1. Two Free Agency signings join the team: (LW) Grimgor Ironhide and (LW) Gianfranco Del Rocco. Do you believe that these two players will be enough for Malmo to make the playoffs this season? What do you actually mean by "...these two players will be enough..."? We are enough to win a bloody cup, we are that strong of a duo! VHL BE READY! 2. Today Training Camp opens up, 10 free TPE! Is there anything in the entire world that is better than free TPE? Only thing sweeter are tears of my opponents running down their pink cheeks after we have dominated them! 3. What is your favourite task to do to earn TPE? (Mine is clicking Welfare for 5 each week) To be honest, I love making a podcast with @Ahma - that man is a true legend and we have built a strong and lasting relationship through that podcast. Love him and love our podcast! 4. What is one goal for your player in S99? Score more goals? Make more hits? Dominate the game and finally get more than 100 points. Would be nice to combine that with at least 300 hits as at the end of the day, Grimgor is a goon. 5. Speaking of S99, which team(s) do you think looks to be the strongest heading into the new season? Malmo Nighthawks are easily number 1 by a mile. I don't think there are really teams that can combat our ability set and skils! 6. Game 1 will start on May 21, a little over a week from now. What is your player doing in these last few days before rejoining the team and getting ready for the season to start? Grimgor is currently in Norway, climbing mountains and figuring how people in Sweden have not yet conquered these Norwegians.

Alrighty, a simple question to ask, why would Grimgor Ironhide join Malmo? There are 2 sides to this. Firstly, it is quite a logical choice, Grimgor going into his last season wanted to leave a lasting impact on younglings and future superstars of this league. Seeing quite a few of them on Malmo, it was a chance to be a true mentor for players that need to see how a physical powerhouse can also be one of the best offensive players in the league. Cup chances might be lower but Grimgor doesn't care about shinies, he cares about brute force and destruction. Secondly, it was a nostalgia choice. Going to the team that I have very fond memories with as their GM seemed like an obvious choice, didn't really want to go to teams I had already played for. In the end, it came down to making a decision that could help me and give my player the best chance to get over that 100 point line that Grimgor has been riding so closely to for few seasons. To slightly add, nostalgia could have influenced me to join qutie a few other teams too, unsure though if any would feel as good as coming to Malmo. Is it a risky choice? Sure. Is it a fun one ? It is for me. At the end of the day, this is my first ever FA as a player. It felt good and yet I am already sure that I am going to take a completely different route with my next player. 8 seasons with one team, nothing else. Full Loyalty. 8 Season Contract with NTC. It will be fun, but now I am going to enjoy my last season with Grimgor, have been incredible fun, probably the most fun I've had with a player. Tops even Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms.

1. A big trade was announced this morning, S97 Hugh Neutron and S96 Draw Mac join the team. What are your thoughts on this trade? That is a really big trade. Massive. Like actually season influencing and just shows that the team is on the right path! 2. With our now massive core of young players on the roster, how many more seasons will we need to reach the playoffs? Will next season be the one? We are doing it. No questions about it! 3. What do you think Malmo now needs to add to our roster in order to feel "complete"? A top center? Another winger? We needed Grimgor Ironhide and maybe another player on the forward side. We are right there to show that Malmo Nighthawks can do a really good job! 4. NHL playoffs are now into the second round, which of the 8 teams remaining do you believe has the best chance of moving on to the Conference Finals? I think that Capitals are easily going to Conference Finals and quite possibly to the Stanley Cup Finals too! 5. Did you watch the NHL Draft Lottery last night? Anything that shocked you? Was your favourite team part of the lottery? Nothing shocked me at all. Probably the most boring event that NHL does. 6. Now into the first week of May, do you have any plans for this month? Is it just the same old, same old for you? Getting into the Election cycle's last month so it is heating up while also the End of the year tests and exams are getting in.

I agree with Grimgor not really deserving the award with Maverick there with those stats.

Now this... Is absolutely beautiful

1. We've made a ton of trades during this offseason! What do you think of the makeup of the team so far? We are da best! Absolutely da best! No better team to exist, when you have Grimgor Ironhide on your side. 2. If there were an area the team could improve upon, where would you want it to be? Offense, defense, or goaltending? Defense, we need big bodies on the Blue line, ones that can hit big numbers and dominate! 3. The Draft just happened and we picked up a ton of players! Who are you most excited to see in a Titans uniform down the line? Yeah, I happy to have that Darko guy on the team, hopefully he knows how to get us some nice drinks as he for sure needs time to get to our level! 4. We're quickly rising up through the power rankings in the EU Conference! What does a good season for the Titans look like to you? We are da best, no question about it! We have to be da best! I dare anyone to stay in our path! 5. If you could change one thing about the team or yourself, what would it be and why? Get more skill in fighting, have been losing my skills there quite a bit, need to show why I am da big boss! 6. Be honest, do you see the Titans winning the Cup this season? If you don't believe, get off da team, we have to dominate and be da team everyone with brain expects us to be! EUROPE, BE AFRAID!!!!!!

This right here is the biggest truth. I have had 10 years of sitting on this and while when I was 18 it didn't even hurt that much, there was rationality that I knew it could happen as my dad was 3 times a week attending dialysis and I knew anything could take it over the line, not to mention something as devastating as pneumonia can be. As the years went by the rationality went out of the window and the pain started. Heck, the fact that there is still hate (I have to add this: hate is rational as my dad was kept in the hospital for 11 days and started to receive any medication or help on the 10th when he was critical and moved to another larger hospital. Doctor who was attending to my dad in the new hospital said that if he had been brought in earlier, things could have been different) towards his attending doctor in our local hospital exists is a reminder of that every day. 10 years and the pain remains and grows. I blame myself as well as I went to visit him and didn't press him to change the hospital and move even though it was clear that nothing was being done. So there is that. Time doesn't heal anything, it can help mask the pain with happiness of other things coming into your life.

1. The new season starts soon. What goals do you have for your player? Grimgor will lead the team to playoffs and get to be easily a Top 5 player this season. Pushing for an MVP! 2. Where do you see us ending up? Easily either a wildcard spot and dominate against NA teams. We have what it takes to do massive things. 3. Are there any other players or teams you follow? I follow noone, I am getting followed as I am Da Great Green Menace, Grimgor Ironhide. 4. Eggnog: yes or no? What is Eggnog? Is it when you nudge eggs? I am confused. 5. What was your favorite Christmas present when you were a child? Orc children do not receive gifts, but I had a fantastic opportunity to have a duel against a goblin spider rider when I was 3, he was crushed between my knees. 6. What Christmas traditions does your player have? I gift my photos to young hockey players so I can start a Grimgor Ironhide cult.

To be fair, I didn't think I will write about anything but here I am. Firstly, have to say massive thanks to all my 3 GM's up to this point, Sam, Spartan and Alex for being absolute beauties. Couldn't have asked for a better group of GMs to have for my first 6 seasons of Ironhide's career. Now, being back in Helsinki, it will be a season where I think Grimgor will have to prove he can lead a team. Previously, in Helsinki it was a tough situation as Grimgor would have been and remained as the 2nd Liner for a while and it was not my goal, while in Moscow the idea was to play Grimgor as the 1st liner just didn't work. Davos was different and I had a chance to be a part of the group dedicated to the development of the roster and bringing in the new generation of Davos faithful. Now that journey is at an end and Grimgor has just signed a contract with Helsinki. I am in a bit of an interesting situation as I have a specific plan and goals but it is clear that much of that will be hard to achieve. From the point that I expected Grimgor to be my best player yet and, it clearly is the case to the fact that I hoped to achieve more on individual award level. I do fully understand how many amazing individuals there are creating brilliant players so a chance to receive an award in VHL is a tough job. But all that said, I am very happy with how Grimgor has turned out, he is a dominant player, he plays strong physical game and has impressed me with really solid goalscoring. I do have some expectations still and wouldn't mind winning a cup but it is not a massive priority. Fully focused on Helsinki now, will have to do a lot to win back fans that previously hated my departure. On the other hand, have had a really chill time being away from GMing and have enjoyed not having a responsibility to check VHL things daily. Still get drawn back to ideas that maybe I shouldn't have quit D.C. but every time ideas like that surface they get put back into a box as that sort of commitment is not for me. Also, hoping to get back on the feet on the emotional/mental state. Have had a really rough time and this has echoed my feelings 10 years ago when in February, while studying in 12th grade I lost my dad to pneumonia. It is actually crazy to think that it has been 10 years and I feel empty, lost and more or less disappointed with my choices. Have been thinking that I need to change things massively but there is no motivation for that change to happen. I am not fully sure what my wish would be but I do not feel that my current job at the school is where I belong having more and more of a pressure put on me. It is not burnout, I find school work fairly okay, it is just all together difficult to move forward. Not even sure why I am writing any of this here but I guess I just wanted to vent somewhere. Heck, the trip to US I had couple of weeks ago was a lifesaver as it gave me a chance to reset. Oh well. Well, that is it.
