is experiencing the playoffs not only in multiple leagues, but at multiple 'levels' as well, it really gives me a lot of insight and perspective on the playoffs themselves and provides multiple emotions along the way. As a player, I solely have to think about myself, of course I do think of my team but I know with my player, I can make or break a game, and if I don't update, and I don't play well, I won't succeed at that level and I'll let myself down and in turn, let everyone else down, but as a general manager, it's like... you hold a whole list of people's dreams and desires and possibly fun in your hands, and when you think about it, the success of the team comes from everyone together and not just one individual person. I feel like being a player is a lot more laid back though because at the end of the day I can have the opportunity to chase more cups and even if I don't win cups, I'm not gonna be too upset over it, but as a GM, I have to really strive for the best, be the best I can be and deliver results whenever possible, simply for the greater good of my team. Just some random thoughts for the day, but yeah, it is a lot of fun to be where I am from both perspectives, and I can only hope both my player, and my team flourish to the best of their abilities to win their respective leagues
  5. PLAYER NAME: AUGUSTUS KENNEDY POSITION: GOALIE HEIGHT: 6'5" WEIGHT: 200LBS AGE: 18 NATIONALITY: CANADIAN VHLM TEAM: SASKATOON WILD VHL DRAFT STATUS: ELIGIBLE CURRENT RANKING: 11TH OVERALL HOW ITS GOING - CURRENT VHLM STATUS Augustus Kennedy is currently in his first (and likely only) season in the VHLM. As of today's date, Augustus and his team, the Saskatoon Wild, are second in the league, and their conference with a very impressive 51-18-1 record. From this team record, Augustus is to thank for all 51 of the wins, as well as being accountable for 17 of their 18 regular season losses and the 1 OT loss. Away from this record, his other stats are equally impressive, as he currently is first in the league (amongst starters) for GAA (2.74) as well as third in the league (amongst starters) in SV% (0.895%), and to top it all off, he has 4 shutouts which ties him for third best in the league. When conducting his VHL draft combine interview, Augustus came off as very knowledgeable when it comes to the sport, and seems to be very aware of his surroundings and present at all times, his hockey IQ is also very high for a goalie which will help him as he makes the jump from the minor league to the 'middle' league and eventually, to the major leagues. Augustus has also made it aware to all scouts that he did join the league late, and he is aware that he is behind in training hours, but it seems like what he lacks in practice hours, he makes up for in performance, as he's outperforming every goalie with more hours than him, even those eligible in his draft class, so he does urge goalies to keep this in mind. PROS OF HIS GAME REBOUND CONTROL - Augustus prides himself on being able to cover the puck up during sticky situations and has really limited his chances of letting out a rebound. Augustus has been working with numerous goalie coaches to find the proper techniques to avoid accidental kick-outs and awkward bounces that could put him and his team in jeopardy of being scored on. Moving forward, this will continue to be one of the biggest mechanics of his game that he will focus on, all the way to the pros. REACTION TIME - Similar to rebound control, another massive mechanic of the game Augustus prides himself in, is his ability to react swiftly to big plays and awkward plays that some goalies may otherwise find difficult. Whether put in a situation with a 2-on-1 or maybe even a 3-on-1, Augustus has the ability to snap back into position quickly and really read a play, as well as rely on his teammates to secure the shutdown of a possible goal attempt. This will also be something Augustus has openly said will be a focus his whole career, until there is no way to improve it. CONS OF HIS GAME SPEED & AGILITY - A mixture of the two, Augustus is aware that his speed and agility has not been worked on since his debut in the VHLM, however his goalie coaches have made him aware that these mechanics are the least of his worries while in the minor league level. Augustus has been very open with explaining his reasons for not improving on these mechanics quite yet, but has said he will begin to balance out his overall style and gameplay once he reaches a more pro level, where these may become more 'necessary' than they are now. PUCK CONTROL - As we rambled on about the above, Puck Control is another mechanic that just has not been a focal point for Augustus, but also has not really weakened his game in any way. Because Augustus is focusing so much on his rebound control and his reaction time, as well as his hand speed and his overall flashiness on the ice, puck control seemingly has not become a huge problem... yet. Like his goalie coach has said, he is aware that eventually it will need to be another focal point for Augustus, and he will make the necessary changes as his career progresses.
  6. Much love man, I've been waiting patiently, would love the opportunity. V.2 knows how I feel about him though haha, excellent GFXer, user and person. Great candidate indeed
  7. 1. We are first place in the VHLM with 93 points! How does it feel? For a first year player... this feels beyond words. One hell of a season! 2. Almost every player has a few embarrassing moments while playing hockey, tell us one embarrassing hockey memory While learning to play goalie early on in his career, Augustus ended up falling over pretty much all game during a huge rivalry match, ruining the game for his team. 3. What type of locker room guy is your player? Quiet and focused, does a bit of chatter but mostly getting himself hyped up, listening to music, just spending the time alone. 4. List one thing you enjoy about the Saskatoon Wild! The team dynamic, it's been a long time since I've been on such a fun team in the M! 5. With the likes of Napoleon Dynamite and Pierre Emile Bouchard joining the team. How do these acquisitions help us out come playoff time? We are already so deep and powerful, these adds just make us even better, was so excited by adding both. 6. What's the biggest athletic weakness your player has? Currently... none. He's got a great reach, good rebound control, good senses, etc. Only thing he will be focusing on as he progresses to the pros is agility to be quicker around the net.
  8. When Augustus Kennedy entered the league late, almost 100 TPE behind some of his counterparts in goal, his worries were simply that he would not amount to be anything of great success in his rookie year, simply due to being behind so many great talents on the other teams, however Saskatoon really helped him break out of his shell and as of this past sim, he has now achieved his 50th win of his early career in just 68 starts, with a record of 50-17-1. On top of achieving a huge milestone of wins, he also leads the league in GAA amongst starters (2.74%) and also has the third best SV% amongst starters (0.895%). If that wasn't impressive enough, Augustus has also captured 4 shutouts in his career, tied third in the league among all goalies, and has also assisted on 6 goals for his team, with some end to end magic on the ice. Overall, this went from being a very 'worrisome' season to the best result Augustus could've asked for, and he can only thank the team and management that has been put in front of him, without them, he'd be nowhere, likely a nobody, failing miserably.
  9. It's great to see the commishes and the BOD making a big push to eliminate something that has been a huge discussion point for a lot of people. I've been virtually neutral on the discussion, not really adding much insight for either side of the argument to keep or eliminate the meta, but this looks like a very unique and cool way to handle it. Kudos to everyone involved in the decision
  10. added a bit of lighting, just throwing it in for comparison sake.
  11. 1. Minou Lambert is another standout player for our team, with 77 points, he's tied for 3rd in the whole VHL. In your opinion, how much of a contribution has he made on our dominant offense? - One of the best on the team, dominant player and offensive contribution is insane, elite player for sure. 2. As more and more games pass, it's increasingly easier to point your finger on a playoff team - maybe even a Cup Winner. As 48 games have been played for Saskatoon, do you think this team has what it takes to go deep in the playoffs? - With my 40th win now under my belt as a rookie goalie, I'd like to see us as a top team for the cup! 3. What is something that this Saskatoon team excels at that other teams struggle with? Goal scoring for sure, we light a lot of teams up! 4.What's your favorite aspect of Hockey? How fast paced & exciting it is 100%. 5. What your player's song that gets them pumped for a big game? City of Gods is a new one that he's hooked on for sure. 6. Thoughts on the NHL season so far? My Ducks are finally fun to watch play again so it's been amazing for me personally. Fuck the other teams tho.
  12. Not an official review, but this is actually lowkey fire. Simplistic design well executed
  13. Brother is home, I already submitted my weekly GFX, this is literally just so I can claim the theme week bonus lol. Don't roast me on this one, I did not in any way, shape or form spend enough time to make it look presentable but with my brother home, it'll have to do, as he's my primary concern atm. Edit: also, the title has nothing to do with the people pictured, they would be my ideal dream team this season if given a chance lol, it has to do with how crap this graphic is it's messed up.
  14. I looked back out of curiosity when I first joined the league again, and it had been about 4 years or so, I then got curious to see when I actually became a GM because while I know the season length, I didn't actually know the year and tenure, etc. Low and behold @Josh chose to hire me in February of 2019 as an AGM for the now defunct Yukon Rush and I lasted all of one season there as two months later in April of 2019, the then VHLM commissioners @Banackockand @diamond_ace gave me a shot with an expansion team in San Diego. I held the team for almost 1 2/3 years before moving on for a season, then coming back to the helm of a team with Miami, where I surprisingly had my most playoff success so I was very grateful for that. Fast forward to the present and I'm now on my 3rd season with Rome and I've actually had some of the most fun times as GM lately as I have in the past couple years, the team we have this year has been a lot of fun to engage with and I've truly enjoyed the season. I've not missed the playoffs thus far which is always a pipedream but I'm 0/2 in the finals, so this year Rome MUST come back to win... dontcha think? In any case, there is a trip down memory lane for you... 3 whole years in just two months, my oh my how time flies...
  15. 1.Augustus Kennedy has been our starting goaltender for this season, how do you think he's preformed? - Being its my player, I won't toot my own horn too much, but I have to say being behind in TPE like I am, I am incredibly blessed to be playing how I am. 2.Season is about 40% of the way done, has Saskatoon lived up to it's season expectations so far? - I would say Sask has been amazing, looking at where we are and the other teams, we're fighting tooth & nail 3.Are you a Night Owl or an Early Bird? - Night Owl always, have been since I was little really 4.A fight breaks out on the ice between your teammates and opposing players on the ice, what do you do? - Leave my crease and get the frick in there, I'm on the ice all game, you best believe I'm getting involved. 5.Tea or Coffee? - Tea 1000% it's not even a question 6. Who has been the most surprising player on our team? Why? - I would like to believe Minou, the guy has been lights out, top 5 in the league, can you say more?
  16. Long ass tenure man, I still remember when you were promoted. Sorry to hear you're feeling the way you are, but kudos to you for calling it quits on your own terms when you realized it. Hopefully your interest comes back soon Take care of yourself in the meantime.
  17. When Augustus Kennedy first broke into the league, you wouldn't have been able to sell his name to many fans or even other players, as he was well behind in training hours and was not doing the best between the pipes for Saskatoon, a lot of people doubted his abilities as he was a bit of a late bloomer coming into the league and was playing with people who were just outclassing him, however as of today's stature and viewpoint, he looks like a completely different player. Augustus has now seemingly found his footing for the league and has really stood his ground for Saskatoon, being named multiple stars in multiple games, winning his teams game axe for his recent shutout performance and helping his team climb to second in their whole conference, fourth in the league. With this new dynamic shift of his game style and play, a lot of people have now changed their perspective on the young goalie and a lot of comments have come flooding in that whatever he did, has really improved his overall demeanor out on the ice and it's really affecting his ability to win games, in a positive way. We'll continue to keep on this story for the near future just to see if it's a fluke, or if it's something to be intrigued about, but for now, Saskatoon fans and players alike are very happy to see their team winning games.
  18. 1. As more and more games are being played, how is your player feeling about our start? - Augustus is getting better and better between the pipes, he's now the 2nd most winningest goalie in the league and is only improving from there. 2. What keeps your player hydrated while taking part in practices and games? - Always some gatorade, with some of my hydration coming from chocolate milk, both provide excellent nutrient options. 3. What should be our season expectations this year? - We're a top team to be feared with imo, we've got a steady and consistent team with some top dogs carrying us for sure. 4. Has your player ever been in a slump? If so, how did they get out of it? - I would say the start of the season was iffy, I accumulated most of my losses as the season began, but once we found our groove I've been pretty lights out since. 5. Favourite ice cream flavour? - Mint chocolate chip always. 6. If you could choose one superpower what would it be? - To be able to fly, I hate driving places and planes suck, so just flying everywhere on my own would be amazing
