I would love the opportunity to participate in such an amazing event again. It would be a dream to GM my home countries Canada or Europe , Thank you for your consideration, ( I have experience with  STHS and the VHL WJC process and everything that goes along with organizing a team) Would also be willing to mentor any new GMs or work as an AGM to help new members get more involved in the community

Spence King reacted to Spartan in Alex Letang | Draft Day Experience
May 16th, 2020. 3 PM. Alex Letang sat nervously in his apartment, watching his phone sitting on his desk, waiting for it to buzz. Amid a busy day of moving out of his apartment, he made time to tune into legendary streamer @Esso2264's stream of the S72 VHL Draft. Letang had heard from multiple GM's over the past week, almost all of whom ensured he'd be a first round pick. But to Letang, where he went mattered.

As a 3rd round pick in the S71 VHLM Draft, Letang had a lot of work to do in order to even be considered a top talent in the draft. Joining the eligible draft pool just mere days before the draft, very few GM's knew much about him. However, Las Vegas took a gamble on him, and the work he put in was consistent. Letang rose to the 10th or 11th best prospect in terms of TPE earning, and one of the top first-gens available. On draft day, all the work he had put in would finally get rewarded. But he still had to wait for the call.

At 2:45, simply 15 minutes before the draft began, the phone buzzed. Letang jumped, not expecting a DM that soon. The name on the notification read "@Victor." The mysterious blue whom Letang had never spoken to, had just sent a message introducing himself. The two began some idle chit chat, only sending about 8 messages total, before the conversation died out as the draft began.

The first few picks went as expected, with Hornet and Winter both going to Davos, with Mitchell also going to Calgary. Vancouver, a team that had expressed interest in Letang, went with Digiannantonio at 4, a bold choice considering the history between the GM and the player. LVA teammates went at 5 and 6, and this is where Letang went on edge. Vancouver had expressed a strong interest in Letang, and they were back on the clock here. Although the 11th best prospect, Letang was hopeful that he would be chosen that soon. However, in a pick that wasn't very surprising, Vancouver went with Jungkok. Malmo was up next, but was a team Letang hadn't been in contact with. With the first shocker of the draft, Malmo selected Kamenov, a player many expected to be available at Malmo's next pick in the 2nd round.

And now, it was Moscow on the clock. Top talents such as Lucas Brandt, Timothy Brown, and Andrew Su were all still in play. Letang continued watching his phone, waiting for any kind of communication. Unsurprisingly though, the pick was Brandt, Letang's fellow first-gen player. Helsinki took their GM player at 10, and then it was back to stressing. Letang had previously thought his floor was at 9, where both Vancouver and Davos had both held picks. But now he was slipping, and Su and Brown were still available. Letang was preparing to be the one to slide into the 2nd round, when his phone finally buzzed. It was an invite from Victor, with no words necessary. Alex Letang was a Moscow Menace!

    The real grind starts now.

Spence King reacted to KnightRiley in Riley K Gee Scouting Report
Riley Knight Gee was drafted 32nd overall by the Prague Phantoms for the s72 VHL draft. Predicted to go In the second round Riley fell later into the draft where he got drafted after Prague made a trade to move up for him.  First entering the VHLM signed by Houston bulls a couple games into the season it took him awhile to find his feet and his place on the team, playing 68 he gained 17 goals and 46 assists almost point per game. With the Houston Bulls making a run for playoffs near the end of the season Gee played a big part in it with his improvement in scoring and his defense and offensive plays.

    Strengths: Defense
His ability to play Defense has helped the bulls win the games they had, blocking 193 shot and hitting 127 throughout the season . Being 5’10 he’s not the biggest player on the ice but doesn’t let that effect how he plays his game. He isn't scared too block shots or use his body to slow down the opposing player.

    Passing
Gees ability to pass has been a big part of his play being able to set up his team in the offensive one in making creative plays to open up the ice and setting up his players for a shot. Defensively his passes have allowed multiple team mates to get a breakaway or to gain control of the puck with the speed and aim of the pass.

    Weakness: Discipline
84 penalty minutes throughout the season has cost his team goals scored on, getting frustrated and roughing or taking stupid hooking calls, swiping his stick for the puck making it easy for the player to embellish.

    Strength:
Being a smaller player he doesn’t have the the thickness or height a lot of other Defense men have, not being able to battle in the corners against the opposing teams has lost him there pick plenty of times and getting pushed around in front of his own net has cost the team goals.

Being a young player he has lots of time to work hard on his strengths, but to work harder on his weaknesses and prove he can handle it in the big leagues and be a top defencemen. Playing with the Philadelphia Reapers in the upcoming VHLM season will give him lots of opportunities to work on his weakness and grow stronger to have the ability to play with the Prague Phantoms and be a top player for there defense.

    1)    Welcome to the Philadelphia Reapers! What do you think it means to be a Reaper?
To be a Reaper, I think it means you gotta give it your all every night or you might get dropped a line, because the next guy is just as good!
    2)    Describe your draft day experience.
It's always interesting to see were everyone ends up. I got lucky enough to get drafted by one of the best teams in the league!
    3)    How has your offseason training been going? What is the weirdest workout you do?
More of the same really, I try not to change too much as to not confuse my muscles.
    4)    Do you have any special requests for your locker setup?
I'm a pretty simple man, just the basics is fine with me.
    5)    As part of the pre-game hype, our Reaper mascot slaughters the opposing team’s mascot. We’re looking for new, inventive ways to eliminate their mascot. What’s your suggestion?
Well, I guess he could rip his heart out or something.
    6)    Philadelphia is a historic city with a ton of things to do. What are you most excited about doing with your time in Philly?
Well, I do like myself a good soft pretzel from time to time.
  9. Cheers

1)I’m very excited to be a Reaper it is a special feeling, this organization was at the top of my list coming into the draft!
    2) Draft day was awesome I was both nervous and excited not knowing where I could end up but it was a great experience overall.
    3) It’s going great This is a huge summer for me and my development. Not really any weird workouts but a lot of old fashion like the classic tire up the hill!
4)I have a lot I’m a very superstitious guy so I may need to make a list, but my biggest one is I need a fresh roll of white, black, and clear tape for every game.
5)Definetly need the reaper coming up out the the ground and taking the opposing mascot away with him ....not sure if it’s possible but it would be cool lol
    6) Gonna need to hit up some of those Phillies games and see my good buddy Bryce Harper going to work

    2. I wasn't drafted, however the choosing a team to play for yourself is probably even more stressful. So many teams made great offers but I am glad to have chosen Philadelphia.
    3. Workouts have been going well I think. Been grinding in order to be ready for when we play our first game.

Spence King got a reaction from Turner in Elsby Sr's First Draft Experience as AGM
March 18th at 8 PM marked the Live opening of the S72 VHLM draft , also the first VHLM draft newly hired assistant general manager in Philadelphia Spencer Elsby Sr’s and what an experience it was. Elsby was quoted after the draft “I could not be any more pleased with the way the draft fell into place and how things played out , I think all teams were a little shocked that no goalies went in the 1st round as I know we had that as a high priority, somehow we managed to snag the goalie we had penciled in as our first pick ended up going 34th Ovr future superstar John Poremba @celine, with the way the draft unfolded we were able to get the player we were most interested in , Jer Lefebvre , recent surprise 2nd round pick in the recent VHL draft, Lefebvre has been opening A LOT of eyes lately , and we couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to draft him and build around him”

The Philadelphia Reapers made six selections in this years draft and made some small draft pick trade to move up in the draft. Firstly the reapers traded up two spots moving S73 PHI 2nd and S72 PHI 6th to Houston for S72 SDM 2nd and were able to draft “there man” Jer Lefebvre at 19. The Reapers also Traded there S73 PHI 6th and (D) Hunter Harrison to the Yukon Rush for there S72 SSK 3rd . Finishing up there last trade on draft day the reapers felt comfortable with the way the draft was rolling and decided to move back a few spots and made a deal with Mexico Sending S72 PHI 2nd (21 Ovr) in return for S72 MEX 3rd and a S73 MEX 3rd.

After making these small move the Reapers ultimately had 5 Picks in this draft and not one 1st round pick’; 2nd Round (19), 3rd Round (27),(31),(34), 4th Round (47) and Finally 7th Roud (86). With the Reapers first pick by now every one knows his name and that Jer Lefebvre @Jer_Lefebvre. Jer is a future superstar and a proverbial 1st like center and the fans in Philly will love this guys scoring touch. Secondly the reapers were able to secure future superstar defenseman and the highly ranked “Riley Knight Gee” @KnightRiley. Riley has a fantastic season last year with Houston Scoring SEVENTEEN goals (as a defenceman) and 46 Asissts for 63 Pts in 68 GP. Riley has proven in his rookie season his offensive abilities , but he wont let you forget his defensive skills as well amazing 127 Hits and 193 Shots Blocked, this kid can do it all. With there next pick the reapers went with another highly touted forward in Turner McHugh @Turner, Turner is a pint sized energy bunny on the ice , he stands at 5”8 and 140 lbs, In 45 games on an abysmal Houston team Turner managed to Score 9 Goals and 23 Assists also averaging over a hit per game at 63/45 , Mccugh also proved clutch scoring two GWGs in S71. At pick 34 Shortly after the reapers found themselves where somehow John Poremba @CrlineDijohn14 was still on the board at 34 and the reapers made NO hesitations with their selection here  as the Philadelphia’s star Goalie from last season Isaak Sjostrom graduating to the VHL. Poremba was the ranked 3rd out of all Goalies going into the draft and being able to get a goalie of his caliber at 34 is something special. With the 3rd round coming to a close with Phillys 1st four picks all have one thing in common, and this was 100% coincidental however, Jer, Riley, Turner and John were all teammates during there rookie season last S71 playing on the S71 Houston Bulls. The reapers also selected promisng youngster Peekay Soupcan @Patpou22 in the 4th round , Peekay has alot of raw talent as he proved last season in his short VHLM stint in 20 games managing 6 Goals and 6 Assists for 12 PTS/20GP on a very week team with minimal ice time, Peekay could end up being one of the biggest steals of the draft. Lastly and deffintely not least the Reapers and @DMaximus Select Forward James Davis @I_gasselingwith the 86th pick in the 7th Round closing out Philadelphias draft day.

Spence King reacted to Jer_Lefebvre in Draft Day Experience for Jer Lefebvre
Boy now that the new season is upon us i look back at what was an absolutely amazing draft day experience for myself! First of all going into the VHL draft it was looking like I was going to land somewhere around the 30th pick overall being ranked as the 32nd player, but that was not the case and I was in shock. And as for the VHLM draft I had a hope a certain team would take me but I wasn’t sure if it would work out or not.

“With the 23rd pick in the VHL draft the HC Davos Dynamos select from Canada Jer Lefebvre”Holy was I surprised, watching thinking to land around pick 30 to jump that many picks was amazing. It truly showed that Davos saw the potential in me I feel like I have in this league, I was so excited I couldn’t wait to join in on the chats and such! What a day, Great group I’m very excited to be a part of and cannot wait to make my way to the big leagues and hopefully help win a championship or 2!

“With the 19th pick in the VHLM dispersal draft the Philadelphia Reapers are happy to select Jer Lefebvre!” Boom!!! Exactly where I hoped to land the reapers ! I had some great conversations with them about being apart of their organization, one that is poised to have a great shot this season at winning it all. They are high on me they have made that clear and I have lots of work to do to prove @Spence King and @DMaximus right for trading up to get me. I’m so excited to join forces with them and I am gonna be the hardest working, dedicated player around to show them they made the right choice...I am very greatful and can’t wait to start this new chapter tonight! Game 1 of many baby!!

    Jack Ogilvey's junior review

Born and raised in Halifax to legendary captain Gord Ogilvey of the Halifax Highlanders  (See above picture), Jack was exposed to the hockey life early in his life. Fascinated by the unbreakable bond of his father's team, he values teamwork at an early age, on and off the ice.

His father was not the most skilled player on the ice, but his hockey IQ made him an interesting playmaker, and that's what Jack inherited from him on the ice in the first place. Playing as a Pee-Wee, he prefers crafty plays and spot on passes than shooting like most of his teammates. His true potential shows in how many goals he assisted for his team, and how he retains a higher plus/minus than every player on his team. He shines in the Quebec International Pee-Wee hockey tournament,  and gathers attention from scouts.

He spends all of his younger career in Halifax, until the day he is eligible to play in the QMJHL. One of his scouting report reads "A high IQ defenceman who has eyes all over the ice. He is as comfortable in a power play as a quarterback defenceman, as well as on a penalty kill to lead the defence. Need to train his shot and skating to become a more complete defenceman."

He is drafted early in the third round by the Baie-Comeau Drakkars, who believe he could become a top 2 defenceman in a year or two for them. In his first year, Jack records 8 goals, 41 assists and a +39 differential in 60 games. However, Jack doesn't show much improvement in his second year. Rumors are that the lack of training staff and equipment in the small town, and Ogilvey opts to polish his defensive play instead of developping other hockey skills. Slightly unhappy with his development, he asks to be traded closer to his hometown, which the Drakkar agree to. He is traded to the Halifax Mooseheads, much to his delight, and his father's. He spends the season working hard with the Mooseheads and with his father,  even playing with the Highlanders in practice. Jack ends his third season in the QMJHL with 14 goals, 51 assists, and a +45 differential.

Due to his late breakout season, Ogilvey prefers waiting after the draft to pursue his career in the VHLM, to see if he can gauge some interest. He gets offers from the Mississauga Hounds and the Philadelphia Reapers. After some thoughts, he signs with the Reapers, ready to launch his career in the VHLM, and eventually his ultimate goal : The VHL.

    2) Woke up, had breakfast, trained, lunch with my dad, trained some more in the afternoon, watched a movie in the evening and went to sleep. I guess I should mention I didn't declare for the draft.
    3) Training's been good, had some great improvement on my skating and puck handling a bit. Ross Rhea, a friend of my father's, showed me this weird workout where you just punch the &@%! out of a wall.
    4) Not at all, I'm not a needy guy for my locker.
    5) To keep up with the trends and keep the fans entertained, I don't know about the way to eliminate the mascot, but a coffin dance with the dead mascot would be hilarious.
    6) Eating a philly cheesesteak and visiting the Liberty Bell for sure.

Spence King got a reaction from Jubo in Spencer Elsby's Draft Day Experience
May 15 2020, The day has finally come and its VHL draft day , Spencer Elsby rookie defenseman previously drafted late 35th overall by Philly into the S71 VHLM with only a shaky first 8 games of experience in S70 at the end of the year for Mississauga after coming to North America. Elsby However busted his ass all summer after being drafted by Philadelphia and made it a personal goal of his to be a 1st round draft pick in the S72 VHL draft. Elsby did everything and more, were talking a player who at the beginning of he season was a 3rd pairing D just there to learn and soak like a sponge.

Which he did within a month Elsby had already started making a name for himself not only in Philadelphia but around the league. When the 1st round of Draft ranking was released Elsby was the highest listed Reaper sitting at 17!! Throughout the year Elsby’s developmental pace continued to skyrocket and it was evident every game you could see he was more confident and overall a much more skilled player , his ceiling Is endless.

Now the day before VSN made an extensive and in depth mock draft and they draft experts had Elsby at 12th Overall and that would indeed make him a first round pick. The draft experts were unanimous that Elsby was a top 12 talent and all five had him at 12 or higher. However as the draft starts rolling on we get to pick 10 and Moscow makes a surprise pick with Alex Letang @Spartan ( Elsby’s Best friend/Rival) the two had been battling it out to see who would get picked first. After that things continued to follow in strange suit as pick 12 passes and Elsby has yet to be taken , and with pick 13, not taken, 14….15……16 !? and Elsby is still on the board looks like the surefire pick but now , the VHL world was surprised to year Elsby’s teammate and and late season joiner with MUCH less TPE Liam Flatten was selected at 16!! Now this is where things get weirder, Elsby was recruited by Helsinkis GM when he was 15 to come over and play the VHLM , all season Helsinki knew they were taking Valterri Vaakainen 1st round as he is there GMs player, Helsinki mentioned several times how they wish things where different and he had another 1st or high 2nd and he would have the opportunity to draft Elsby. With all the draft experts saying theirs no way Elsby goes past 12 , definitely got @Jubo07 a steal at pick seventeen , Helsinki had no idea this player would still bee available to them and did they ever get a steal , a fellow countrymen and a future HOFr
