At no point in time did I mention that the offer was revised AFTER the article dropped. It just happened to be on the same day

A few days prior, a particularly invasive article written by @Arce was published to the VHL community - presumably revealing all of the behind of scenes "tensions" occurring in Helsinki. The piece claimed to have inside knowledge on Helsinki's operations, as well as the fate of multiple players in the organization - Nico Pearce, Nezuko, Erlantz Jokinen (@jRuutu), Flynn Remy and Gustislav Nasherov. "Sources" seemed to claim that negotiations between Pearce/Nezuko and Helsinki were going poorly, a claim that is bizarrely incorrect. Just yesterday, Nezuko re-signed with the organization - one domino has already fallen. While Jokinen seems to have fallen out of favor with Helsinki management after his mid-season outburst, prospects Hammar Voss and Deron Nesbitt have already been called up - with Voss being considered as the consensus top prospect by VSN. The movement in Helsinki is not necessarily a bad thing, as a repeat of last season's disappointment would be insanity. The team is excited to see how they can compete in the EU next season. As for Nico Pearce, contract negotiations are not going nearly as poorly as the piece seemed to infer. On the day of the post itself, other (legitimate) sources confirmed that Helsinki had revised their initial offer to Pearce, and the sides were much closer to a deal. With Nezuko's re-signing, chances are trending in the right direction that the 4th year winger will remain in Helsinki.

Bit overdue, but you'll have to forgive me. It gets harder after each one to accept it. Congrats to Seattle for their victory, was a great series to follow and a fun chess battle behind the scenes. Some really great people in the organization who deserved to win a championship, and I'm very happy to see them reach that goal. Best of luck for your future. Despite the result, I am immensely proud of Moscow and everyone on the team. It takes a special level of dedication to plow through all the shit we've had to endure and adapt to over the past four seasons, and the group stuck together and had faith. Reaching four finals in a row is a very difficult feat, especially across two significant eras in our leagues history. Even when the entire league changed stylistically, and when we lost the leagues top goal and assist leader, we still ended up as the top team in the regular season - in one of the most tightly contested conferences in history. We'll be back soon. P.S. your memes are fucking hilarious @Vice

After 8 months, I have finally listened to this podcast. Thank you for all of the kind words, about all the people on the team especially. It really was a fantastic group of people, and they have been for every finals team since we first got there 4 seasons ago. You hit on really all the points on everyone on the roster, why they were such good fits for the team both as a player and a user. I also was in shock in how I was able to get Victor onto the roster that season. Fortunately Bek was willing to stay as a backup for another season, but the cap gymnastics that went into it was mildly mindboggling and it just worked out somehow. We traded away Bob Tristan, Jaromir Lemeiux and Andrew Bowman to get the cap low enough where we could bring in two players on 1.5M deals to complete the roster. I have no clue how it worked out but it did. Anyways I've embraced the jinx and listened to this in its entirety. Begone curse!

It took me a while to really get into some of BMTH's older stuff but it's generally been the frequent albums on my Spotify main page the past couple weeks. They had a dope throwback set in Malta that I hope they sell official audio/video of sometime, I'd definitely buy it. Hope they also perform some of the throwbacks in September when I'm going to see them! Moscow is in the finals yet again, it's pretty neat to have gotten this far while moving around a lot of pieces since the first iteration of the playoff squad in S80. I have a 100% rate of reaching the finals if I make the playoffs as a GM, which is interesting. So far though I also have a 0% success rate, so that's less fun. This one feels like the one to turn it around though, just need a bit of a rebound from Papa. Couple GM openings that I'll be watching with a keen eye as I think there are some great candidates out there. Who replaces the E/M GM's that move up will also be interesting to see. In terms of BoG leaks/updates, looks like we've got some VHL GM QoL changes on the docket, some Career Task stuff that seems to be in its final stages, and ongoing discussions regarding roster sizes/finances for both the short and long term. Oh and also discussion around uncapped TPE opportunities and how to make them fit back into the mold of "rare and valuable uncapped tasks" vs the weekly expectation of TPE. That's a fun one to discuss, and will be jeopardizing my 100% satisfaction rate I've seen in community responses to changes I've been part of since January. The end is nigh!

Go Papa go

We did struggle a lot out of the gate, like a long stretch of no offense. Booberry kept us in the race the whole time though.

Not bad, go Papa

1. I think we're hunting for the best odds bump possible, naturally. If we're going to miss the playoffs, we better have a fire lit under our asses. 2. I only follow the lottery tournament if I'm in it, same for WJC. WC is more interesting to me since I'm a commissioner for it, but I want to make it interesting for everyone to follow. 3. I think we should be placing more value on WJC/WC since we have other tournaments to keep people busy in the offseason. Bring the value back to the national competitions. 4. Las Vegas of course, but only because I had a role in designing it 5. Probably the Avalanche. They've got a fantastic team all around and they're fun to watch. 6. Dunno, maybe in the next decade? Rough for them but I'm a Pittsburgh fan so they could never win again for all I care lol.

Not gonna lie, I think either you got cut out when I screenshotted it or it didn't like how long it was. Your name was in the Excel file, I just verified. You should have been the same size as Blade, Fonzi and Doom

Slandering me and Ruutu in one post, what garbage.

I think the comment was for two reasons. First, VAN is playing a bot over a human goalie, and second, VAN doesn't own their first round pick. LA does. I don't know if there's any rules around the lotto tournament that allow/bar a GM from running suboptimal lines in the lotto tournament if you don't own your pick.
