  1. Thanks... Looks Great and Makes Perfect Sense... This guy was on the Wranglers, Pens and Knights... 3 of my favorites! Yeah he was on the Flames but they can F Off LOL
  2. (529 TPE) The Mexico City Kings were riding high at the end of their inaugural season. All prepped up for a showdown with the Saskatoon Wild. Somehow or someway the General Manager for the Kings fumbles the ball and doesn't get the lines into the simmers in time. So what do the simmers do? They just run it. Maybe they didn't look but it is hard to believe that they didn't know that the Mexico City Kings were running odd lines and to make it worse they took out their Star Goaltender for Mexi-G?? F'ing Mexi-G and the simmers just laugh at the screw up instead of trying to protect their league in a way that is beneficial for the minor league players and organization. I know if I was a simmer and seen some mistake like that I would have to hold up the process and notify GMs or HO in some way or another. No way in the world am I going to sim a game with the Computer Goalie for any team no matter what the rules state. One would think that the league would want to protect this sort of blunder. Of course some would think or say that a team could come back from down 0-2 but we all know that after being down 0-2 it is virtually over. I certainly understand win at all costs but do you really want to win a game or series like that!? It turns out that Fate or SimonT got revenge for the Kings as the Wild met their demise against the Philadelphia Reapers. The Grim Reaper certainly showed up on their doorstep and took his pound of flesh for such an erroneous action. Now the Kings look toward the draft as they are about to be dismantled from the upcoming VHL Draft. Many players seem to want to stay go to Esso's team the New York Americans. Didn't Esso set up the Ottawa Lynx? Anyways, the point is it appears that many players want to go to rebuild the Americans with Esso leading the way! Derek England could care less who he plays for in retrospect. He certainly is pissed off about the fumble in the first round of the playoffs by the Kings but nothing can be done at this time. Of course he is a professional and will play for the Kings if need be. If he has to go right to the VHL and play in his second season he would do that as well. A mention of him going to Moscow peeked his interest as that would bring him back to his homeland, Mother Russia. However it does appear that the team is in a rebuild state as well. Either way, England stays low key and tries to earn as much as TPE as possible as he moves on in his young career. It appears that the offseason is a gold mine to earn extra TPE. England will be gaining 17 TPE from that one opportunity. The max was 20 so only missing 3 isn't too bad. Hopefully he can earn some extra cash and TPE along the way before the next season starts.
  3. Interesting read... seems half the leagues GMs could be in trouble of losing their position! Tough racket this VHL!!
  4. (303 Word Count) In this short article we will be discussing the thoughts of our most lucrative Star Defenseman Derek England. We have many players in our agency but recently this one has been our main focus and for lack of better words our best earner. One major focus for Derek England in the upcoming draft is going to be money. He is basically broke and needs millions to use in the VHL Player Store. In his first season he only garnered 2.5 Million. 1.5 was from his contract that Mexico didn't even bother issuing him. It took Derek a few weeks to realize that he was able to claim it and that he could make a cash donation to the league to garner TPE. Some of this was his agent, PenKnights, fault but not entirely. Eventually 3 or 4 weeks into the season England figured it out and claimed the contract money along with a donation which garnered him a massive TPE boost and an extra Million in the bank. He used the money to get more TPE and do a one time Redistribution of TPE which helped tremendously. Derek England is looking forward to the Draft and all the hype that surrounds a new player when they get invited to a new Discord Locker Room. England hasn't bothered any teams and has been mostly quiet just earning as much TPE as he can throughout his true Rookie Season which is a First Generation Rookie Season. Recently he read an article that place him going in the second round to Moscow. Of course this is music to England's ears as he could get back to his home country Russia and away from all the Burritos and Chiimichangas of Mexico City. To be honest, he told us that the food is messing with his digestion!
  5. Are you ready for Ottawa? How many games do you think the series will go? Are you focused on an offensive game or more so defensive? Any thoughts on the upcoming draft for the VHLM? Thoughts on the VHL Draft? Dogs or Cats? Favorite Color? Favorite pre game meal? Do you ever miss an early morning skate? Would you rather play at home or away?
  6. 7. @Sullvino Oh Yes... Get me out of Mexico and back to Mother Russia!!!!
  8. Derek England Defense Points 59/7 = 8 .4 Shots Blocked 109/20 = 5.4 8.4 + 5.4 + 3 = 16.8 (round up) = 17 Total Points Claimed Derek England Player Page
  9. Oh really?? I completely disagree. The Wild were completely given 2 games for free with Mexi-G in goal. It is not only "not interesting" it is over. Hopefully, safeguards will be put into place so that clear mistakes such as this can be caught before auto sim. So glad to contribute 20 dollars to the cause like many of my teammates. Don't worry though I will continue to be a sucker and donate funds.
  10. Yeah... looking back at my VHL Article and Media Spot they are both about the playoffs. One is already titled Playoff Push so I don't think I need to write another one. Just claim the double TPE which would be 6 and 2 if I am understanding this? So just claim it under Other and list Theme Week as the Reason?
  11. @Quik So I wrote my regular 500 - 600 word Media Spot earlier this week and claimed it. Now you are saying I can write a Media Spot about the playoffs that is 500 - 600 words. I can claim a doubles week 6 TPE for the week ending 6/23/19 and next week use the article for my main media 6 TPE?? I am pretty sure my Media Spot was about the Playoffs anyways this week just by sheer coincidence... So I probably don't need to write another one just claim the doubles week??
  12. (539 Word Count) A Crown Of Thorns General Management and Staff for the Mexico City Kings have been crunching the numbers and agree on trying to avoid a first round showdown with the Saskatoon Wild. Reports have been coming in that they would rather play this team in the later rounds in hopes of the Wild getting knocked out. I certainly, do not understand the strategy but statistics have proved that the Kings struggle against this team more than any other team in the league. It appears the Wild are in the heads of the organization of the Kings from the top to the bottom. All you hear on the streets of Mexico is how everyone doesn't want to play the Wild! I say hooey. Bring on the Wild as it is about time for the tables to turn and the Kings to get hot! This idea of jinx or bad luck is just that... a bad idea. Although these type of things run rampant in our league and with players from a very early age, it is proven that numbers never lie and the numbers have never backed up some sort of voodoo on any team in any sport. Only one game is left in the season and it looks like the Kings have an outside chance of meeting the Saskatoon Wild in the first round. The Kings will be playing the lowly Houston Bulls, for their last game and it is near impossible to lose to the Houston Bulls this year. The Bulls could pull off the upset since they are on Home Ice but I highly doubt it. The Mexico City Kings are tied with the Mississauga Hounds, another expansion team, for 5th place. The two teams have identical records but the Hounds hold the tie breaker with a better goal differential. Mississauga plays the Minnesota Storm in their next contest and it will be the much more difficult game. They also get to play Philly in their last contest as they have a game in hand compared to Mexico. Saskatoon is locked into the fourth seed so whoever gets fifth will play that team. The Hounds would have to lose their next two games and have Mexico win their last to have a change in the standings. The odds favor the Kings to play Halifax for the first round and in either case we will be looking forward to the Kings first ever playoff series that hopefully will end in a win! Halifax appears to be the stronger team but as stated before the management of Mexico has their sights on trying not to go up against Saskatoon. All playoff games will be held indoors but it would be a nice change of pace if they could one day play in the outdoor rink pictured above. At this time of year that would be impossible but with the grueling schedule of the VHLM it isn't unthinkable in the winter months. The VHLM should be in season 67 or 68 when the conditions would be perfect. Although an interesting concept and idea it would most likely be unfeasible not to mention it might actually cost the Kings money compared to gaining. Either way, one thing is for sure, Hockey is here to stay!
  13. (255 Word Count) Playoff Push The Kings have made some progress near the end of the season. They only have 3 games left and have moved up to sixth in the standings. Management has been trying to avoid a first round showdown with the Saskatoon Wild. However, these two teams could be on a collision course if things break perfect. The Wild are not going to fall out of fourth place but they could move up to third. The same holds true for the Kings, although they could fall to seventh in the standings. One very possible outcome could be that the Wild finish fourth and the Kings finish fifth which would set them right up for the first round match up. The fans of both organizations would love to see the contest as they do not have much love for one another. Mexico City is brand new to hockey but the people have fallen in love with the sport and can't wait to pack the arena for their first ever playoffs. Time will tell and we wish both teams success! Derek England has really found his game lately and moved up to ninth in the defensive leaders for the league. Reports have shown that he has been working on discipline as he has the most penalty minutes compared to any other player on the Kings. When asked about it he told us that he had a very slow start to the season but has almost reached the TPE cap so expect better play as we head to the playoffs!
  14. 1. Are you excited for the upcoming playoffs? 2. Did you accomplish your season goals? 3. How impressed are you with Hulk Hogan? 4. Can Hulk Hogan sustain these numbers next year? 5. Do you expect a Finals Appearance? 6. Do you have any prospects in the next draft? 7. How many players will you lose to the VHL next season? 8. How happy are the GMs with this team? 9. Any locker room problems with the players? 10. Do you think anyone will be traded in the offseason?
  15. An Unknown Player (615 Word Count) A virtual unknown player, Derek England, has landed in Mexico City and is playing defense for the Kings in his rookie season. He had a slow start, as did the Kings but recently he is on the rise when it comes to his stock in the '67 VHL Draft that is a far way off. It isn't too early to take a look at his progress and give the VHL GMs a heads up of this rising d-man! The big jump happened after his donation went through and he garnered 42 TPE in one week! So let us take a look at what he has done so far this season in the way of TPE earnings. His first week was a bit slow, as he missed out on some of the Early Bird activities, like getting a sponsor and earning some cash. He was busy in Oryol Russia, playing in what most would consider a Beer League and got rushed to the Draft. He told us recently that he missed playing for the Oryol Wranlgers but it was time to make his mark in the best Sim League on the planet. So the first week was slow going as it appeared he had time to garner the extra TPE before the actual start of the season. He only gained 12 TPE total and 10 TPE was capped. This was an unfortunate 2 TPE miss as he was still learning the ropes. It appears that Super Agent was a bit busy and dropped the ball teaching him that he could do weekly reviews to gain that extra Capped TPE. Lesson learned later in the season and Derek has put his PR Team on the job! So the next week, the week ending, May 5th was a much better week in the way of TPE. Derek was able to earn 31 Total with the addition of the Rookie Profile and Biography. However, he yet again only gained 10 Capped TPE missing out on another 2! This would bring his loss up to 4 so far in his early career. The same news for the next week as he gained 12 Total but missed out on another 2. This brings his missed opportunities up to 6! The next week was the big jump! The week ending on May 26th he found the information on the donation TPE!! Now he earned 42 and since Trivia started he finally capped out at the 12 possible Cap Rate. He was on a roll now and the next week followed up with another Capped 12 max along with banked doubles weeks which gave him 22 TPE earned when it was all said and done. This brings us to his last week of earnings in his 7 week career. He had his last doubles week claim and he made sure to get it in. He garnered another 22 TPE making it back to back weeks of 22! So this was 86 TPE earned in 3 short weeks which is a monster jump in the Draft Race. The last we seen Derek has been hovering around 20 on the list and should finish above the 200 Cap before the end of the season. It should be noted that he completely skipped the week ending on May 12th costing him a possible 14 TPE. This was due to fatigue but that brings us to a 20 TPE total that he missed and this would of put him at 191 Total TPE going into this week which would of been nice. He has stated that he regrets missing out on the 20 TPE but has his mind set of not missing any more down the road.
  16. 1. It seems you have a strong LR presence in MCK... what do you think of the LR so far this season? 2. Are you happy with your player build? 3. Do you think you will be performing better late in the season? 4. What would you change about the MCK Strategy on the ice? 5. How do you feel about the Kings falling to 7th place? 6. What changes do you think the Kings can make down the stretch? 7. Burrito or Taco? 8. Any thoughts on the VHL Draft? 9. What is it like playing in a country that only cares about Soccer and Bull Fighting? 10. What is your favorite Tequila?
  17. Fatigue Setting In We are back, yet again, with an update of the Mexico City Kings. The Kings have dipped to seventh in the standings and continue to fight an uphill battle. The players are training hard and earning the important TPE that is available each week but for some reason keep splitting games. A cluster of Shootout Wins and Losses doesn't help the cause as the teams above them keep earning the important points to say ahead in the race. Derek England keeps his mantra going to the coaches and general management... "Just get us to the Playoffs" he preaches. "Once we get to the Playoffs, it's a whole new ballgame!" If the Kings continue spinning their wheels it appears they might finish where they are which is seventh. The good news is they should be a lock to make the playoffs very soon and they have a 14 point lead over the 8th place Storm. They also have a lock with a 35 point lead over Las Vegas who is in turmoil and recently had to make a GM change due to the inevitable Real Life! Recently, the Kings picked up Left Winger: Teemu Lehtinen Jr. A former player who took some time off but is ready to get back into the Sim Life. In a very short time he has pushed up to 62 and has been a constant presence in the locker room pumping the team up and scrounging for every TPE opportunity. Junior learned everything from his old man Teemu Lehtinen but according to scouting reports is actually a better player. The apple just doesn't fall to far from the tree as they say! We will be looking forward to his progress and we hope to update you on the news in the coming weeks. Go Kings!
  18. I don't think you need to copy to figure out the best odds. If you are worried about too many people winning we should up the amount of games. If you make it 6 or 8 games to pick it will be much harder to have so many winners. Everyone is just picking the favorites. If you really want to make 4 games impossible... force them to use a Puck Line! Better yet make them predict the final score of all 4 games to win... that will be much more difficult. Either way... not my call... just an observation.
  19. No clue what is going on but sign me up!
  20. I am very new to the site but I would love to take over Vegas. I live in Vegas so I would really get into this team and have a ton of fun with it. I am new to this sort of game and have to learn everything but am a very quik learner at complexity such as a GM. If not the GM this go around perhaps a co-GM to learn the ropes. Of course if not this time... perhaps in the future. I am curious of playing for a team and GMing a team in the same league. Seems like it would be some sort of conflict.
  21. 2 Toronto Legion @ Calgary Wranglers 3
  22. 295 Helsinki Titans @ Malmo Nighthawks 296 Toronto Legion @ Calgary Wranglers 297 New York Americans @ Helsinki Titans 298 Riga Reign @ Moscow Menace
  23. Review 1 Plenty of word count over 576! I really liked the style of humor and education about Boris the Forest! I did find it a strange combination of Blackpink mixed with Clint Eastwood! Not sure Eastwood would approve of this K-Pop Group LOL! Let us get that Skating up and moved into a Pro instead of a Con! The Kings Need You!! GO MCK!!
