  1. A few weeks ago if you had asked the rookie defender if he was going to be a captian in his rookie season. He would tell you your crazy. Just a few weeks earlier he was an unkown name a guy that people would have doubted made any kind of impact in the VHL. Fast forward now 10 games into the season Komarov has been a shinning star on the back end. Among the league leader in hits, shots blocked, an PIMs, well amassing 10 points. Now named captian Komarov is leading well by example on an off the ice. Hes rather quiet in the media due to his need of a translator. One thing is clear though despite not being very vocal its clear hes become a leader for the young squad. His work on the ice has insipred his team to currently be tied for first in the european confrence. This is an incredible feat for a team that was counted out by many an considered a lock for one of the worst teams in the league.
  2. Wait till Komarov enters the VHL be first HOF Goon
  3. My dream women an ive met her in person a few times.(yes im actually russian) now live in Canada
  4. Shame ur too young night life there is the bomb i dont live too far from it. There is the biodome which is alot of fun too. Bell Center is crazy(though i find european arenas espcially between rivals can get crazy). Unfortunately its not hockey season
  5. Im Honoured and suprised to lead this team hopefully i can live up to the role
  6. Komarov helps lead Oslo Komarov fresh off a super cup victory came to Oslo with a confidence that has helped lift his play to a high level. His play has been everything that was advertised so far, he leads his team in hits, shots blocked, and PIMs. Every time hes on the ice hes making an impact an he has not been afraid to play a big game an get his hands dirty. At the beginning of the year had you asked the Storm if they would be leading the European division most would say no, Now 8 games in the sit 2nd in the conference 2 points behind with a game in hand. They have had key contributions from Komarov, Light, Klose who appear to be the teams front runners for wearing a letter on this team. The Storm are not as deep as many teams and there are still many questions of if they can keep this high play up. However Komarov states they will they may not win the division but he promises fans that they will play every game to win an not just give up because they were seen as underdogs. Those are bold words for a young rookie but if his play so far is any indication they will certainly compete night in and night out. Early in the season Komarov has amassed 26 hits, 14 shots blocked, 14PIMs, those were stats everyone expected to see high up there. What they did not expect was his offensive production. Through eight games Komarov has amassed six points from the back end something he was not known for when he came over to North America. its expected that the offensive production will not be sustained, however he can keep producing at a high level offensively Oslo could really surprise a few teams and hold down a playoff spot when the season winds down. Komarov credits his improves offensive output to his defensive partner Light they both have worked hard together and helped improve each others weak points. This has made them one of the deadliest combos in the league and both are still young and improving if they return to the VHLM the could be the deadliest defense pairing in the VHLM. They both are strong in the opposite area which makes them a deadly combo that can shut down, and produce offense from the back end. When teams play Oslo they know they will need to make this pairing ineffective or they stand no chance in victory. Something teams early on have not been able to do as Light is among the top defenders in points, Well Komarov is close to the top in almost every other major category for a defenders well many ahead of him have played more games played.
  7. Komarov had yet to play a VHLM game an was widely regarded as the rawest prospect in the tournamaney. However when he joined the team he provided an instant impact. Despite playing very little an with bare minimum production he helped provide a moral boost the team needed. With Komarov in the line up they Vasqitian went 12-1 capturing not only the points lead but the Super cup. Komarov stated that well he wasnt a big part of the victory he said his experience was valueble to him going forward. Now with a cup ring on his finger he heads to Oslo where he hopes to be a big part of the team an chase for another ring in the VHLM. His experience in the super cup could mean he holds am edge over a few players in his draft class. Only time will tell how he uses this experiance an if it pays off for him.

  21. Komarov late edition helps Vestiquan He may not have put up big numbers in his first 4 games managing only a hit, shot blocked, an a plus one rating in four games. He played minimal minutes but that didn't stop the rookie from being very vocal behind the bench. He was constantly seen providing support for teammates an cheering them on trying to provide anything he could for the team to win. It seemed to have worked as the Vestiquan team managed to pull off four wins. The kid despite being only a rookie was noted as being very vocal in the locker-room between periods. Most would think he was too cocky for being very vocal and trying to help lead a locker room that has many more respected or well known players, but teammates seemed to have found it as a good thing an were quoted saying he was more motivational than someone going in an insulting anyone. A few teammates even quoted the kid as showing leadership skills beyond his years. That is a quality that any team loves to have in players especially young players that have yet to be drafted. "I didn't go in there an insult them my goal is to motivate the team i may not play the most or being the most known or respected there, but that wont stop me from trying to help in every way i can". Komarov was quoted after being on the ice for game fours game winning goal.. It shows despite being a raw prospect and playing minimal ice time his impact on an off the ice has been a big one. He shows determination it will take to become one of the best defenders in the VHL.One day we fully suspect he will become a player most teams fear playing against, but also a guy every team wants on their side. We expect to see him continue to help Vestiquan rack up wins in their quest to capture the Super cup title. It will certainly be interesting to see how his play progresses throughout the tournament. Will he gain more ice time can he continue to provide energy an leadership without annoying his team an turning players on his, or will they keep respect for a player whose working hard every second hes on the ice. In a few days after the tournament Komarov will head to Oslo to join his new teammates for training camp after he was drafted in the third round. For now however Komarov stated his only goal right now is to help his team in any way to capture a title, and improve his play each and every game to become a top player. "I'm excited to join my VHLM team don't get me wrong but when your playing in such an important tournament you have to focus on that, once i get to Oslo my focus will be solely on helping that team become a powerhouse an try to capture that title". This rookie is certainly a fiery competitive soul that has shown early on to be a driven player. It will be interesting to see what kind of role he plays in Oslo next season.
