And @bigAL there can be more than 1 trapper in the game fyi
-
A little deception goes a long way eh? Yes, I'm trapper. I said I visited someone because obviously I can't, and therefore saying I visited someone and the ensuing suspicion would have meant mafia wouldn't target me. Didn't expect a D2 lynch push though, so I suppose my attempt at a big brain play didn't work out. Proceed as necessary!

The disrespect for @MSO94, considering he topped the leaderboard for goalies last season in SV% and GAA.

Considering how psychics have been in our ToS games, forgive me for not trusting Devise's claim considering it's pretty easy to fake, especially with this many people. With mafia in the game, this faction could be pretty big. That being said, I visited someone last night and feel somewhat important enough to not reveal as of yet. I promise more info shall come when I have it . I suppose now I must make the obligatory request for TP tonight.

Solid showing from @WentzKneeFan036 today, and plenty of scoring from all over the roster. Big wins!

1. I mean, the best case scenario is winning the cup. Whether we're in a position to do that is the big question, but I have faith in the folks on the team to step up and get the job done. 2. I think we're just going to get on the ice every day and try to be the best we can be. 3. I don't think this is a decision for me to make, as we're in the business of winning games, not planning on what to do if we lose. 4. In terms of individual awards, I don't think anyone has won anything yet. Would be nice to see some folks win individual awards, but would prefer a championship trophy instead. 5. I think my immediate goal is just to adapt to the Dragons' style of play and continue to build chemistry with my teammates. 6. Winter, I love snow!

A more serious response to your post here. I agree that every GM should be taking measures to be engaging or making some effort to engage every member on their team. I relied on my AGM's as well to foster locker room activity when we had all Discord users, and to also help me drive forum LR activity when we had forum only users. The key is just to be flexible with your members and try to understand what motivates each person, because it's all going to be different. I've had some users who really appreciate DM communications, and primarily use that instead of chatting in the team LR. I've had others who appreciate their work being put on a pedestal for everyone else on the team to see and appreciate. Every GM should continually try to take steps to get to know their players better and understand what keeps them engaged and happy. It's something that's unique to every player, and it's something every GM should be thinking about. I think about it a lot as well, and how to engage the most amount of people possible. Now, if what you're looking for is specific ways of getting engaged with or interacted with, I don't think it's particularly difficult to reach out to your GM/AGM and let him/her know that you would like if "x, y, and z" happened. GM's have lives as well, some can't be around all the time to just figure stuff out without being told. I get busy with classes and other life stuff, so I can't really turn a sim league job into a real life managerial time commitment, where I'm trying to fully understand every player on my team. I think it's a two way street, and both players and GM's should be taking steps to figure out how to best engage everyone .

@Victor I hear cries for every team to have forum LR's

Hell if it counts, I'm happy to do it. But overall, I think there are better ways to be encouraging members and helping them to post decent quality content on forums, and even to hold GM's to a higher standard. I don't think it's particularly difficult to see if players enjoy playing on a team and under a specific GM. If the primary reason for this discussion is to hold GM's to a high standard, then performance reviews can easily be a thing. I think @Berocka held some sort of poll on his own as well, and that was a nice insight to how people around the league feel about GM's. If a GM isn't hyping up his own team, there's a problem. If a GM isn't active at all on forums, there's a problem. But to try to implement a very specific PT that every VHL and not VHLM GM has to do seems like a way to cause burnout. I think VHL.com articles doing a "weekly recap" could be fine, but I'd rather encourage one of my players to write that kind of article and get the TPE for it.

Happy to do this, but I'll just be writing "Moscow Moscow Moscow" until I hit 500 words.

Captains Captains Captains! Look at me, posting captains on the first day of the season instead of after the TDL. I'm so proud of myself. I'm also especially proud of our captain and alternates this season. Moscow tradition typically gives our letters to the longest tenured members on the team, and I'm happy to say that the tradition will be continuing this season. All three of our longest tenured players are active and positive contributors to our team, both on and off the ice. Let's dive right into it! A - Cole Newhook - @GrittyIsKing09 Gritty is the best. There really isn't that much else to say. He was in the beautiful Moscow S72 draft class and has been our most active forum locker room member. Probably because he doesn't use Discord lol. But he's one of the few people I talk with in DM's somewhat frequently, and one of the best kiddos I've ever met. Congrats Gritty! A - Pietro Angellini - @okifenoki My fellow Penguins fan, Oki was also in the S72 class and holy hell he tore it up in the first sim of S77. A hat trick to get the season started is incredible. He recognizes that it's going to take the veterans to step up and lead if Moscow wants to have a decent season, and man has he done that already. He's also recently been freed from the evil clutches of work, and we get to have more time with the league's best Teddy Blueger fan. Congrats Oki! C - Fat Palloon - @UnkemptCL4PTP Perhaps not one of the most vocal members in the locker room, but easily the most consistent and loyal players I've ever met. No matter what role he's played in the past, he's accepted his position and has done whatever he can to help the team win. He's already embraced his new role of Moscow's #1 defenseman, and is stepping up to take a leading role on the team. It's only right that he also steps up to the captaincy, and will be leading our team for the rest of S77! Congrats buddy! Moscow Moscow Moscow!

VSN Presents: Season 76 Off-Season Trade Reviews

Moscow Moscow Moscow! Oh and go DC! -
There's a scale of improvement that we hope to see from folks as they continue making graphics. Folks make graphics for the first time ever after they join sim leagues, so we understand that they need some time to get better. However, you've been making graphics for quite a bit of time, so the bar is higher for you than someone who is posting one of their first few graphics. Hope that makes sense!

fonziiiiiiiiiii congrats buddy!

Considering you're tagging me in a thread I never opened or knew existed, I think we know who's living rent free and where.
