Welcome @RunnerBert11 to the VHL! If you have any questions or concerns, I am always around and willing to help. That being said, like most of the other GM's I am also here to make you an offer on behalf of Yukon, as I am their current AGM. We believe you'd fit in nicely with the organization and be happy with not only the playing time but the production, activity and overall success you are likely to find while on our team. If you need anything from me, I am always happy to provide as I mentioned above, and best of luck to you regardless of your decision today

Welcome @C4dynamite! Hope you enjoy your stay here in the VHL. I am currently the AGM of Yukon and I just wanted to not only welcome you to the league but extend an offer to you. We would currently be able to slot you in the top 9 for sure, likely top 6 with consistent activity right away and we're a fairly deep team. The draft just happened, but if you need anything at all please do not hesitate to ask me, I am fairly familiar with the site and would be happy to help. Again, welcome

VHLM.com caught up with Cup Winner and recently drafted Denver Wolfe, formerly of the Las Vegas Aces and currently a new member of the Minnesota Storm. Wolfe had never gotten to experience the draft as last season he was picked up as a waiver claim only five early games into the S64 season. When he was asked about the scenario and the experience of being drafted, he had this to say: "The experience was magical, it was unlike any other feeling you could ever feel. It was like taking a kid to Disney World or travelling as an adult to your "dream" destination. While I will be forever grateful for what Las Vegas had to give to me, and what I achieved with that team, I will now be even more grateful for the opportunity and desire to see Denver Wolfe in a Minnesota jersey. The fact that they praised me so much to select me 2nd overall means the team really seen something in me, and I'll make sure to repay the favor on the ice." As for his cup win? He had this to say: "When it comes to my successes with Las Vegas as I just mentioned, they will forever be #1 in my heart, they were the first team to take a chance on me, show me the ropes and introduce me to this league fully. Their staff took the time to train me, help me and guide me and it really lead to all the successes I found throughout my time in Las Vegas. Winning the cup was the best experience ever for a first-year player, and there is only up from here on out." Denver was happy to note that the VHL draft coming up later this week would also feature himself in it, he had no comment on that one just yet, leaving his opinions for after it actually transpired, but the smile on his face spoke all the words we needed to know he was excited for the upcoming festivities.

1) The VHLM draft is over! Are you happy with where you ended up? If you're graduating from the VHLM this season, how do you think your previous team did? -> I'm very happy with where I went. I would have loved to stay an Ace my whole VHLM career but it just wasn't the most viable option for me. Minnesota is a newly branded team and I am excited to become one of the faces of this remastered franchise, it looks like we did really good in the draft so we should be fairly steady. 2) If you were VHLM drafted or signed, are you happy with where you ended up? If you're going to be VHL drafted, where do you hope to end up? -> As mentioned above before, I was drafted VHLM, but I will also be drafted to the VHL come this Friday. That being said, I am very nervous for the opportunity, very nervous for the outcome and I have no idea where I am going to go. I have spoken to some GM's who have shown interest but there is a big difference between going 2nd overall in the minors versus 2nd overall in the majors, so I doubt I see that translation. 3) Now that we're done playing hockey for a little while, what is your player going to do to enjoy the offseason? -> I think just get back home, enjoy the time off but continue my training. I didn't get here by slacking off, I didn't get here by being lazy, so the level of intensity will continue right until the next season. 4) The Las Vegas Aces took the Founder's Cup this year, is there any message you'd like to pass along to the team (or your teammates, if you won)? -> I was happily apart of the winning team and it was an unreal experience. Jubo was an excellent GM and the team was just super active and supportive of one another. I am really going to miss that team but I will never forget the good times we had, blessings to Jubo and good luck to the Aces this season. 5) What's your #1 goal to hit this offseason, before heading into your next one? -> Just maximizing my training in order to be the best me I can be. I am going to put forth all the effort I need in order to be great and I hope everyone watching me takes notice, this is a big year for me. 6) What, or who, has been the most helpful resource in getting you familiar with the site/the league in general? -> I'd say there has been a lot of people that have paved the way for my success on this site and the league however I do give Jubo all the credit he deserves in steering me in the direction not only I wanted to go, but how I needed to go as well.

Las Vegas has been a scary team all season, they've had a lot of teams numbers and made sure to continue their dominance into the playoffs. In their first round, they made quick work of their opponents sweeping them which a lot of people would say "they seen coming", as Vegas had manhandled the opposing team prior in regular season many times, and while this left the opposing team crushed, it left all of the Vegas players with big smiles on their faces. This was because they knew they were headed into the finals and they only had one thing in mind...championship. Denver Wolfe of the Vegas team had this to say: "We wanted the title more than anyone else I believe this season. It's crazy to say but a lot of people had us as underdogs, had some teams ahead of us, and I heard mixed rumors and emotions coming into this season when I signed. I had a gut feeling Vegas was going all the way so I took little time to decide they'd be my destination, and it's likely one of the best decisions I've made." The team as a whole has performed exceptionally well, Denver has not really contributed on the offensive side of the puck but he's always said he's okay with that as long as somehow he's contributing with the winning atmosphere the team strives for, which he is. On the defensive side, he's well over 1 HIT/GAME and even contributing to the shot blocking on the ice. This is leading his team to some stellar chances causing some great goals to happen. All in all, the team is now 2-0 in the finals, looking to repeat a sweep that could secure them the cup. Stay tuned to see how the remainder of the cup season goes.

1) The finals are on, Vegas vs Halifax. Who's your pick and why? -> I am on Vegas, I am picking Vegas, we are going to win. Either you're with us, or against us, but trust me when I say, you want to be with us for this one, we're about to make history baby! 2) The VHL and VHLM draft are coming up this offseason. If you're getting drafted to the VHL this year, where do you hope you go? If you've already been drafted, what are you most looking forward to in the VHL? -> I'd be honored to pretty much go anywhere, this is my draft year and I feel like I am behind some of those that began this journey before me but even then, I am happy to be along for the ride. I've made great strides so I feel like anyone who is actually paying attention to the VHLM will notice my improvements. 3) With the offseason upon us, what's your player's favorite postseason activity? -> Heading home is always the goal during any time period I have off. I see my family from time to time but being so far away from them leaves some time unfortunately alone. 4) Looking back at this last season, what's one thing you're going to miss about the VHLM once you've moved up? -> I think just the atmosphere, Juniors/Minors are always different than the majors, there is a lot more pressure whereas down here, I feel like there is more guidance, more help along the way, etc, a lot to be said and done in the VHLM. It's not to say the opportunities won't be there in the VHL, however it's quite obvious we get more down here cause we need it. 5) Coaches always push for their players to "leave it all out on the ice." Do you feel like your player followed that mantra this season, or is there more to them that we have yet to see? -> I came into the league very behind, I've made great strides to perform the best I can with how little time I've had compared to some others in the league. I do feel like I left everything out on the ice however I always push myself to be better. I know there is more to me and I am hoping next season I will be able to showcase that as I have a full fun season down here before making the transition to the VHL. 6) Excluding the drafts and offseason tournament, what would you like to see the VHL host in the offseason in order to make it a little more fun? -> Maybe some competitions for TPE, everyone loves it, it seems to be everyone's major focus is becoming "the best" and trying to make strides to be better than their peers, so with that in mind, why not find new and creative ways to get people some TPE while being active among the community as well, best of both worlds.

As Denver Wolfe broke into the league, he saw himself handed many opportunities in which have really shown the true type of player Wolfe really is. He started off as a simple claimed player almost one month ago now and when he was picked up by his team, they were looking like one of the best teams in the league, and as the league progressed, as the team progressed, so did Wolfe, but while he wasn't contributing much offensively, he was showcasing his talents defensively just as he would have liked to. Because of this, but mostly because of how his team played, the Vegas Aces made it into the playoffs but not only did they make it, they won the whole league, staying in first place for seasons end. Now, with the season ended, Wolfe has one thing in mind...and it's not actually the playoffs, it's his future. "I've never been so frightened in my life..." Wolfe said... "Not only has the experience been there to play for the best team in the league, but this is just one slice of the cake. I've been so fortunate to play under such excellent leadership, guidance and just domination this year, but next year there is so much uncertainty. Not only am I going to be in the VHLM draft to finally call a team "mine" for the remainder of my VHLM career, but I am also going to find out which VHL franchise wants to take a shot at me. I came into this league behind, but I'm doing my best to come out ahead, and I am hoping that level of dedication can really catch their eyes." There is no telling what is going to come out of this, Wolfe does have the playoffs still to worry about, and we know his dedication is quite clear when it comes to following through a hopeful cup win, but Wolfe does have the concern constantly on his mind, until draft day where we find out just where...he'll be going.

Las Vegas Aces Press Conference

1. Who will win between Oslo and Saskatoon in the wildcard ? Oslo now that they have a new GM 2. Who will win between Halifax and Ottawa? Gotta go with Hali, they've been on our tails all season long, super strong team 3. Who is your pick for VHLM mvp? I'm going to go with Nathan N I think, good player. 4. If you could choose where the next VHLM franchise goes, where and what name? I would say Montreal because I am Bias, I know we just moved a VHL team out of QC but why not bring it back to the minors? Likely call it the Montreal ________ or Quebec _______ , no specifics on names. 5. How much have you paid attention to the VHL and what team surprised you most ? I really haven't and I hate to say it haha, but I've been so focused on the VHLM I really haven't kept my eyes peeled on any teams. 6. If you could make one change on the site what would it be Maybe navigation, clutter, I'd likely try to get rid of it and try to organize it in a way that makes it easier to find things, historical info, etc. -
Was fun to make

I'm the type of person who loves to see changes, additions and just stability being made to leagues I am in, whether GM or Player, so with the announcements that have happened around the league when it came to relocation, expansion and more in both the VHL and VHLM, it was really a sight I liked to see. With the additions and changes, my comments on the matter for what they are worth: VHL: Love the expansion idea, a Russian team is really sick, I love it, and I did see the research done where Russia previously had some ties to the VHL before so this was sick to see, I was super excited to see a Russian team, I love watching anything Russia IRL (IIHF, etc) they just have some mean squads. As for the relocation of Quebec to Vancouver, kind of bummed because of my IRL ties to Quebec however I mean Vancouver is kinda nice so we'll see how those changes do. VHLM: I will be in the VHLM for one more season next season so this was a cool change, two expansion teams being added brings even more versatility and fun to the league. We see Philly get a team which is actually kinda neat, I never really see Philly get much love but they are a good area and the logo is absolute sex, so I mean this would be a fun franchise to play for. As for the other expansion team Houston, also not too surprising, Texas is a huge market for so many things so to bring a team into Houston, smart move and the logo is also sex, real fire. Finally with expansion on the horizon, we also see Oslo move which is imo also a great image because their old GM was an idiot and to rid themselves of anything and everything he did was good riddance, Minnesota is also a more realistic area for a franchise especially when most of the other teams are all fairly "normal" places other than Yukon (wtf?) Yeah, seems like some good moves to move forward with epic progress in both leagues, excited to see where it goes from here!

Denver Wolfe's Presser

1. It's good, loving it down here, LV is poppin' and the lifestyle is wicked, I like it. 2. I would love to play with my current teammates in all honesty, active group, great group, amazing team, I could see myself being happy playing with any of them again next season or in the VHL in the future. 3. Salt and Vinegar, I like to burn off my taste buds y'know? 4. I do, I believe our GM has put together somewhat of a "super team" and because of this, we've for sure been on a tear, we had some losses recently but overall this team is a well-oiled machine. 5. I am hoping to end up around the top of my draft, I feel like all I've been doing is climbing, proving myself, hitting all my tasks for the week, being super active and chatting with a lot of people, my goal is to get my name out there as best I can. -
+10 TPE Denver Wolfe With this doubles week alone before claiming, I'll be at 111 TPE (submitted my weekly graphic + it's doubles for Theme Week) Cheers.

Figured with a name like Menace, they are not here to love, but to hate, hence the slogan ?

Las Vegas Aces Press Conference

Hey Aces, I have some questions for you guys! What Brand of skates do you use? Bauer anything, I am addicted to the brand, this is what I choose to use, and I will always stick by it. Why did you choose your player number? It represents something special to me, it's the age in which I learned my passion for hockey, and my love for the sport, since the age is so significant to me, I wear it every chance I get. What player do you use to represent your VHL/VHLM Player? Why did you choose them? Usually I use Claude Giroux because he's a redhead and being I am Irish in this representation, I felt he fit the bill despite being a real life French-Canadian player, just had to use him. What mythical creature do you wish existed? A manbearpig, because why the fuck not? Funny meme. What’s the funniest joke you know by heart? None, my soul is very dark, I do not know jokes off by heart, I usually just google them to make people laugh What’s the funniest VHL name you’ve heard of someone having? Honestly not really seen too many, haven't really cared about other teams if I'm being 100, I care about my Aces and that's about it, they are all that matters to me.
