I think the best argument for our current system is that it still promotes activity. Over half of the TPE you earn from donations cannot simply be claimed. 6 out of the 11 TPE that you can receive from donating is in the form of a doubles week which requires you to do a point task. Of the three leagues you mentioned we're the least bad for "pay to win" in that regard, at least in my own honest opinion. I'm not in the SBA or EFL anymore, but from what I understand they have a system in place that allows you to pay and receive capped TPE for the entire season. That allows anyone who can afford it to buy it and then dip for the rest of the season activity-wise and still have a good player. Leagues that allow you to earn with very little effort seem to end up with very few active members in the long run. (GOMHL, rip). I do not believe an extra 11 TPE is necessarily "pay to win" either, especially with the randomness of the sim engine. Once a player reaches approximately that 700 TPA mark, all players success is basically in the hands of the sim league gods at that point. My last player's best season was in his last and after he heavily regressed, just as a personal anecdote in that regard. Very thought provoking article and it's interesting how the money league users view us that way. I honestly had no idea. 10/10

Biggie Cheese currently has 208 TPE and is tied for 8th in the S81 class with Wattson Power. This would put him to be projected early to mid 2nd round in the VHLE draft if we’re basing it off of TPE. 1. A team that I think would good fit would be Cologne. I like their logo and branding and they were my number one pick for when I applied for GM. I didn’t get the position, but would like to play for them most if I had to play for anyone in the VHLE. It looks like they will have a stacked defense next season and I would be the sixth defenseman. They finished in 5th place, so they would most likely pick 8th. That’s about right in my range. 2. My second pick would probably be Rome. They are currently finals-bound after sweeping Bratislava in the first round. I think they will be competitive and they need defense due to the fact they only have three on the roster and Nalwa is moving up after the end of the season. I think I’d get a lot of playing time on a competitive team. I also like their logo and team colors.

We're almost as far away from the west coast as you could possibly get, but that aside: Don't blame you for saying USask is irrelevant. The architecture of the buildings is pretty cool and it's nice to walk around but there isn't really that much to do. I've done fuck all since I moved here tbh. Hope you liked playing with the Wild, some of my best memories in the VHL were with that team. We won a cup in S72 and that was probably favorite championship team in the VHL as well. 8/10

Probably the most fun I've ever had on an online forum has been in this league and I've never been a GM aside from a few isolated offseason things. (I've been AGM for a long time but that doesn't count). I think that if you're not happy in the league as a non-GM, you won't be happy in a GM position either. I hope you are able to get back on track and do what you have to do to achieve that. I also respect you for stepping down at a point where you knew that you had to, as it isn't fair to the players if the GM goes inactive or becomes disengaged with the team. If you need anyone, VHL will be here for you. 10/10
