  4. Daniel Weaver's amazing playoff showcase in the junior showcase tournament... Daniel Weaver showcased his potential at his fullest during the junior showcase. He had a decent start being right under a point per game but really turned it up near the end to secure his team first place in the tournament. For the semi-finals, Daniel Weaver absolutely went off and literally carried his team on his back. He really did everything he could to win the game by any means necessary. We matched up against Brigade which was the toughest team we faced during the regular games. In the first game, we won 4-3 with 3 goals in the third period so yes Brigade blew a 3-1 lead. Daniel Weaver was okay in this game with just an assist. All lines contributed to this game. Warriors are now up 1-0 in the series. In the second game, we won 8 to 5! It was really a scoring game. Daniel got two assists and goal one was from a power play, another on a penalty kill, and the goal later in the period! In the second period, he scored two more goals which secures him a hat trick! He got another assist in the third period which gives him 3 goals and two assists in a single game with a +4. You can really tell Weaver wants all the smoke and the Warriors are up 2-0. What can go wrong? In the third game, we lost 4-3 in overtime. We could not close it out at Brigade. Weaver had a goal and an assist with a +2, but he got scored the game-winning in overtime during a powerplay for the brigade. He had no stamina left in his tank. 2-1 lead for the Warriors. We can still do this right? In the fourth game, the Warriors looked exhausted during the whole game. They lose 3-1 and Weaver was the only scorer in this game. We can't blame the goalie because he has been amazing so far and made 31 saves in this game. His rival Hennry Eagles had two goals on him this game. 2-2, back to the Warriors stadium. Will the fan's cheers help us go over the hump? This was a win-or-go-home game, in the first period. Otis Boudreaux the captain scores his 4 goals in the semi-finals. In the second period, Daniel Weaver scores yet again for his 6th goal in the semi-finals in just 28 seconds into the period! The warriors are up 2-0 in the game, can they close it out? The answer is... The warriors took TEN STRAIGHT PENALTIES. This must be a record! Brigade scored twice within those 2 power plays... Daniel Weaver did all he could but playing 20 minutes on the penalty kill on 5vs4 or 5vs3. There's just so much he could do in his current young career. Then Cuyler May scored his second goal in the series for the game-winning series goal. This hurts a lot seeing this team collapse like this, but Weaver has learned a lot and is expecting to have a good VHLM season soon enough...
  5. Daniel Weaver's disappointing World Junior appearance... Daniel Weaver was quite excited to play in the world junior, but now he just had a traumatizing experience from it. He was selected to play for Team World in the tournament and he had the chance to play with players like Callem Murray who was a top 5 pick in the victory hockey league and Henry Eagles who he is competing with in the draft rankings. He was looking up to playing for his World team, but it was not what he expected. It's the first time that he wasn't really a key piece for a team which threw him off of his game. He went from playing 30 minutes a game with multiple responsibilities to 15 minutes and warming the bench for quite some period of time. He felt like he never had the chance to showcase his skills and that explains why his stats for the world junior is horrendous. He played a total of 9 games and he had ZERO points! Hear me out, he only shot once! ONCE! His role was basically to get on the ice and hold the puck as much as they can so that the top players can have a rest. Traumatizing and he hopes to forget this experience for the upcoming VHLM season. Now for the team, they won their first 4 games looking like the best world cup team ever and shit just went to the drain, we really choked and we need to be held accountable for it. We will be better next time! Until then, it's time for the VHLM draft for Daniel Weaver!

  7. 1. The San Diego Marlins are tied in their final series against the Las Vegas Aces as I write this, what does your player do to handle stressful situations like this? I'm not on that team, but I was on Miami. It was a dissapoiting series for us if I say so myself and my player was not contributing ennough to carry his team. 2. What is one thing you learned over the course of this season, VHL related or not? That the better team doesn't mean you'll be winning it all. 3. With the Mexico City Kings GM position being interviewed for, what do you think is the most important quality in a GM? Communication between the players is really key. 4. If you were to *hypothetically* win a championship, and had your day with the cup, what would you do? Have it watch me have some fun time with my wife all night with some wine in it. 5. If you could play for any VHLE team based off of branding alone who would it be? Vasteras Iron Eagles looks dope 6. I've spent a lot of time in front of various campfires this week, what is your favourite fireside snack? Froot Loops for sure
  8. Daniel Weaver Off-Season Daniel Weaver's off-season has been very busy so far... After a disappointing loss against Ottawa, Daniel Weaver went straight to Australia for some training with his older teammates. After a couple of weeks, he was invited to a tournament called the junior showcase tournament, the JST. He showcased a lot of improvement during the round-robin by being almost a point per game and he took a step FURTHER by being TWO points a game in the first round, but he, unfortunately, lost again in the first round. He is becoming better individually, but early on in his career. He can't get past that first round, it's something that will become very frustrating if this keeps up. He's hoping he can shrug it off and have significant success during his draft season. He needs all the points and wins he needs to be ranked over other prospects in his draft. After a month, he received another invitation. It's for the World Junior Showcase! Where the best young players can showcase their skills on the ice against their peers. Daniel Weaver is very lucky to be in it considering he is a class below most people in this tournament. I believe only a handful of people in his draft are going to compete. He won't have a big role like in the JST tournament, but he's hoping to learn from the other player on the team and take his next step into the VHLM season. Only time will tell...
  9. 1. The offseason is officially in full swing, what are you most excited for next season? The VHLM draft and see how high I get drafted for it because I'm gonna be at 200 for it easily. 2. It is almost draft season for the VHL, VHLE and VHLM! If you are eligible for a draft, what draft position range (1st-5th etc.) do you think you'll be drafted in? If not, how do you think you've risen or fallen in your draft class since your draft? I'm hoping at least 3. 3. The NHL Stanley Cup Finals are at hand! Avalanche or Lightning? Lightning in 6 please. 4. What is your favourite late-night snack? Froot Loops with milk.. 5. What is the best movie/ TV show etc. that you have watched recently? Tv show would be Squid Game recently. 6. Do you think of yourself as lucky? Do you even believe in luck? I'm not sure to be quite honest. Sometimes I am, sometimes no.

  13. After finishing his season in the Australian Hockey League, he receive a call from his agent and heard that a victory hockey league was interested to sign him on a contract for the remaining of this season. They believed that his skill set could help them to reach first place in their division and hopefully be a big factor in the upcoming playoff. Daniel Weaver took the first flight to Miami and met with the general manager, Ledge. They talked a lot about the league, the players, and everything he needed to know, and Weaver ended up agreeing to sign with them with a lot of optimism. He's one step closer to being in the victory hockey league. After meeting his teammates, visiting the arena, and learning the ropes of the minor league. His first game came, and he was playing on the second line and getting some ice-time in the period. He scored his very first goal in his very first shift on his second shot. It's a goal that he will remember for quite some time. Fast forward to the end of the season, he ended up playing 14 games and scored 6 goals. He got 10 points with a +3 while getting 21 hits. Those are decent stats for a rookie and it envies what he can become being the number 1 guy on the team. One thing he needs to work on is his defensive presence and his stick handling skills so that he can retain more possession of the puck and create plays for his teammates. 261 words
  14. The Junior Showcase Tournament for Daniel Weaver... I received an invitation once my team, the Miami Marauders got eliminated from the Victory Hockey Minor League in the playoff, for the junior showcase tournament. I did not hesitate to accept it because it's a great chance to play with my peers and other people around our league. They can teach me a thing or two for my draft entry season and I'm really motivated to showcase my skills as a rookie. I got drafted on the warriors by our general manager, AJ. A notable name on the team was Andrew Tate, a highly ranked defense-men in the upcoming draft. I'm already being played on the first line of the team, first-line power play, first-line penalty king, and even 3-vs-3 or 4-vs-4. I'm being used in any situation on the ice and quite a lot of ice-time. This will genuinely test Daniel Weaver's stamina and endurance and showcase if he can be at his best in a long period of time. In his first game against the Briga, Weaver already got a goal and assisted in a 5 to 2 win against them. That's a good start for him and his team but in the second game. He went pointless and the team lost 4 to 3 against the same team. In the third game, we won 5-2 in a nail-biter and Daniel Weaver received the game-winning goal. He had a goal and an assist. We can notice a trend here, when Weaver has a good game, the team wins so far. In another game against the Brigade and Daniel Weaver had less ice time due to condition issues. He still went out there and got an assist and the depth players on our team stepped up and we won the game 5 to 2. The warriors are on a winning streak, let's hope it continues... In the 5th game against the Steel. It was the first time we are playing against each other and we were not sure what to expect. It was a close game and Daniel Weaver got 2 assists in this game, which included the primary game-winning assist to Malachi Booth for a 3-2 win. The next game was against the Royals, Weaver had one assist, but we suffered our second loss in the season in a 2 to 3 score. Most of our games have been 1 goal games, competitiveh hockey has been displayed in this tournament. Our 7th game was a revenge game against the Warriors and we did just that. We won 2 to 0 and Daniel Weaver got another assist. The last game was at the mid-point of the tournament and it was against the steel. Weaver got another 1 goal and 1 assist game, but we lost in a SO, unfortunately. (Game 16) There are still a lot of games left, but from what we see out of Daniel Weaver. He can still produce points despite the fact that he's being used in every situation there is in hockey. He is an exceptional playmaker who can score occasionally. One thing he could become better at is his stick handling so that he can gain more possession time with the puck. We shall see what happens with the rest of the tournament.

  16. 1. How was this season for you? It was decent, not a dominant as Henry Eagles, but at least it was a decent average player stats. 2. Are you happy with how your player performed this season? I think he could be better, but it could have been way worst. 3. How about the team? I'm unhappy that we got bouce out the first round because I was expecting a lot more from this team. 4. Where do you see your player next season? I just want the best chances to be a VHLM champion. 5. If you had to change positions right now what position would you change to? I would be a defender since it seems it's the new meta now. 6. Who do you think is going to win the cups? Well we already know now lol but would of wished it was Miami
  17. Already closed? Fuck me
  18. My Victory Hockey Minor League Playoff so far... My first playoff series has been quite overwhelming for Daniel Weaver. After his crazy start of 5 straight goals with one each from 5 games, he was looking unstoppable for a couple of weeks until teams actually started analyzing and making strategies for him. After his 5 goals, he got a goal and 4 assists in 9 games. He has some trouble founding his spot in the power play and he had a couple of bad games defensively. He still tries to impact the game in other ways with 21 hits in 14 games and he has been very disciplined as a player. Now so far in the playoff, the team is down 3 to 2 and it's all been 1-goal games. Daniel Weaver only has 1 goal with 4 points in 5 games. The good thing is that he has been very solid defensively with a +6 in the series. He took a step back in physicality and has not had the mindset of a scorer yet. He is trying to do everything small so that the team can win games and make as less mistakes as possible. Miami is in a tight spot right now, but we believe that Daniel Weaver and the others have not lost any hope and will try to come back in this series. We expect to be better than this and we want to go far. Let's go Miami, this is not over yet. One game at a time! 254 words

  20. 1. The trade deadline has/ is about to pass/passed. How do you feel about our team? I joined the team at the trade deadline, it looks like a balanced team, we might need help on one of our defensive line tho. 2. What team in the VHLM do you think will be the biggest surprise throughout the remainder of the season? Miami because they will take first place in there division at the end when they were behind the whole season (Didn't actually happen tho rip) 3. What goaltender will complete the season the strongest? Our own Miami goalltender Art Vandelay 0.924 and 1.88 is insane stats. 4. What has your pass time looked like in Miami? It's been short, but the beach is really fun over here and a lot of good food 5. What movie character is most similar to your player? I like to say Wolverine, his resiliance is something to admire and tenacity. 6. Who in the league do you want to play with the most? Henry Eagles looks like a dynamic lienmate you'd want to play with
  21. The Journey of Appreciations begins, I have been here for around 2 years now and I took a break for around 6 months. It's been a really long and slow process for me in the VHL, but it was still quite enjoyable. I have had a lot of ups and downs in these, I am sure that I have a lot more enemies than friends in this, but regardless of that. I am still trying to get that double week TPE from the theme week so I do not have a choice. This appreciation post will start from the start, where it all started until what is happening now. It will go through all my players from Aleksander Rodriguez to Luke Thornton to now, Daniel Weaver, and all the people that were there on those different journeys. I'd like to appreciate and thanks Esso for being the very first manager to sign me into the VHLM with the Ottawa Lynx in season 66. I found pleasure doing this very early and it certainly kept me around for a bit. Afterward, I'd like to appreciate whoever was the TM of the Mexico City Kings, maybe it was Esso who got the expansion team at that time. I have a blank memory from those days, but he believed me and drafted me as a top pick in the VHLM draft. He built a team around me and we went into the playoff in our first season. We were a hot team until the VHLM management decided to play our backup goalie in the playoff. Fast forward to season 69 where FrostBeard was the only TM that signed me despite me being at my top toxic self at the time. He accepted me for who I am and thought that I could become a better man in the future. I'm sad that I did not win for Malmo at the time, but I appreciate everything he did for me. If it was not for him, I would have retired forever for a long time by now. In season 71, the great Banacock traded for me which was a shock at the time for me. We had our disagreements in the past, but we set aside our differences and ended up winning the Victory Cup. He is the one and only that really maxed out my player potential and made him a pure goal scorer a game in the playoff. Have not had that much success SINCE. Finally, for Rodriguez, I want to appreciate Spartan (I believe he was the TM at the time) that signed me near the end of my career believing that I could help their team for a playoff push. I'm already at 453 words wtf. Time to speed some things up. Now to Luke Thornton. I want to say thank you for Ricer getting me on that sick Miami team. It was easily the BEST LOCKER ROOM EVER. It was a fun day each and every single day and we had a group of guys pushing each other. Wish I could have that back. I appreciate you for making me have the best time I ever had in this site. Fast forward to the VHL draft, I was at the top of the TPE rankings but I fell to the 11 spots in the draft. I appreciate Jubis for giving me a chance and drafting me despite my toxic past. I'm very sad that I never got the chance to win a Victory Cup for the Calgary Wranglers, I was the captain but it was playoff disappointments after another each season. Lastly, I want to appreciate the great Banacock once again for trading me one again by believing that I could help Seattle win a victory cup again. We were close but I believe we lost in the finals that season. Maybe Daniel Weaver can actually get drafted to the Seattle Bears, hopefully...he will find his way over there though. That will be another appreciation from @Banackockcough cough 669 words
  22. I like the idea where instead of a podcast, you did it in words (like you mentionned in your Title). It's obviously well constructed and there wasn't any need of images in these sort ofmedia spots. It was also funny at times and we can found some intteresting stories between you and some members like you knowing Moon because you both like hunting. There was a couple of grammar mistakes, but not enough to make it not readable. All in all, it was enjoyable to read and the VHL should do more of these because we get to know how some people met and for what reasons they did. 8.8/10
