Houston Bulls Press Conference
ThePerfectNut replied to mattyIceman's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. The team is all coming together! We now have 18 skaters and 2 goalies! What are your thoughts on the moves management has made? Amazing, to say that we started out with 5 players now we got 20. They really put in the effort and hopefully we can deliver a championship for them. 2. We clinched a playoff spot this past week! Where in the standings will we finish by the end of the season? (We are currently third). I'm hoping second place, but being 2nd or 3rd does not really change our matchup. 3. How has your player been doing? If you're a new player, what are your expectations for your player? He's been very inconsistent, but it's scary to see he his a PPG 30 goal scorer despite being inconsistent. 4. Mr. Minion @Minion, our beloved AGM, is throwing a birthday party. You're all invited! What will you bring as a present? A minion statue. 5. Todd Cooke is top 10 in forwards and Jani Karppinen is top 10 for defensemen for points. Will anyone else make the top 10 by the end of the season? I would say Weaver, but he's been inconsistent and quiet so I'm betting on our goalie instead. 6. Last but not least, what is your favourite day of the week and why? Saturday because I can sleep all day -
Episode 2 - Daniel Weaver SHOULD be a Malmo Nighthawks

Some changes that affect both the VHL and VHLE
ThePerfectNut replied to Acydburn's topic in Announcements
Damn I’m about to skip the VHLE entirely -
After learning that non-GM draftees have every right to dictate where they do or do not want to go in the draft and that I can't be filed with tampering. I decided to do this once more for some quick TPE yet again! So why should Daniel Weaver become a Malmo Nighthawks? One of the reasons is that contrary to the Seattle Bears, they have 3 first-round picks in the upcoming victory hockey league draft! Meaning the odds of Weaver playing for this franchise would become way higher. Malmo's own first-round pick will become a lottery pick since they are one of the worst this season. Not only that, but the other teams do not seem suitable places for a player like Daniel Weaver in this draft. Why? Prague does not have a goalie so picking Matt Murdock, the top-earner of our class is the only suitable option for them. Except if they already have some deal behind closed doors with a top free agency goalie next season? There are also a couple of more talented goalies in the draft so maybe they go for a top forward in the class and hope they can pick up a goalie later on, but I would pick Matt Murdock if I were them. Vancouver's defense looks a bit bad, so focusing on Phil Strasmore would make sense for them...right? He would already become their 2nd best d-men on the team and Phil himself has expressed that he does not want to play in the VHLE in the upcoming season. It's a win-win for both parties no matter what. There's a chance that the Los Angeles Stars could pick Daniel Weaver as a surprise, but my bets are that they select Henry Eagles since there's a lot of history behind the user of the player. They have all known each other for a long time and I would be shocked if they choose me over him. He will most likely have a good career because he is just that guy you know. What about the London United? Yeah no shot that the current General Manager is picking me up. If by some miracle he does, my ass will be in every trade package that he will be offering. New York Americans? Look, I don't have anything against the players on that team. The franchise is simply NOT the place to go. I wonder when will be the day they finally rebrand to a whole other team. They did produce some HOFs players, but most of them left that team when they had the chance. I mean come on, the last time they won a Continental Cup was in season 53!!!! That's damn 32 seasons ago!!!! Now there is Malmo. What if I slip down in the draft again? Listen I was the top earner coming into the draft once but got drafted 11th overall regardless. I'm hoping this will happen once again. I would draft John Jameson with their lottery pick and he will become the robin of Igor Molotov for many years to come then they can select Daniel Weaver with either of their other 1st rounds picks. (Praying that DCD AND Davos choke now, which one of them always does) That would be the dream draft for them to kick after losing their franchise player Druss Deathwalker. I would also pick a player like Tater Tottingham or Isamu Knievel (He's so active in the locker room and brings a lot of energy, totally recommended for the upcoming draft) in the draft with their other first-round picks. The question is why should Malmo go to all this trouble to select Daniel Weaver? My answer to that is... They will get a top earner for his first 3 seasons, trying to help the team make a playoff push. Anything can happen in the playoff so that's the goal. They lost a lot of their forward core depth and it's going to be hard to attract top since Igor Molotov is the only notable player on the team. Molotov is a playmaker, but he produces struggles points since he doesn't have a pure goal scorer by his side. Daniel Weaver can possibly become that pure goal scorer for him and it will enable him to finally have a break-out season. Malmo also is lacking a lot of picks in the upcoming 2 seasons, so drafting talents will be CRUCIAL for them in the upcoming draft! Malmo also will have to think about getting a talented goalie, they currently have a good duo, but they will fall off eventually. The d-core is also very questionable so maybe malmo should start trading their assets and turn them into possible future top 4 d-men in the future. If Malmo can play their cards right and grow a team up in a season. They can attract a couple of good forwards in the next free agency. The Malmo NIghthawks also have a General Manager and an assistant that I haven't heard about, so they could build good chemistry from the start. That team hasn't won any notable awards for a while so re-tooling should be the next step for them. Anyways, Daniel Weaver's dream is to wear the Seattle Bears jersey and win a Continental Cup for the franchise and possibly build a dynasty, but if he were to get drafted and play for the Malmo NIghthawks. He would be content and he will see how the team goes for at least 3 seasons and make a decision when the times comes for it. I just realized that I'm only short of around 60 words for 1000 TPE. Damn, the time really flew by by writing this all up. Yes, you guessed it. I'm trying ramp up the word counts right now! Do you get a problem with it? Too bad, can't do anything to stop me from writing right now. Okay this is weird, enough talking with myself. I'm at 1000 TPE now anyways. To conclude, don't take this as tampering! It is not meant to be taken seriously, or is it?

Daniel Weaver crashing in* 1. If you could rename the Victory Hockey League, what would you change its name to? Simply the Virutal Hockey League 2. Seattle has begun using personal goal songs for goal horns! What is your players' goal song? For sure We Ready 3. If you had to make a new award for the VHL, what would the award be? A Selke award. The Two Way award isn't really favoring any of the defensive stats, Selke would add in shot blocking, faceoff percentage, +/- and penality killing, 5. The VHL decides it needs a gimmick. Would you prefer bigger rinks to play on or smaller rinks? Bigger ice for more scoring and showcasing stick handling and speed. 7. The VHL decides it needs a gimmick part 2. Mini sticks or big pucks? Which would you choose? I would choose big pucks, harder to score and easier for the goalies. 9. The VHLM is expanding! Which two cities would you like to see be awarded a team? For sure need more canadien team in this so Montreal and/or Quebec should already be haivng a team right now

QUICK its VHL 15th brithday party, what food are you bring? Why? Pizza, who doesn't like pizza? 4. Favourite Birthday memory? Nevver celebrated my nirthday so I don't really have one. 5. If you could make one player join the Bulls, Who would it be?(Could be any player even one from the past) What do you think they would bring to the team? Luke Thornton and Daniel Weaver would of been a great pair of wingers alongside of each other. 6. With it being the playoff push what do you think we need to do to stay in the playoffs race? Get even better on defence and be more consistent because playoff consistency is the most important thing you can have. -

1. We’re a little over halfway through the season, how do you think the team is performing? Pretty good for a team that wasn't expected to be contenders at the start of the season. 2. How has your player been doing? He's been doing decent, some inconsistencies at times, but overall decent enough to not me a negative impact on the team. 3. Who has been the team MVP so far? Definetely the goalie. 4. What do we need to do more of to climb the standings? Everyone gettigng more tpe, especially our forwards. 5. What do we need to do less of? Quite not sure to be honest, maybe being lazy at times personally. 6. Do you prefer breakfast lunch or dinner? Why? Dinner cuz its the good things that's served -

Daniel Weaver 1st real week in the victory minor hockey league... Daniel Weaver has been enjoying life with the Houston Bulls. They got a lot of good restaurants in Houston and the fans are really supportive of the team. Weaver is excited to play with multiple people in his class like Brayden Albercht, Alex Ovechkinn II, Cash Aleksic, Jani Karppinen and Bill Nye The Puck Stopping Guy. We are really bonding as a team and we are happy that we are being view as underdogs this season and our chemistry will be our advantage over other teams. We are still hopping to sign 2 more forwards and d-men so we could fill out our roster space any time soon. Our lineup has been getting some Ws so far, but these last couple of games has been tough for us. Mainly because we always play the same god damn team each day aka the Las Vegas Aces. Our hope of getting 1st place is still in reach, but we need to grow as a team rapidly if we want a chance to beat them, but at least we are the 4th best team in the league and we would be second in the Eastern Conference by now. Daniel Weaver has been doing so-so for now. One issue he has is his inconsistency. One game he would score a hat trick and the next day he would be pointless. I'd personally be a point per game player instead of being good just for a couple of gamess. Hopefully he can go past that and become a more consistent player in the next couples of weeks if he wants to compete against the others top skaters in the league right now. Daniel Weaver is not in the top 10 for points so far due to his lack of playmaking to get assist, but he is 4th in scoring. Only a hat trick away from being first right now, which he already has two of them so far. 9 goals in 72 shots is quite decent, that is 12.50% so for every 8 shots, he would be scoring a goal. His goal would be almost a goal a game, but that sounds unreasonable but would be amazing to have as an achievement going into the season 85 victory hockey league entry draft. Daniel Weaver is also showing that he is a defensive presence, holding his own against other top lines in the league. He is showing that not only he can score goals against the best defenders and forwards in the league, but that he can hold his own on defence. His impressive showing should be promising for the rest of the season and hopefully he can keep it up. He's hoping that some victory hockey league teams is noticing him like the Seattle Bears and that he himself would make management decide to mover up on the draft to possibly get him and build around him in the future. Only time will tell, but until then... Go BULLS!
