  1. WoW So the VHL has announced they’re expanded still no news on Boubabi though. So that being said I’ll have three cities on what I think we should expand/ add on to the VHL. So that being said I will also add a city that I think we should not do at all so hold that in. So crediting that it’s the Boubabi lover and let’s get into this one. NA - good cities San Jose - So I’ve seen people say that we should add Los Angeles, but that’s a fucking stupid idea (if you’re reading I meant that). San Jose is much more of a hockey city than LA. On that fact LA is much more of a basketball city or even Football (American for that matter). So if you’re going California While sales might be a bit higher you’ll have more fans and people who care about games instead of Justin Bieber doing a skate around at games. So San Jose is a W for me. St Johns - If you want a fresh start go to an irrelevant place that nobody wants to go to turn St Johns into a hockey place all they have is the ECHL and the CHL. While this place might seem boring it’s a clean slate and should be a place that the VHL could turn into an exciting one. I mean you gave Yukon a team why not St Johns. Or you can just leave New Foundland and Labrador screaming internally. Oregon - I know you can call me lazy cause this pretty much @JeffD's idea. In my idea it doesn’t even have to be Oregon since there is already a city in there named the trailblazers. So the Oregon trail is a bit off. Though seriously Portland and Oregon don’t get enough love as they should. It’s right next to Seattle, and if they pick up a good pace they could end up being long time rivals. I don’t think anybody would mind seeing hardware in Oregon as well. EU Amsterdam - I can’t say a ton on Amsterdam. Though I have a feeling that it would be a great hockey city. They’re apart of the IIHF program and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind joining the VHL association at all. Keep in mind they are known for soccer I know that for a fact. Yet we still gave Houston a hockey team so why the hell not Amsterdam. Luxembourg - This would be a perfect idea. Something to cheer both Luxembourg and Amsterdam after tornadoes recently struck the two cities. It would be a nice idea for the Luxembourg fans who love hockey. The team would get a good amount of fans to sell tickets. I recommend the team placing the arena a bit far away from the city in case of a tornado. Paris - The city of love such a perfect place for the a team. As you know Montreal is a French city more or less (origin wise). So you’d think some of that hockey love had to originate from the French while you could say the other Canadian provinces/territorys play a bigger role you could be possible right. Nonetheless even if your fans from Paris don’t show up, you still have a shit ton of tourists. I mean you’re gonna have a lot of bank as well considering the fact you’ll most likely have a French or French-Canadian player. Overall a great place to start. So the cities you shouldn’t add to are New York and anywhere in the Czech Republic. Not gonna go on a rant though. That being said unban @boubabi

  11. Player/Rookie Profile Name: Lars-Erik Ganoon Age: 16 years of age P.O.B: Lund, Sweden Position: Defensemen Season: 69 Height/Weight: 6'2/177lb PROS Defense: Just like any Defensemen Ganoon has a knack for playing good defensemen. While comparing him to most defensemen who are more offensive Ganoon looks really talented on defensemen. He can get a decent amount of Takeaways which can lead to breakaways in key moments. While he still needs to learn to master his defensive abilities it seems he has it on lockdown for now. Speaking of lockdown even when Ganoon can’t always get takeaways, checks, and shot blocks in, he can always seem to find a knack to position himself near perfection against the opposition. This is a key skill to any defensemen that wants to become a star one day. A key that should be utilized no matter the moment. Skating: Ganoon is the near opposite of a choppy skater. While he’s not always the fastest he can always be seen making smooth turns, and overall prove that defensemen can be the best skaters in the league even the stay-at-home prototype. He can make his skating into nearly a visionary, he can make a turn look like a sharp angle. He’s put many people in his home nation of Sweden of his awe due to his skating ability. This might be seen as a skill that a player should have, but doesn’t need to be polished. However Goonan thinks every player should master their skating to perfection whether they’re Wayne Gretzky or Milan Lucic. Playmaking: Whether from Dekes and Dangles to Amazing Passing Ganoon can really master the art of playmaking in his VHL years. He can handle the puck well enough to keep a winger off of him. While he doesn’t have the handlings to get a guy like Teemu Lehtinen, Sigard Gunnar, Berocka Sundqvist, and that’s just to name a few, he definitely has the potential to have amazing puck handling. Now to talk about his passing. While Ganoon seems like a stay at home Defensemen, he can also play a decent role on offense. He can make a hard pass and a tape to tape pass. While he struggles to make saucers its still a good start for a player who wants do develop his offensive game. CONS Checking: I’m sure you’re confused why he’s a stay at home Defensemen with no checking abilities. It’s because growing up he never developed that sense of checking as an important job for him. He maybe be able to the Forward a push, but he never has been known for his aggression. He hopes that one day under the right GM he’ll develop this skill and be able to get a good amount of checks in a season. While he shows promise for now we will have to check this down as a weakness. Shooting: While Ganoon does have an excuse for being a Defensemen this is still something teams look forward to if their defensemen can put the puck in the net. If he has a Booming slapshot to tie the game, that scares the opposition or goalie, does he have a knack for scoring goals on the PP and on the 5v5. While this is a skill to develop it is definitely a strong weakness nonetheless. Strength: This doesn’t pertain to his balance after taking a hit but strength overall. He very much lacks the strength of a normal defensemen. While he’s young and will be hitting the gym more often he hopes to gain a good amount of strength. He says he will never take cocaine steroids unlike @Beaviss (Zyzz).
  12. Oooh that’s nice.

  15. The Life of a Legend Goonan was born 16 years ago on March 8th. He was born in Lund, Sweden to a beer hockey legend working farming family. He grew up in a remote area, but always knew there was something besides farming that he could be good at. He would constantly happen to develop a growth of unknown speed which helped him in many things moving into the future. Lars-Erik was a strange child to his family being the 2nd youngest out of 8 children all which where boys he was the only one who didn’t enjoy farm work. For most of his life he slept near animals until his family could afford money. He doesn’t talk much about his mother so much is unknown about her to this day. His interest of finding something he could be passionate about grew very strong. He didn’t always think of anything else. The thought took a while till he figured out what he would do. Lars-Erik didn’t think much about this after a while giving the idea up until he stumbled upon arts which he found fascinating. He didn’t enjoy it after practicing for a month and gave up on it. Then he had an idea to look up the best sports in the world. It would take a while to find for him since most sports in Sweden that are well known are Soccer/Football, Golf, Gymnastics, and Tennis. Then he saw it Ice Hockye he wasn’t familiar with the term so he took a deep dive and he found his greatest passion on the face of a screen. He saved up after months and bought gear good enough to be used. More scoring less Goon Lars started and still to this day plays the position as a defensemen he has been known as a TWD but fits the style more of a DFD. He hasn’t however been known as an enforcer or anything close to an enforcer. While he could tally up a decent amount of hits he wasn’t known for getting out there for fights. Wasn’t known protecting most of his teammates and keeping a much cleaner game. Of course this could be used to gain a good reputation but it also made Lars-Erik made fun of the other kids who thought a defensemen some coaches called great was just a wuss and couldn’t make any pro league. He took this in for motivation in his life and remembers why he should keep going. Lars continued to impress constantly being a point per game defensemen. He also seemed to work on enlightening the mod when farming with his family and realized sometimes even though it’s not the greatest thing ever, you should always try to make the best of things. He followed this rule that he uses in life in key situations. He has always constantly thought to himself that you can’t be positive about something you hate, but this changed his mind. In a good way of course. This goes to show that you can develop as a player and a human being using one key. To put it into an example for instance if Goonan was having a terrible game even though he can’t make the game perfect all of the sudden he can still have a good/half decent attitude about it. Lars at first really didn’t have a high belief on hockey being his true talent as he did now. Then he realized he had a knack for being a great hockey player. Of course he realized the hard work and even harder task ahead of him. Yet he realized this was his dream, if he wanted to accomplish his dream he’d have to surpass the expectations do what it takes if it’s not illegal, and make his way to the top one day. One step at a time. If many other people could achieve his dream why can’t he is what he thought to himself, and he knew he could eventually reach the extremely hard yet achievable mark. We're getting close to the end Lars-Erik has surely down throughout these few years. For nearly every season he had played an organized season of hockey he had donned the C on his jersey and wore it proudly. He had grown into a solid frame by the age 13 at 5'10 and 145 lbs. Still not a physical threat, but good enough to look like a hockey player. He had matured over the years and looked closer to his dreams then ever. He was already projected to be a top prospect for any league that he would choose to join whether the NHL, SHL, KHL, GOMHL, the other SHL, and the VHL. He was clearly a hit or miss prospect though, and he still thought it was a great chance for himself and whoever drafted him. Lars at this point had his eyes sent on the SHL, NHL, and VHL. He knew he had to make a decision so he crossed out the SHL and chose to ignore it. He decided he could just wait another year or so seeing vhl eligibility starts at 16 the age he was approaching given 3 years. Time passed on he was proving himself on the ice that he could take down some of the best prospects that he could face in his country of Sweden. As time passed he realized he didn’t have to think of his dream because at this point it had become reality. Even if he had a major injury he could still easily be a mid round pick and show potential to a franchise. By this time 2 years had ended and he was 15. He had posted on social media that he’d declare for the VHLM once eligible of age. The Decision For The people questioning why the other section isn’t called the decision you’ll see soon. The time had come the news arrived that he was eligible and VHLM GMs where notified the first offer that Lars saw was Las Vegas where he would get first pair minutes. He quickly accepted and took the 1.5 million dollars. His road to hockey is coming to a near end. He has yet to make his VHLM debut, but it will be some time soon. That is the end for the story.
