  1. Great season by Davis, congrats @Josh
  2. Looking forward to this one
  3. WE'RE THE FUCKING CHAMPIONS, HOW DOES IT FEEL?!?!?!?! Incredible. Winning the cup always feels great, but in a situation like this, with so many great teammates and as a part of a team that I've committed my long term future to, it's fantastic. I went over this a little bit in my (maybe react-farming) cup finals post but being on Chicago has been so much fun. Did you plan an offseason celebration? What does it consist of? Let's just say a lot of drinking and days off. I'm not good at details with these things. The squad is staying together for the upcoming season, do you think we have a shot to repeat? Absolutely we do. Whether or not we actually do it is another question. With Moscow rebuilding the landscape of the league is going to change a little bit and we'll have to see For your money, who deserves playoff MVP? Through gritted teeth, I will say that I am the most likely to win it, and I'll be very happy if I do. But I can't just name myself in good conscience. Oferson or Mingle would be a good pick, two leaders in goals, plus Oferson tied with Socks for the lead in points and Mingle lead the team in game winning goals. Of course, our first home game of s77 will be a "Raise the Banner" night. What kind of promotion should the stadium run to go alongside the occasion? I really like the idea that Quik brought up of replica rings. Maybe give out some bobbleheads of different key players holding the cup? If you could pick a goal song for the team, what would you choose? Link it if you can. Given Chicago's cultural relevance as a city and how long it's taken for the VHL to finally makes its way there, I feel like the goal song should be related to Chicago itself. Maybe Common - Chi-City? Fittingly enough I believe I mentioned this song in my first PC answers here so let's take it full circle.

  7. 3ppao collusion?
  8. Lahtinen for me. All worthy inclusions on the ballot, I considered Su and Davis pretty strongly but Lahtinen's stats were too good (although the PIMs nearly put me off).

  10. Let's fucking go!!!!!! Being a part of this team has honestly revived my interest in this league so much since coming back. I knew I wanted to end up on an expansion team with Camus, and luckily the S73 expansion happened right at the perfect time for me to end up here. I wasn't sure if I'd commit to this league long-term again but Chicago has been such a fantastic team to be a part of and has given me the opportunity to meet so many cool people in a time when it's hard to go anywhere in real life. This may honestly be my favorite cup that I've ever won. @JeffD @Blazzer @Quik @fishy @gorlab @Sonnet @Nykonax @Bobo @Kylrad @Spade18 @Eso WE DID IT
  11. (pleeeease 3-1 curse don't show up this time)
  12. Never got to make my way to Moscow but it's been great to see you active again and you've clearly built a great franchise/identity for the league.
  13. After their Cinderella run in the Season 75 playoffs, many wondered what would be next for the Chicago Phoenix. While they were losing a retiring Jeff Downey, most of the team was still young, with their primes still ahead of them. Would this become a building block for the future, or would it be the early peak of a team that could never quite reach their potential? Now that the Season 76 playoffs have arrived, it certainly seems to be the former. After finishing as the #1 seed in the North American Conference, the Phoenix first had a date with destiny in the conference semifinals. The Seattle Bears, the team Chicago had shockingly swept in last year’s wild card round, defeated Calgary in the wildcard round this season and were looking to turn the tables on the favored Phoenix. It was not to be, however, as Chicago would end up the victors after six games. The next test would be a team they’d never met before: the Vancouver Wolves, a perennial contender who had gotten their revenge on the DC Dragons from last season and the team Chicago had passed in the latter part of the season in order to take first place. Surprisingly, the series almost didn’t even seem to be close as Chicago cruised to the finals on a 4-0 sweep. Now, however, comes the moment of truth: the finals against the Warsaw Predators, a fellow S73 expansion team. The two teams have similar profiles, having both built through the draft in their early years before entering their window of contention by acquiring more experienced stars to complement the roster. Who will come out on top? Only time will tell.
  14. (canada missing out on two great goalies, smh)
  15. Game 1 was...unfortunate but I'll take a 1-1 sim I guess. It WOULD be nice to see some lower scoring games...
  16. Congrats LA!
  17. Congrats Warsaw! Looking forward to a good series (would've been fun to play Moscow too though). S73 goalie battle between Camus and Krishna
  18. 1. What's the best dream you've had? To be honest I don't remember many of my dreams, and I feel like I don't remember my good dreams fondly because I usually get sad when I wake up and realize that it wasn't real. And a lot of those good dreams are pretty simple and straightforward. I did have a really interesting dream a couple months ago where it felt like about 4-5 different dreams stitched together because things would just change dramatically. Like, one moment I was playing video games with one of my childhood friends, then we were walking through a forest trying to find something, then I was in a high school building with a bunch of people I went to school with, then we went on a field trip, and finally then there was someone trying to kidnap me. I wish I remembered more of this in detail, and I wouldn't consider it the "best" dream but I think it's interesting. 2. Do you believe in love at first sight? Not really. I mean, I'm not experienced enough with love to really answer this, but I have felt that initial attraction/interest in someone. And I can't imagine that's the same feeling as the love you feel for someone you've been with for a long time. Even if one does lead to another, I don't think they're the same feeling. Again, not experienced with this. 3. fishy has just ben hired as the new mod. Who should they ban first and why? All of the blue team except Quik, so Chicago can enact a coup and rig the league in our favor every season. Of course, if Quik doesn't want to go along with this he can be banned as well. (all jokes aside, congrats fishy!) 4. As a kid, would you beg your parents to use night lights? Or did you find comfort in the darkness? I was definitely a night light kid. I was always uncomfortable in the dark, I'd think there would be something or someone there that I couldn't see. Nowadays I'm definitely comfortable in the dark, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable in, like, pitch black darkness. 5. What are our odds of winning the cup right now? Well I don't know who STHS would favor between us and Warsaw/Moscow so I guess I'll just say 50/50? It's more fun that way when you're not sure. 6. How many brooms did you take out for the purpose of sweeping Vanpoover? Four, for each of the games that we'd win.
  19. BIG 2-0 lead, let’s keep this going!
  20. Warsaw!
  21. CHICAGOOOOO Good series Seattle, was really nervous after those first two 1-1 sims. Hey Vancouver
