1. We’re in the final stretch of the regular season! Where do you think we’ll finish in the EU? If we ain't 1st, we suck. We have Grimgor and Grimgor is blood and ruin. Green menace is here to help Purple Dynamo get all them W's, heck, he even got them 11 Wins just by himself, WAAAAAAGH! 2. Who should be considered our “Most Improved Player” this season? Grimgor Ironhide is always improving and iz da best of dem all weaklings! He iz da biggest of orcs. 3. Are there any stats you’d like to see in the portal or index that haven’t already been covered? Giveaways and Takeaways in general have to be added to STHS in a meaningful way. We need to see that to effectively analyse Two-way forwards. 4. Are you a part of any other sim leagues besides the VHL? No, Grimgor only likes hockey as that iz da biggest game out there. 5. What does your player do in their free time? Grimgor likes walks on the beach and blood of his enemies mixed in with stunty ale. 6. In your opinion, what is the most important part in making sure a sim league survives and thrives? Grimgor Ironhide is the answer to all your meaningless questions, he iz da biggest of men!

I have always wanted to try this approach where the team doesn't matter but only the player does and with Grimgor I have had a chance to experience exactly that. Right now, Grimgor is finishing his 5th season, last one before the depreciation hits and I will need to push to keep him as top notch as I can. However, the mindset of Grimgor is exactly what keeps me engaged. The point of Grimgor is: Individual success is everything, team success is nothing. For that, every season, I have given my GM a statistical goal that I am expecting to reach, not planning to disclose it out in the public but those demands basically mean that the GM has to figure out a way how to base their offence around me. If that is not happening or Grimgor's playing time is low, he will walk or even demand a trade OR quite possibly sit out the remainder of the season not playing a single game. It is a price to pay for having Grimgor on the team. Yes, Grimgor's approach can easily make the team suffer and even put team in a tough place, those incredibly loyal to their teams will look at this as a bit of an arsehole move but in general it is just something that fits Grimgor's character. He is not loyal, if we don't count loyalty to himself. He is fierce and very much ready to do everything for the team but the team has to do everything for him as well. One interesting point is that Grimgor, if he hits FA, will not care about team success (of course Grimgor just resigned with Davos for the upcoming season) but with 2 off-seasons after this one to go, there is still a chance that it might happen. Grimgor will care about his chance to be the BIG DOG, so he is very interested in signing with rebuilding teams that need one last push to get back into the wildcard spot, he might sign for a team that will give him all the PP and PK time while also playing him over 30 minutes per game. These all are just honest and simple demands. Cups are not his priority. If a team comes in and says "Hey, we have a championship roster and we need a 2nd line Winger" he will spit in their frail faces and move on to the next contender. 1 season contracts, to have a chance to evaluate himself going forward. I am quite sure that my next player will have a very similar if not even more aggressive approach of this mentality. That said, will probably still follow the mindset of a Fantasy character. Might just go to DnD Forgotten Realms or Exandria or heck, even my world to get that character idea from. Will see though, I am not sure yet. After all it is all still in progress, have 3 more seasons with Grimgor and his green menace to deal with. As of right now, Grimgor is entering his bloodrush era. New Grimgor records are a must. Nothing else matters.

Aww, @der meister you are a solid dude. Awesome individual. Have been my pleasure to be your GM! Also, it is quite interesting that you say GM Marshall Frostbeard. I always have gone with John Frostbeard (After my first player) however I always liked Marshall James Frostbeard the most.

Beardislava was one of my favourite experiences in the league. VHLE was a success at the core of it and I am really proud I had a chance to be a part of it when it was created.

1. As of Monday (August 19th), we are 23 games into the regular season! How do you feel about your player’s performance? Is it what you were expecting going into S95? Grimgor is doing quite well, however, I did expoect a bit more of a physical game from him this season. Point wise, I still hope to see him get close that 100 mark. 2. If you could add or change anything about the VHL, what would it be and why? I would abolish VHL and leave only VHLE and VHLM around, that is the best way to keep this league running. 3. In your opinion, what is the least important attribute overall in terms of building your player (besides LD)? Skating, it is for chumps. Skating only makes you take the puck around like a dog not willing to give the ball away to anyone, it is real wack. 4. If you had to choose one VHL player to build your franchise around, who would it be and why? Grimgor Ironhide. He is the GOAT. 5. If your player was a Jedi, what color lightsaber would they have? Red, not because he would align with Sith or any of the less positive figures but because it is Grimgor's favourite colour. 6. What is your most controversial sim league opinion? GM job is vastly overrated. It is 99.5% all about the players and GM is really just a placeholder who welds them together.
