  2. Winning isn't that hard in our conference. For some reason, players like to load up on teams in the opposite conference and then complain about how weak our conference it. People look to join teams to stack the deck. When those teams all try to stack the deck at the same time you end up with a situation like we have right now. I don't know much about what it takes to make a title contending team in this league, but I can look at TPE numbers. From what I can see, the NA is much better than the EU. Calgary, NY, Seattle, and Toronto all have better rosters than the top two teams in the EU (Cologne and Riga). Why do players go the path with the most resistance in this case? Wouldn't the logical thing be to load one team up in the EU and not have to worry about even making it to the championship? One team is going to miss the playoff that could be likely be the #1 seed in the opposite conference. It's absolutely crazy to think that, unless I forget how the playoff work and am completely wrong. It's respectable to earn your wins, but in a case like this I think it's pretty dumb to think those situations are better. You gotta make it to the championship before you can win it. Everyone request trades to Riga and let's win another.
  3. The Riga Reign are your defending champions and they now have a huge target on their backs. Night in and night out, they are getting the best that every team has to offer and it has led to second place standing in what is considered the "weak" European Conference. Kronos assured the masses that the Reign were not panicking. With Kronos returning to practice again, people seem to speculate if things go sour for the Reign this season he could be one of the first ones out the door on the trade block to bring back rebuild assets. Titan Kronos has turned his focus from being the flashy, look at me guy, to be a team first glue guy. He says the transition wasn't an easy one.

    You piece of shit
  5. Appreciate all the interest and everyone that took time to talk with me about build and their current team direction. After weighing my options, I feel like I have some unfished business in Riga so I will be returning there for another season. Accept!
  6. When I was drafted by the Riga Reign, they were not in a very good position. From what I had gathered around the league, they weren't very competitive in recent seasons and were in serious need of a rebuild. Kronos was one of the first pieces of that rebuild. While I think that Kronos was a reach at one due to me not knowing what the hell I was doing, we still ended up with the guy I felt was the true number one prospect in Maximoff due to a trade made during the season. The team made the playoffs and I think we actually ended up winning a playoff series or we lost in really close fashion...honestly, I can't remember. Since then the team has managed to go from the first overall pick to hoisting the cup above our heads in spite of my lack of effort during my time there. So did I earn this cup? In a way kind of. For me though, that's not good enough. I want to be the reason that we win a championship. I want to be a key piece of the team and not someone that is just depth. It was my own lack of effort that made me fall on the lines and made my player not very effective. Hell, I am a defense man with 99 scoring. Not sure what I'm doing there but maybe it works out in the long term whenever I start balancing my build out. Who knows? Kronos is in need of redemption and that's what this season is going to be about. I'm not too far gone on this player. I think I can still make it to about 700 TPE in his career. Based on what I am seeing around the league, that is still pretty good. Maybe I jump onto the second player trend whenever that option becomes available to me? Idk. Right now, Kronos seemed to be a valuable FA despite his low TPE numbers and his weird build. Guess I should focus on that FA decision now.
  7. Free Agency is something that every player wants to experience at some point in their careers to help justify their worth. When apart of a team, it can start to feel like you are just a spoke on the wheel and nothing more. You tend to lose some of your identity and become part of a system that doesn't always fit what you need or want. You hate it, but you do it because you owe it to your teammates and the guys that had faith in you from your first professional game. When that contract runs out though.....things change. Have they changed enough for Titan Kronos to consider signing somewhere else? The former number one pick in the VHL draft let it be known prior to draft day that he would be exploring all his options come his first contract expiring. This did not hinder Riga from selecting him in the draft and winning the VHL Cup in his third season. As a champion, things change. Money sometimes becomes the goal rather than going to a competitive team. Will Kronos allow dollar signs to cloud his judgement?
  8. Responded to all the PMs I have received. Wants 1 year deal so if I somehow go inactive again, someone isn't fucked over because of it An explanation of team direction and how competitive it will be compared to the conference Build advice to make the most out of my lack of TPE lead on the rest of the field.
  9. I'll start responding to the PMs I got sometime tomorrow guys. I'm not being a dick and ignoring anyone lol
  10. I knew the second I signed up for this place that there would come a point that I got bored and disappeared for a while, allowing my player to end up under performing and not reaching his full potential. Kronos was built as a defense guy when I created him because that was the position that was needed. As someone that doesn't watch a lick of hockey, I knew this would be a bad idea because I would end up getting bored and not understanding how to weigh how awesome he is doing. I deff didn't think it would happen as early as it did for me. Now with Kronos as a champion, where do I go from here? I maxed out his scoring because I thought that maybe getting some goals would make me interested in him again. A high scoring defense guy doesn't really put up enough goals to make me change my outlook. Community here is great, it's just the sport has been unable to peak my interest outside of this site. Basketball and football have always been my go to sports and I've been trying to broaden my interest by paying more attention to the others, but something about hockey just hasn't made me care about it yet. Kronos isn't going to be retired. He was a number one draft pick and I plan to put in the effort to make him a memorable one, it's just I'm worried that will come in spurts PT wise. I got to get a little more invested in this thing because I'm too damn competitive to sit back and let one of my players be average, even if I have no idea what the hell I am doing.
  11. The Rig Reign and Titan Kronos have done it. The former #1 overall pick turned role player has kept the promise he made from day one when Riga showed confidence in taking him above the rest of his draft class. Kronos promised to help turn Riga back into a contender and help them end up holding a cup high above their heads in celebration as champions. While many would have hoped that Kronos would be one of the top guys on the roster at that point, it does not seem to bother the cross sport champion in the slightest. With a USFL Championship and VHL Cup to his name, Titan Kronos is just happy to be here. When the final buzzer sounded and the Riga Reign were crowned champions, Titan Kronos couldn't hold back the emotions. He was genuinely happy. With his contract coming to an end, Kronos reassured that this isn't the last time we see him on the ice.
  12. RIGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WE FUCKING DID IT
  13. I like Riga being a franchise because I don't know where Riga is.
  14. Going number one overall has a lot of pressure attached to it. Expectations are higher than they are for most players and for your entire career you will have to watch over your should and see if the other guys from your draft class are doing better. Right now, any active player is doing better than Riga player Titan Kronos. In a weird turn of events, Kronos has seen minimal improvement in his game since entering the VHL. As a number one pick, this simply can not happen. You are supposed to be a building block for your team and Kronos has been nothing more than a disappointment. Media has attempted to track Kronos down for months now, but he has been ducking his media responsibilities. Out of the blue, Kronos was the one to approach the media after a Riga Reign closed practice session ended. The first quote Kronos gave in months was a rhetorical question. Kronos gave a slight chuckle and pulled out a flask. He took a swig and carried on. Kronos stared off into the distance, his eyes confirming he was hammered.

Depends what 15% of this player is missing. What if it's some of his fingers? That could hurt his effectiveness.
  16. Whew. Was worried we would have to deal with the pressure of trying to go undefeated.
