This is very true.  I had a lot on my plate at the time... I was an AGM for five seasons (waiting in the line to finally GM) and was the VSN head scout for many seasons as well.  I was feeling the burnout coming... the ban was the straw that broke the camel's back.  I lost alot of earning potential and returned on an island feeling very unmotivated, so alot of points were left on the table.

I might add that the first three seasons of Fire's career were the pre-hybrid attribute system and Fire benefitted from a shallow Toronto lineup so Fire was able to pad stats.  The remaining six were, quite long, but Fire moved around from team to team and nearly got a Cup with Prague.

1 - Which draft pick will pan out the best.  Kimi has improved so here's hoping the Watchmen see success.

2 - Probably Cologne and Vasteras.  Not too worried about the others.

3 - Toe drag snipe top left or above the pads on either side, whichever is left unchecked.

4 - Probably This is the Time by Nothing More.  What a banger.

5 - Pizza.  Please....

6 - Pretty good.  I kept it simple and said I want to eat vegetables way more often and so far no problem.

In theory they wouldn't be allowed to apply the tpe.  They would stall that at 400 and have past that in the, since they have an active player in the vhl.

Anyway, would be cool to see more stats on team scoring, league leaders and player pages.  Maybe some font or formatting changes for the aesthetic, maybe some color.  It looks a bit tame for my taste but I speak for myself only.  Perhaps some profile picture/jersey number on the player page could be cool.  There's my suggestion for the resolution for 2024.

1 - Yeah of course.  It's always interesting to see which interview paid off and who takes the gamble on your services.

1 - It must have been a puck-luck thing because we hung with them until the very end.

2 - Maybe a bit in hindsight but a loss is a loss, it doesn't matter against who in the end.  We could say we were the second best team and that wouldn't be bad.

3 - We had a chance against everyone.  We put up a good fight this past season.

4 - I'm eligible for both drafts and yeah I don't think I'll be competing anywhere I have race cars to drive.

5 - Plans are to enjoy Christmas and New Years, race cars, spend time with family and settle into my new home wherever I'm drafted.  I'll be working on a new training program, yeah.  Hopefully I'll be ready in time for the VHLE.

6 - We keep it local and low-key.  Lots of food will be had!

1 - I wasn't nervous for us, I have faith in our team to get through it

2 - When Pipo is on his game, any game he's in is a defining moment.  He's just been so great

3 - Our usual core of Everdeen and McFlopper are at the center of the action on most nights so yeah they get the nod as well

4 - I think I'm contributing in a secondary role.  Kimi needs to score more but just Kimi so fast and he's just everywhere

5 - Yeah they're the favorites for now, we got to game seven!  I don't think it means too much, alot changes with momentum from the start of the season to the playoffs.

6 - It very well might be, the games aren't played on paper though...

1 - I think maybe we just didn't score enough goals in the close losses.  We could have been better.

2 - We can tangle with them, yes.  It will be a long series hopefully.

3 - I've noticed some deficiencies in my play, I will be addressing that.  Overall it hasn't been bad nor optimal.

4 - Yeah Luna was the one driving the offense since day one.

5 - Pipo, our goalie.  He will carry us far

6 - I shall be moving on from here, yeah... I have no clue where though

1 - Well Sasky has gotten away ahead of us, but its a battle between us and the Aces for sure no doubt.

2 - That will only be apparent during the playoffs really, no real winner yet.

3 - I think we are a hardworking bunch and encourage each other to progress.  That should be enough to join up

4 - Nah, I'd rather just get straight into the first round really.  Maybe there shouldn't be a series but some kind of two game, home and home playoff aggregate thing there for the wild card teams.

1. A few not great sims, and we've come back down to earth, currently occupying 3rd division spot. Is this the team we are, or just a bad stretch?

5. Halfway through the season is also a great time to project - who do you think will lead the team in points in the end?

 

6. Do you support NHL reaching out to fans worldwide with events like the Global Series, or would you prefer the teams to stay in NA and focus on playing?

1 - I think we can be higher in the standings yeah, but overall our defense has been pretty great.

2 - We have spots open on the team so they can come join us if they want to.  Not really a hot spot, but an attractive and competitive team.

3 - I think we are good in every spot.  I don't think there are holes in our game, just need more 'puck-luck'

4 - Our goalie.  Popa has been fantastic for us.

5 - Everdeen.  Been our hottest forward all season

6 - Eh, why not.  One way or the other will be pretty telling on how the world views hockey.
